We can do better at games now, since we have more experience now compared to us as kids. But yeah, I agree. I think what is "Normal/Hard" now would have been about "Easy/Normal" in the 90s-era of gaming,
Not really. Movie stars, I'm talking A list movie stars, is only becoming to be a thing. More so in the future as gaming industry grows even more. Call of duty had Hollywood leads . We had Fallout 3 father as Neeson , we had Samuel BMF Jackson himself in a big lead role in GTA3. A lot of famous voice actors, Sheen in Mass Effect as the lead voice made the game at least 33% better.Seth Green also in ME, made Joker legendary. Then we had a Jack Black game, we had a game about Danny Trejo, the machete guy, was also in GTA 3 as a voice actor. We had Until Dawn with a lot of good tv series actors showing their actual skill having their movement and voices, emotions on faces captured. Hideo Kojima is currently making a game with 2 A list celebs in the lead roles, Death Stranding. He got Reedus and Mikkelsen having big roles. Mark hammil as the Jokers voice has become stuff of legends. 50 cent even made a game. There is actually a rising trend of using hollywood actors with their real life models put in game so you have an actor realistically play cutscenes. This is due to technology reaching to a point where we can record emotion and face movement to such detail that real life actors with motion cap are really valuable, also cool to attract people to games by using real life models of actors. +Besher Sawas don't get me wrong i play ally soviet and empire too but ally campaign. Is more interesting than another campaign and i don't serious about how cheap or expensive of any unit because i'm gonna train them and make them survive in battle soviet campaign is good too some of there mission is pretty hard and it's challenge your command skill while the empire is more challenging you have to beat both ally and soviet Ok i like to play ally because this only one reason We side with the soviet!!!!!!! Red alert 2 we must fight each other (not inclue yuri's revenge)
+Simon Rolley will it's not like they can summon shogun executioner know can they that was just for like one mission. And their is no op class in CNC 3 it's balanced. It's just on how you play it
Only one little thing, In the first game we learn that Einstein travels back in time and kills Hitler and in doing so screws up history so that the USSR instead started WW2, But if these two now have killed Einstein in the past BEFORE he even killed Hitler then that would have buttlerflied a lot of the older games out of existance!? We KNOW that one of the butterflies is that Japan was never defeated!
Петр Петров no that is not true, in the red alert 1 intro starts in 1946 they travel back in time to kill hitler. In red alert 3 intro they go to 1927 and kill einstein before he could kill hitler and thus shadowwolf is right. world war II would have happened as we know it with the exception of the 2 atomic bombs which perhaps could not have been realized without einstein.
bask185 so your telling me that if Einstein was killed the Atomic Bombs would never have been made? that's it i'm building a time machine and going back to kill Einstein.
Cherdenko is just another Romanov. General Krukov is just another General Vladimir. The framing, the backstabbing. I'm actually a little surprised how similar the plot is to Red Alert 2.
If I recall correctly, original Red Alert had Einstein travel back in time to 1924 to get rid of Hitler, making Stalin the ultimate historic antagonist in his stead. I don't know what comment suits Einstein's death here better: 1) Ironic to die the same way he used to dispose of an antagonistic historical figure. 2) That series certainly likes to put time travel and Albert Einstein together and abuse the result. Never played C&C Red Alert 3 myself, in case I omitted somethig else.
Look at the year. Einstein killed Hitler in 1924, and Soviets killed Einstein in 1927. The merge happened so that Germany never appeared, just like before, and the Allies were crippled of their superior technology, losing the Prism and Chrono lines.
Lukas Dapkus The Einstein who traveled back in time was in 1946 (if you have played the first red alert it actually shows that) just right after the war. so if Einstein got killed in 1927 Einstein wouldn't be able to travel back to 1924 to kill hitler because he got killed in 1927 and in 1946 nothing Einstein did to hitler
but, i think we should thank to god because.....if albert einstein erase then there could be another ww3 just like red alert 3 timeline because if NO NUCLEAR then all superpowers will never hesitate to wars again. and it can be happend even today.
dweliq Yea I agree storywise and RA2 definitely had some cheesy fan service clips. But if you watch the cinematics in RA2 the acting definitely felt less cheesy to me. Even the costume design in this is over the top in my opinion. I think in this they were going for the "we're trying to be over the top" feel.
