It shows you take pride in your work when you seemingly treat all customer projects as if it were your own. Always leaving the project clean and pretty. Love it
After watching how quickly you were able to load the haul truck with the 350, it feels like it takes forever with the 220 lol. Chris, it's imprssive how much work you are able to accomplish all by yourself. Kudo's to you sir!
Love watching an expert do his job. That dam looks so much better and will be a lot easier to care for. Thanks for sharing and bringing us along for the ride, Chris.
The surprise in your voice when looking at what has been achieved is humbling to hear. Your work is top shelf LetsDig18. Barney sure did put in a good days work as did the 220 - the boss as well did OK too :)
Change in plans when the owner wants to raise the pond depth. But Chris keeps right on hauling dirt. I was thinking the same thing Chris. Didn't even make a dent. One man band. Think you need to change caps for every job on a different machine. ha ha Taking down trees you make it look so easy. Glad Robert will be helping you tomorrow. Take care. Enjoyed the video.
Another great video - watching that excavator work those trees always gives me 🪚chainsaw🪚 envy and inadequacy syndrome in each of you videos. Thank you. All the best and God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸
What a difference Chris it doesn't look like the same pond anymore. Come spring time and grass is in this pond should turn out to be something special.
When you say pushing dirt is not interesting I disagree. I would like to see how you cut and distribute the dirt on the slope and leave it so smooth. Might get the courage to rent a dozer if I could see “how it’s done” by a pro. Thanks for the lessons.
I like “TIMBER” and “SLICKEN EMUP”, means your making progress, and we get to see some sweet looking finish grades. Thanks for the update, enjoyed watching.
What a total transformation from when you started and now close to the end! That's the best after picture I've seen. And I am sure when it is finished, it will look even better. Great job!
Very nice work. After you start a job. People see the skills first hand. They change and make it bigger. That's a very cool thing while your already there.
I've been following you since early 2020. Every job is if it were your own property. You are a true professional and highly skilled operator, guessing which is why Jeff of 'Bealy Good' keeps calling you back.
Chris, it is alike whether You a Old Pond repair, and a new Overflow to put, or a new Pond building. This is a Work what Nobody so Perfect , and in short Time can make, how You. So incidentally Product You a Video from first Class. Thanks.
With all the concrete being poured from all the projects you have been involved in,ever thought about buying a concrete plant, wouldn’t have to worry about when your concrete would get delivered, just saying it’s a thought.total change of the pond, made it look like a pond that’s been there for 100 years.great job, great video.just keep doing what you do best.be safe.kudos.on too the next adventure.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Just a thought Chris, maybe wearing a hat microphone would help cause your machines are making it hard to hear what you're saying. Enjoy watching your videos. Please don't take this as a negative and keep making your videos, your faithful viewer!!!!
For those times when you need to "hand mix", surprised you don't have a mixer bucket for the Skid Steer. Mix and dump where ever it can go. If you're careful, it won't splatter all over your machine.
There is another storm brewing in the Gulf that should hit Texas and Louisiana Monday. We will have to wait to see if it comes your way. So far you all have gotten more rain than we have in Florida.
🇨🇦It’s so crazy watching this episode. All the fine work taking place meanwhile…as I watch the shots from your camera looking at that area where your transit is sitting knowing that that’s the area the leak stemmed from later on. 😮
Since I usually have to go over my own work two or three times.., "I figure that waffle maker compactor would be the perfect machine for me to operate. I could run that machine and make it look like I know what I'm doing...
So raising the dam means a change in water level right? What does that do to the old emergency spillway? Do you have raise it as well, and that would mean matting till grass holds right? Sure does look like a whole new place there. Looking good.
