Wow what a scale truck! Ordering one soon. The sun setter version of the real bronco was only available with blacked out rear windows. Traxxas really stayed true to the real version and hit it on the head with this truck.
So can the wheel covers or the inner fenders as you may call it... can the ones of the defender be mounted inside? I have the defender and wondering if I can remove the inner fenders and put it in the body? It’s just that I love the scale and realism of the defender. Just ordered another defender because that’s how much I love it.

I guess if I’m competing I’m gonna use a low weight lexan body and otherwise use the regular body. Any tips on how to get the most out of the defender body?
I just realized the shock mounts are part of the wheel wells. Thus you cannot remove the wheel wells, easily as it will require buying new shock mounts. When buying a new body the wheel wells are very wide and usually won't fit inside current aftermarket bodies. Thus modifications will be required to make it fit.
I enjoy your reviews, last fall I bought a TRX4 Defender and your reviews convinced me to get a TRX4 over the Axial and HPI and I have not been disappointed, this rig is awesome in the snow! I'm really digging the 1973 Bronco you made! Any chance you could do some kind of video showing how you mounted the wheel wells to that Proline body?
Ps I really like that 73 body you got on your defender. I put the pro line dessert Militia on my tactical unit. The defender I left alone also have the proline Jeep Body for the trx4s
great informitive review. I have both models of the trx4 and on the fence with this one. Do I really need a 3rd? I'm holding out for the UDR as of now.

Norway RC Adventure Make sure to adjust the diff lock servos so that the excess throw is equal in both directions. Rccrawler.com has a lot more information on the procedure.
Ya, I bought the defender too and I think it's the best truck of my 3. I didn't realize there were other bodies so now I have to go shopping again. Oh darn. When I spend hundred$ on my shit I have to spend hundred$ on my wife. What's that saying? Happy wife......
on the fence with getting another trx4 or a marlin tough decisions to be made, also i noticed you had a 4runner for your other trx4 how close is it to fitting with the new fender wells?

I love the new Kit Chassis, because the center of gravity is so much better. And that new Battery mount on the front end, it's totally awesome!!!

With this new body, where can one install a winch or that is what the optional push bar is for?
One will have to install another bumper with a little shelf space for the winch.