Kelphy X Exactly! Saints Row was a great example of this happening. I loved Saints Row 2 but 3 just got so over the top it just felt stupid. I think Red Alert 3 was probably a good game gameplay wise. But I always found the cinematics to be the reward in these games. "Thrusting deeply into our Motherland's tender nether regions"
The face on Dasha's face when Krukov said that xDxDxD
"Tim, we want you to chew the scenery like you've never chewed before."
"Sure, that's what I do."
"With a bad Russian accent."
"Now we're talking."
I have played the Allies. I am still proud and happy that I have played these cool, blue looking soliders and tanks. :)
Such an amazing cast!
"Thrusting into our Motherland's tender nether-regions."
Ohaithur
Ah the good all days, when you got a 3 sided campaign in one game, and you did not have to buy the actual game in dlcs.
You know you're in for a ride whenever Tim Curry is in it.
My... TIE MACHINE.
Muy Thai machine
MOY DIE MATCH TINE.
4:30 - "hey all the other Soviet characters have comically exaggerated Russian accents, should I do one too?"
- ""Nah just yell 'they're attacking!!' in your normal voice."
2016 and this game still on my brother's computer hopefully he didn't delete it
+Besher Sawas yup i always like to play as an ally
+Besher Sawas don't get me wrong i play ally soviet and empire too but ally campaign. Is more interesting than another campaign and i don't serious about how cheap or expensive of any unit because i'm gonna train them and make them survive in battle soviet campaign is good too some of there mission is pretty hard and it's challenge your command skill while the empire is more challenging you have to beat both ally and soviet
Ok i like to play ally because this only one reason
We side with the soviet!!!!!!! Red alert
2 we must fight each other (not inclue yuri's revenge)
+Besher Sawas and you think ally is overpowered ? Mine is empire cuz shogun executioner and more
+Simon Rolley will it's not like they can summon shogun executioner know can they that was just for like one mission. And their is no op class in CNC 3 it's balanced. It's just on how you play it
there wouldnt be a campaign, just one story mission: Putin riding a bear into battle, obliterating everything in his path with his laser vision
Tim Curry and Peter Stormare in the same scene together...wow
Only one little thing,
In the first game we learn that Einstein travels back in time and kills Hitler and in doing so screws up history so that the USSR instead started WW2,
But if these two now have killed Einstein in the past BEFORE he even killed Hitler then that would have buttlerflied a lot of the older games out of existance!?
We KNOW that one of the butterflies is that Japan was never defeated!
Actually, they killed him after he traveled in time and killed Hitler.
Петр Петров
Aha!
***** And drag the war on by another 5 years? Hell no.
All of the great actors in these omg I love this never knew how cool these actually were until right now
Cherdenko is just another Romanov. General Krukov is just another General Vladimir. The framing, the backstabbing. I'm actually a little surprised how similar the plot is to Red Alert 2.
History truly repeats itself comrade.
Jsidhu762 true but one thing they didn't repeat. mind control.^^
Probably Dasha, is the best and hottest woman in RA3.
such a stellar cast.
This is better then most Hollywood movies in last 10 years
it's like a glorious condensed mass of cliche
If I recall correctly, original Red Alert had Einstein travel back in time to 1924 to get rid of Hitler, making Stalin the ultimate historic antagonist in his stead. I don't know what comment suits Einstein's death here better:
1) Ironic to die the same way he used to dispose of an antagonistic historical figure.
Das waren noch Zeit🙂 Ich liebte C&C
Literally the Red Alert Opening Lore - *Albert Einstein dies from a handshake*
I miss Red Alert. I never got into video games but I could play that for days
Everybody gangsta until they realise Natasha is the girl from the mandalorian
lol japanese Liberty Prime
VOLTRON
I dont know why they made it this cheesy. Red Alert 1 and 2 was never "serious" but this is so over the top. Its like they're trying to be cheesy.
Come on RA2 was quite insane too.
dweliq
Yea I agree storywise and RA2 definitely had some cheesy fan service clips.
But if you watch the cinematics in RA2 the acting definitely felt less cheesy to me. Even the costume design in this is over the top in my opinion.
I think in this they were going for the "we're trying to be over the top" feel.
Kelphy X
Exactly! Saints Row was a great example of this happening.
I loved Saints Row 2 but 3 just got so over the top it just felt stupid.
I think Red Alert 3 was probably a good game gameplay wise. But I always found the cinematics to be the reward in these games. So I personally found these cinematics a bit too cheesy to be rewarding lol
ShaktiX I like how everything here is repeated. Well, except for the cheesy dick part.
***** Dear lord, is that thing leaking airag?
Krukov...buddy....listen to yourself. Thrusting into the tender nether regions? Really?
