    Poke ball = sofa
    Great ball = sofa with tv
    Ultra ball = couch with flat screen tv and a bed
    Master ball = a luxerey house with a 10 foot long couch,kitchen with unlimited food supply,a 20 foot long bed with two extremly soft pillows,a bathroom made of marble,a 50 foot circumference hot tub,a 50" by 100" foot swimming pool,a servant,and a 100" by 200" flat screen tv.
    That's what I think is in those pokeballs.

    There is actually a new piece of evidence for the ideal environment theory that just came up. Pikachu and meowth are in the poké ball factory and meowth accidentally gets put into a luxury ball. he says "aww a luxury ball. I have never felt so comfy" once he comes out.

    • @jamiechesnut6110
      @jamiechesnut6110 9 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      ***** yes.

    • @Yemto
      @Yemto 9 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      +Jamie Chesnut That's something I been thinking about, for why else is a great ball better than a normal ball. My theory was that the great ball would have more space, or a more complex environment.

    • @C3StudioFR
      @C3StudioFR 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +Jamie Chesnut Maybe the regular poke balls are just balls, great balls are better, ultra balls are awesome and so on. And the environment would probably depend on the poke ball more than on the pokemon as some balls work better on certain time (e.g. net balls). Maybe net balls have a lake and a small forest where dive balls have a way deeper water area and heavy balls... I don't know... a super resistant trampoline ? x)
      That doesn't really explain rapid/timer balls though and luxury balls have actually no effect on capture but on friendship so I'd guess a poke ball but with a better interior that makes the pokemon think that, well, their owner loves them more. Or something. Maybe propaganda for the owner inside? x)
      And the master ball would in that case be the perfect environment for the pokemon I'm guessing, but it must be something hard to make explaining its rarity?... I don't know.
      Cause that would mean the people making it actually care about the pokemons and you generally get it from the team [enter the name of the team in whatever version you're playing] and they generally don't care much about pokemon's well-beings. So it could just be a very strong prison.
      Or maybe they just get it somewhere though, and there's like one that made by scientists and the team doesn't actually care how it's made as long as it works but the scientists just have to make the perfect ball for the master ball to work (also, its presence in the anime and all).
      But maybe the anime and the games are supposed to be different. I mean you do have to admit you never hear about Ash in the games. And he obviously doesn't hear about the players. Maybe it's another thing about parallel universes (like in the Game Theorist video ^^).

    • @chakz998

    I always imagined the ideal environment theory, and that the better the ball, the larger and nicer the environment is. For example, the pokeball would contain a smallish environment with a few forms of entertainment whereas the ultraball having a huge environment exactly like their natural one but including things like hotsprings and stuff. Then the master ball would be an exact representation of the Pokemon's perfect home which is why no Pokemon would want to break out- why should they when their home is perfect?

      Princess Ember It would make more sense that the pokeball has no entertainment at all, just a cage. Great ball would have a few fun things inside, Ultra ball exactly like you said, and Master ball would be everything the pokemon could ever want, including friends (virtual ones of course).

      In some episodes, you can see that Pokémon can talk like humans, but humans only hear them like their name. So Pokémon can hear humans and talk to them but it won’t work. :/

    • @DavesGroovesandCreations
      @DavesGroovesandCreations 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      It’s implied several times through the games and animé that the lines between pokémon and humans are smaller than you believe. It’s also possible that in the Pokémon universe, humans evolved from pokémon or at one point were indistinguishable from pokémon (note: I’m referring to evolution akin to the real world, not Pokémon evolution in the games).
      This can explain why Pokémon are able to understand what their trainers say. It’s especially shown several times throughout the animé.

    • @DavesGroovesandCreations
      @DavesGroovesandCreations 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Maybe the evolution theory also explains why they both share similar if not the exact same genetics and brain functions, which is why pokémon and humans often understand the same moral situations, conflicts, and dilemmas as each other.

