- Today we're looking for the fifth generation Honda Prelude on Facebook Marketplace. Every 5g 'Lude (in North America) is powered by the same VTEC YO H22A engine making 198 horsepower. The good ones are mated to a five speed manual transmission, and there's one trim of note: the SH (Sport Handling) which includes some electric wizardry the internet says sucks, so uh, as long as it has a stick it's cash I guess.

I 100% agree!! Sometimes I think they might be a little too harsh on some cars that have decent prices but in general and more times than not they say what we all think! If more channels and people were more real and transparent like them a lot of these stupid high prices for overvalued and underwhelming and overrated cars would (at least in my mind but probably not in reality) slowly fade away...
I am addicted to these videos, would be funny to see a pick-up truck episode. I don't give a damn about trucks, but pick-up truck ads are some of the best you can find hands down

the 5th gen preludes anti theft is crazy you cant get a key made for it without having a copy. the immoblizer the ecu and the transponder key all have to match up for it to work.

These cars started production 98 and ended in 2001 so that guy thinking he might’ve had an 02 just shows his overall lack of knowledge on the car I own a black 01 base model auto (yeah I know but it was cheap I can drive manual but couldn’t afford manual prices even for a base model fuck this car market)

To be fair that 1997 "SHOW CAR" Prelude for $20K was probably the shit back when I was in the Marine Corps from 2001-2005 because it looks like (according to the pictures on the cell phone) that it was badass back then with a lot of custom fab work and all and I remember seeing many Hondas and Lancers (not Evos), and Sentras, etc. looking like this and worse like a cheap knockoff Hot Import nights or NOPI Nationals car. Was it good and quality work? That I cant answer but to ask $20K for it now and it is automatic as well is completely brain dead at its finest. Some people don't understand the KISS theory (Keep It Simple Stupid!) in regards to mods, etc. At best that car would bring in $1-$2K on a good day nowadays because lets face it, we don't mod our cars like that anymore and haven't for almost 20 plus years. And I am a Honda guy who loves Preludes so this hurts... lol. Oh well I guess. It will just end up being a heavy, ugly paperweight or better yet lawn art because no one in their right mind would buy it.

Here is some useless honda lore...that gen prelude if you lose the keys u have buy new immobilizer unit and only honda dealer can program new keys to the new unit. Losing your keys on a prelude is a $600 mistake