Chris when you say this is not very exciting, let me tell you, the chair that you are sitting on is a lot more exciting than mine. I am sure most of your viewers have some affiliation with real work and some have a lot of experience. I count myself in the latter category. -Feeling (I guess seeing in this case) the rhythm of the work and listening to the machine as an extension of myself and the fact that most of the time you do what I would done and the times you don’t turns out well anyway. I say progress and accomplishment is enjoyable to watch and be part of no need to “put out exciting content” All the best Emil
irritating when subcontractor / supplier cant/wont give you an answer. backslope of dam so much better. that washout ate alotta clay, but better to overdo it then cut corners create future problem. dam being compacted way better with each trip haul truck makes across
The key is the clay used in the center core of the dam. As long as that compacts well, becomes stable, and most importantly, holds back water. This isn’t a huge dam that holds back thousands of acre feet of water. By definition under North Carolina law, an un-permitted dam like this one cannot present a danger to life or property if it were to fail. It will just let a lot of water flow down stream. And yes, this isn’t the greatest of dirt but in this case you can replace quality with quantity. It’s pretty wide for the elevation such that the earth used doesn’t have to hold back much lateral force. Again, as long as there is enough clay to hold back water. And as Chris said in the video, it packs well. It’s just moist. So it will work fine.
@@Bill_N_ATX Thank you for the detailed explanation. You rarely get that on TH-cam. Yes, clay is always good and important as a dam core. I just thought that the covering material could be quickly washed away in heavy rain or a flood. I've seen this happen here several times, but without the dam breaking.
@@BensHalloween Well, erosion control is key no matter what type of soil you use in an earthen dam. Especially in the areas where you might have a simple emergency spill way where you just plan on water going over the top of the dam in a specific area. You’d usually use rock or something like roller compacted concrete in those areas for larger dams but in a small farm dam you can usually get away with just a good grass cover, perhaps with a starter mat for the first few years till the roots became well embedded. Again, this dam doesn’t have that large a drainage area so you aren’t talking a huge flow, even in storm conditions. When you get to the larger dams, you have to be a lot more careful. You can go back and look at some of the larger lakes the Chris has built and they are very well engineered and constructed.
I’ve been watching you for a few years now. You sir, are an artist.
It shows you take pride in your work when you seemingly treat all customer projects as if it were your own. Always leaving the project clean and pretty. Love it
Bealy Good is getting all the concrete!
Hah ha…. I can see it now, “Hey Geoff, can you get me a place in line to have a half load delivered?”
@genesispuredeaf2390 don't forget the gravel 😂😂😂
I always like the pond "renovations" . I reckon the owners get value for money as the pond and surrounding areas looks so much better.
After watching how quickly you were able to load the haul truck with the 350, it feels like it takes forever with the 220 lol. Chris, it's imprssive how much work you are able to accomplish all by yourself. Kudo's to you sir!
Great comparison. Was watching Dirt Perfect loading with the Case 140 into Bubbadump and it took 14 scoops to load
I love watching you repair dams, you are a regular Sherlock Holmes finding the leak source and then coming up with a solution to repair. TIMBER!
Another great video on this project bro, looks tidy even before the overflow goes in. Safe travels. Ken.
That was a tough one man job and you made it look so easy. Well done.
"More haste, less speed" - I love the way you're always thinking ahead!
Love watching an expert do his job. That dam looks so much better and will be a lot easier to care for. Thanks for sharing and bringing us along for the ride, Chris.
What a change compared to a couple days ago. Letsdig18 quality, professional. reliable, excellence. Failsafe that dam for an enjoyable fishing pond.
If you was down south you’d be digging my pond for sure, dang you do some good work , I mean everything from the roads to the digging just awesome
The surprise in your voice when looking at what has been achieved is humbling to hear. Your work is top shelf LetsDig18. Barney sure did put in a good days work as did the 220 - the boss as well did OK too :)

