OK, the RWD Turbo volvo guy here If I wanted any one of these. I'd go for a 2.3L hatch. That being said, the volvo shares the same SLANT 2.3L engine layout almost to a tee, Not confirmed first hand, BUT in theory you could swap over a REDBLOCK, into this motor, with an adapter plate on the trans, and very small amount of changes. What actually happened, volvo created a 16v head for their 4 cylinder engines, Some people swapped that over to their 2.3L fox bodies and were making 250 hp with that set up. And me wanting to buy a $3,500 4 cycinder, :( not anymore!!!
Super late, but sunroofs were an option for Fox bodies. Idk how common they were, but my dad got a 91' straight off the trailer at the dealer with a factory sunroof. Unfortunately it always leaked 😢
SVO is 5 lug also, but yeah. When he said "It's not a real GT because it's 4 lug" I had to search the comments to make sure people know GTs were 4 lugs also.
I wanted a fox so bad. I just couldn't bring myself to spend 10k+ on a decent one. Ended up buying a e36. I got a 328is coupe with some "racecar" mods for 5500. Thing is fucking solid with apex arc 8s already on it. I think an equivalent condition fox would have brought 9-10. I'm a ford guy, we have like 12 vehicles here and its the only one that isn't ford lol. I just couldn't find a mustang, even new edge, that I felt could beat a 3 series price to performance.

Not pulling wheelies running 9's but still lots of donuts and hard street driving and its served me well.
I hydroplaned my second foxbody. It was a 347 stroker with an aggressive clutch. didn't total it, but im sure it took a bit of work to git the nose to sit straight and look right.

That looks just like my car at 12:18. Just sold a very clean 5-speed, 86 gt with five lug axle and brake conversion and cobra R wheels and ford racing loweing springs for $13,500 in spring 2024. 59,000 miles owned it for 10 years and bought it for $7k and put 15,000 miles on it.

That's also not how ZZ Top got their name lol! If you watch their documentary they claim it was a spin off of BB King. Since he was an influence on them and they were doing a take on blues music it was like a coded reference. Since "B.B." was the second letter in the alphabet, they chose the last one. They said they though of a "King" always being the guy on top, and that's how they put the two together. It might have been a fake story, but that is what was in the documentary. Thanks!
Good entertainment but these guys dont know anything about Foxbody mustangs they got all the facts wrong. All of them are 4 lug, the motors changed to SFI in 86 from Carb in 85. Roller motor in 85.
I know this video is really old but the 86 is four eyed and efi and has forged flat top pistons so it’s actually the best 5.0 and looks better than than 87-93
No one asked but I'm here to be that guy: - Almost all foxes had 5 digit odometers, I've never seen one in person with a 6 but they did exist too - Fuel injection was introduced in 84 on the GT350 if they had an automatic. 86 Was the first year of SEFI, they were still CFI in 86 if you opted for the automatic. For anyone that likes the 4 eyeds, I'd recommend the 86 model year specifically because they were the first year with proper EFI, the 8.8" diff, dual exhaust, and the 10.5" clutch. They were essentially just an 87-93 GT with smaller front brakes, and a 10hp difference in power rating vs the 87 despite no noteworthy changes being made - Tons of smooth brained boomers carb swap the 86-93 cars instead of going standalone because USB cables are scary. If you see one that has been swapped, run because it's guaranteed to be a wiring nightmare - Unfortunately besides the summer special, saleen, etc. all convertibles came with a smooth trunk lid, or a luggage rack (starting in 86 to incorporate the 3rd brake light). I swapped mine for a cobra wing and it was well worth the investment. Also look into the early 85 'big wing' Saleens. - GT40 heads, and all the other shit the guy at 24:01 claimed it had doesn't matter if you're gonna run the stock intake. Intake and TB were some of the first things that need to go. 140whp for today. - Manual swaps are as easy as they come on foxbodys - They did come with a sun roof, but there were also aftermarkets. The red 4 eye is probably a factory sunroof if I had to guess, but the sunroof cars all have crusty roofs and floor pans by now so I dont pay attention Loved the video. There is not a single reasonable foxbody owner on marketplace, and there never will be. Have a nice!
Lil' Cargo always with the illest flows... 90% Mullet machine garbage 5% drag projects 3% nice car but Boomers who know what they have the other 2% maybe lol
Factory sunroofs were available. All years of the Foxes had them. My tech school shop car, 86 SVO, is a fully loaded car with sunroof. GT stangs looked like ass after the mid-80s facelift. Cannot stand the body kit on those cars, I prefer the simple and clean LX/SVO look where it only has a spoiler and a nice set of 5 spoke wheels
89 Mustang were better because the were not MAP the had become MAF by then. Lot of people done a wiring and PC swap on their 87 and 88s to 89 PC and wiring harness. The Map cars could not take too many mods due to PC not being able to adjust. 89 and so on could be flashed or learn for cams.

Loved the video. There is not a single reasonable foxbody owner on marketplace, and there never will be. Have a nice!
what headlights are on that car at 2:04 damn that things clean
Lil' Cargo always with the illest flows... 90% Mullet machine garbage 5% drag projects 3% nice car but Boomers who know what they have the other 2% maybe lol
Never new ZZ stood for Zig Zag. I wonder if Top pays tribute to Tops papers?
Anyone know where the lil cargo beat comes from?
Factory sunroofs were available. All years of the Foxes had them. My tech school shop car, 86 SVO, is a fully loaded car with sunroof. GT stangs looked like ass after the mid-80s facelift. Cannot stand the body kit on those cars, I prefer the simple and clean LX/SVO look where it only has a spoiler and a nice set of 5 spoke wheels
You can make around 500 on a 302 but that's when the blocks like to split in half. 400 is the realalistic top end
This and other myths brought to you by @deazy3409
Only the later SVO's were 5 lug.The rest were 4.
89 was the best year, Mass Air and no air bag.
Depends on if its coyote swapped or not. Coyote swapped foxbody is 40k dollar car if done right all day easy
The best fox body videos are from people who don’t know nothing about fox body’s lol
1:44 a classic a year later as a certified black man I say sign my boy
89 Mustang were better because the were not MAP the had become MAF by then. Lot of people done a wiring and PC swap on their 87 and 88s to 89 PC and wiring harness. The Map cars could not take too many mods due to PC not being able to adjust. 89 and so on could be flashed or learn for cams.
Lil cargo. Great name lol 😂
lil cargo ate!

1:41 Rockford speedway?
Heads cam intake and power adder gets you 4-500 hp to the tires on a 5.0. It’s really not that hard
Plus a turbo kit instead of supercharger sheeesh FTW
What's a stock block good to? I was always told the foxbody 302 is relatively fragile
@@CollectorCarFeed they are tho 500 is pushing it lol but a good combo with the right things and if you gut it out u can still smoke lots of new cars today
@@CollectorCarFeed 500 is said to be about the most you want on a stock block for safety. You can make more with a turbo if you keep the revs down, it’s the revs that splits them