      I think being cramped up in a ball is a fair trade. Exchange freedom for safety cause b4 the pokeballs I can Imagine pokemon being a real problem cause 100% of the population can kill a human with little to no effort...and untrained pokemon has a high percentage of attacking (when they feel like it) so yeah Slpyh...are the people that said "we're going to give us (frail humans) a fighting chance" against monsters that can breathe fire that will melt your face off, walk through solid walls to rape, penetrate and dominate you in the ghost of night, shoot ice shards faster then a speeding bullet, a punch so devastating it will bullet train your brain to your ankles and put Ali and Tyson to shame, fire a high powered hydro water cannon that will crush every bone in your body upon impact, leafs that is sharper than your grandmother's butcher knife (you know the one she doesn't want you to touch) and so on....so yeah my point is very valid.

    Maybe the pokeballs are simply teleport devices and when they are in their balls they are teleported to a special area like in Ash's case to professor oaks lab. The device only allows 6 pokemon to be on standby at 1 time. This could also explain why when you capture more than the 6 they sent directly to the professor and he takes care of them.

    • @owos100
      @owos100 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love that idea, and it makes sense too. :)

    • @DraconisElibane
      @DraconisElibane 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      owos100 Another thought to add to that theory is they have shown the inside of the balls before
      and they are lined with mirrors which would continuously refract the
      light energy that we see every time they are summoned and recalled or
      captured that converts the pokemon into said energy. This would also
      explain how some pokemon who have been sitting in their ball for decades while
      never aging and they don't know what is going on because they sat there
      in silence for so long. I think they did a few different times through
      out the series / movies? I could be wrong about this and not remembering
      correctly..

    3:41 I believe in this one because when someone tries to capture a pokemon there is a chance to fail capture. What if the moment of truth when you throw a pokeball is actually (an attempt) to process and create the environment to the taste of the pokemon type. and if the pokemon dislikes the environment it just pops out. and you failed to capture the pokemon. This also explains why the pokeball disappears/breaks after one use because if the pokemon don't like the environment there must be something wrong in the data/code of the pokeball. now I can die in peace.

    • @mattcrain8048
      @mattcrain8048 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not disagreeing with you but doesnt that mean every pokeball has to be made differently? Im guessing they are mass produced which means they would all be alike.. Causing them all to build the same type of environment for the pokemon they are trying to catch.

      well i doubt the ideal environment theory , at least some of it ... you say they have food and a descent amount of space when shrunk enough etc. then why do the anime characters call them out to give them food before calling them back in . and the shrinking itself is kinda hard to believe since what if a pokeball goes down a cliff when someone drops it , the pokemon inside would be beaten and battered against the pokeball walls and would die if not faint ...

    • @Sasskitten

      And also some sort of genetic engineering that stops any attacks penetrating or burning their skin (they don't seem to actually take any injuries in the anime, just broken bones). • @itsygolele
      @itsygolele 10 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      But through out the entire anime series
      Pokemon often get into fights all on their own.
      Also it is clearly illustrated that some pokemon go out of their way to be caught, just so they can get stronger and fight. Not only that but some pokemon dont even have to fight, often times they are treated as common house pets, performers, models and actors.

    • @PKSkyler
      @PKSkyler 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      lesia amador its because in the start like red and blue and green, pokemon were basically supposed to be animals. Thats why they make grunts instead of saying their names and theres references to real world locations and animals in the dex entries.

      Don't get me wrong I like the Idea Environment Theory, but couldn't the Luxury ball just somehow shrink the Pokémon smaller to enable them to feel like they're in a larger space? Although I could see where some padded walls would be nice...but then you'd be subjecting the Pokémon to more of an environment to a Psych ward. Now I'm just contradicting myself though...what to think haha XD

    luxury balls.
    I always thought that the pokeball just converted the pokemon into code and changed its brain patterns to obey its user. the only reason they rebel when traded is because they are originally coded to obey their original trainer. however, you can assert your dominance if you have enough badges.
    sounds pretty cruel, right? but it makes sense, considering that the primary manufacturer of pokeballs was silph co a company heavily influenced by team rocket. after team rocket left, silph co didn't change because the pokemon industry is a booming success. I'll bet you anything a normal 10 year-old doesn't have the strength to train a giant fire dragon without some sort of mind control

      SurrealKeenan I don’t believe so. Most pokémon were shown to gain the trust of their trainer through different situations. They often needed something to convince them to join their trainers and obey them.