Pond Master still at it. You, Robert & 27 bags of Sacrete can lock in the overflow pipe. The improvement in the dam already shows.
Another great video - watching that excavator work those trees always gives me 🪚chainsaw🪚 envy and inadequacy syndrome in each of you videos. Thank you.
All the best and God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸
Loved that timelapse scene with the backfilling! so cool to watch your one-man-show and watch you switching between the machines :D
It`s cleaning up real nice Chris, can`t wait to see the overflow go in.
What a difference Chris it doesn't look like the same pond anymore. Come spring time and grass is in this pond should turn out to be something special.
We❤ the timber ! Great job editing, very entertaining.

I like guessing the slope and amount of dirt it might be. 😊😊😊😊
Good machine.
You can learn a monkey how to operate a machine to move earth. It takes a Chris to get the one and only sort picked out and put it on the right spot.
Looks like it’s all starting to come together. Looking good .
👍

Quite the change from your first video!! It’s coming along!! Bring on the overflow box!!
What a total transformation from when you started and now close to the end! That's the best after picture I've seen. And I am sure when it is finished, it will look even better. Great job!
Now that looks like you made it wow sharp man
great jop Chris, love watching someone that can work
Looking nice Chris.
Very much a certified dirt artist. Really looking nice. ❤❤❤❤😂
The dam sure is looking great. I'm always amazed at how great a job you do on these jobs.
Very nice work. After you start a job. People see the skills first hand. They change and make it bigger. That's a very cool thing while your already there.
Looking so much better then when you started. Thank you and have an awesome week.
That’s gonna look great. I don’t think there was much holding up those three trees.
Good morning from Lake Como, Italy!
I really like what you do What a cool channel.

Looking great 👍🏻🇺🇸
Looking really good Chris, then again expect nothing less from you..
Looking good
Always enjoy watching your process of analyzing and rebuilding better
Sure would like to see the large pond that you dug months ago behind the large building. You moved a lot of dirt on that job!!!
Beautiful work
Old 220 still getting it done.
Chris, you are one really busy man.. Thanks for sharing your video's. I look forward to watching them...
Looking great a lot of work to get it done
Great job as usual. You have mastered running that equipment. Very talented. Thanks for sharing.

Would love to the current pictures of the pond with the large island in the middle and the beach behind the shed.
Looking good Chris
Great job 👍🏻 love fast motion 😂 22:30 would have loved to see you push the dirt love how you said karate chop love how you said see ya
"always a plus"
LD18 will always get a thumbs up.
I rarely comment
Love to see work Chris or play with your Machines .
The landowner just had a bunch of soil stacked up on their property? Nice looking job.
Yup he was planning on this for a while
Great Job AGAIN 👏 Let's Dig 18. AGAIN and AGAIN thanks for sharing 😊
you can't get concrete Chris because Mr Bealy Good needs it lol
Nice work.

Looks good pretty slope on the damn
You put a lot of money and time into that haul truck but it certainly has paid for itself many times over.
I remember him saying he didn't need one but look at him now. And there is nothing wrong with it he's just grown to need one😊
He actually does the services and repairs needed. To keep them going and in top condition
Good afternoon love the videos and as always keep up the great work!

Awesome job Chris very satisfying video thanks🏴👍
👍🏻👍🏻because one is never enough
Good evening Chris ☺️😊❤
I’m always surprised you’ve never put greedy boards on the sides of the a25
It already had rectangular steel tubes welded to the top edges of the box before he acquired it.
it already has 8" bed extensions
There is another storm brewing in the Gulf that should hit Texas and Louisiana Monday. We will have to wait to see if it comes your way. So far you all have gotten more rain than we have in Florida.
I hope not. I remember the over dam that he repaired it end up being washed out, that sucked.
He raises the pond up a foot, next year you can come back and clean up the dead trees around the edges. Job security.
Nice video Chris.
I know you're not finished yet, but it is looking 150% better already..
Good job mate I reckon you have done a great job
292nd!!
Looks badass ,young man!!

from his text notification sound, you know this dude had a Nextel until like 2018.

Hello from western ky we could have used some of that rain you been getting

Annnd next you'll be taking trees down around the pond...

MM77 Approved 👍🏼 👍🏼
This is looking SO GOOD…of course!!!
👏👏👏💯💯👏👏👏

Gonna be a lot of dead trees once that pond is raised up another foot.
Great work Chris. I am curious how much does a repair like this typically costs.
I’d assume that this is a hourly job continue working until the customer is satisfied $$$
Seems like a lot of rock in the dam. I don't know if it's a hindrance but Seems a lot.
THANKS!
How come you make everthing so perfect Butt dirt perfect is so massey
didnt you consider a few years back buying a mixer bucker for the skid steer for exactly these kind of jobs
Chris, don't you miss dredging retention ponds?
He sure was the master of mats and went where no man had gone before.
Yes and no. It was fun but also extremely aggravating
@@letsdig18 I was binge watching some of your older vids this morning. The rental recovery was classic.
Hello Chris, I thought Geoff Bealy was doing a big pour tomorrow morning and would want you there in case of a screw up?