    The theories here are all great (I had heard most of these elsewhere) but there is one thing that people seem to neglect.
    The games constantly refer to the fact that Pokeballs are made from Apricorns and that Apricorns were used BEFORE Pokeballs were manufactured. How could a fruit provide a habitat? What was it like before the Pokeball?

    • @MandJTV

      Well, in the X and Y version, they talk about a big war ages ago, right?
      And, in the war, the pokémon fight each other.
      So let's say.. One group is Charizard and Squirtle and they have their trainers.
      And the other group is.. Blastoise and Weedle and they also have the trainers.
      So back then, they probably *already* had their pokéballs. Or they didn't need them. I'll have to dig for more..

    I like the "Ideal Enviroment" theory, actually. It's possible if you think about it if you use different types of pokeballs. Like the LuxuryBall would be the most comfortable and lets the pokemon relax in luxury. A Diveball is ideal for pokemon that live deep in the sea, a NestBall would be great for baby pokemon or inexperienced pokemon, A NetBall is ideal for water and bug types for their comfort needs, and so on and so forth. But the food, spa, pictures, and TV added to? totally rubbish. The rest of it is plausible.

    • @mattstat716
      @mattstat716 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trevor B. Maybe the pokeball has specific traits spawned into it, depending on the type for the pokemon. Example: The same pokeball could be used on 2 diffrent pokemon, but you would only be able to catch one. Lets say you catch a Litwick. The enviorment in the pokeball COULD possibly transform to suit Litwick's type. Lets say you decide to instead catch a Pikachu. The pokeball COULD simulate or transform into PIKACHU's enviorment. Perhaps that could be a piece of the theory? I like to think of it that way.

      I think they have a sort of natural-type habitat as opposed to a spa or bedroom with a soft, springy mattress and fuzzy blankets. It's probably more like what the Pokemon are actually used to being in.

    I believe that Normal Pokeballs are the Pokemon shrunk down fairly cramped, while great balls have more room and ultra balls have even more room and master balls have infinite room, the Pokeballs would also need to accommodate certain needs of Pokemon like water pokemon that need water to survive so it probably varies its inside environment based on the ball and the Pokemon, the luxury ball probably has like fancy crap in it

    the ideal theory is a sound theory, if you look closely at the inside of the pokeball we can see small mirrors/windows all along the walls from top to bottom, maybe it works like a tv projection, like virtual reality?
    Also think about certain balls such as the "Friend Ball" and the "Luxury Ball" which both state they increase a pokemon's starting friendliness whenh caught.
    what do you guys think of this theory i have?

      KDog31619 As far as I can tell, they remember what pokemon are in their pokeballs, because they place the pokeballs in a particular order. So lets say Charizard is #4 Pokemon on Ash's belt. Ash would reach for the 4th Pokeball each time he wants to summon Charizard because he knows it's there.

    Hey bud, I too am a long time pokemon fan. Here is a good question for you: Why does the pokeball remain closed when a pokemon is being returned with the red energy simply being absorbed into the white button but when they are released the ball actually opens up to let out the white energy?

    • @MandJTV

    • @minecraftdrawer8100

      ***** Maybe the white buttons open because its that small? But the red energy is covering it. And when it opens to release the pokemon its regrowing inside the pokeball. So when its regrowing inside the pokeball thats why it comes out for no reason because it grows to big to hold in the pokeball. Hope this helps with it :)
