I found it really saddening that the elysian realm was deleted, I kinda wished they kept them around but that would probably undermine the message of their story, to leave the past behind and wake up for the future to come, they burned themselves away to allow mei to see the future and take it, to see the good and the bad, and to accept it with her entire being. The story they tell is sad, hell they die two times- literally these guys just cant get a break, they sacrificed their normalcy for the salvation of humanity, and sacrificed their lives (two times) to save humanity, they will never die, she will always be with us

A funny story here : During my playthough chapter 31 with me and my cousin, we were at the Kosma becoming Ultra Kosma to fight off Herrscher of Corruption and then it rains outside. As we know, Rain was suppose to be feel calm but in story/poem, it isnt always calm. So then, us witnessing Evil Ellie just giving her bow the infinte enchatment from minecraft, she Za Hando Griseo and then that was the end of Part 1. My cousin actually cry, while me, a honkai player, just watch him slowy suffering as his 2 favorite charater just die the most beatiful way possible.
I don’t play Honkai but the Elysian Realm arc has been one of my favorite stories of any game I’ve ever known. I know these were all just sims and that the real Elysia will never know of the Herrscher of Humans she made, but at least there was an Elysia who knew. The 13 Flame Chasers are so precious.
ER arc was truly a masterful story writing from the devs. The way that each FC completely trusted in their allies that they will deliver despite not communicating plans with each other. They’re also insightful in coming up with ways to defeat the enemy, again, without communicating plans with each other. They’re all heroes. The willingness to sacrifice themselves quickly and without hesitation is admirable. They shall be remembered and missed. My heart sank after this.
To bad when the Flamechasers died so did the story. Hopefully during APHO arc starts again the story gets better. (Also I like Kevin’s ending I just hate the caption verse being in the main story)
@@uwu-chan Yeah. I wish we had more screen time because I wanted to each FC’s AHR transformation. I’m happy we got to see Kevin’s but I want the rest of them, especially the ones who didn’t show any non-human part at all like Eden and Su. I want to see them in beast forms.
I was indifferent to the 13 when I started this chapter, then they started to grow on me and Pardo managed to become my favorite flame chaser. You know how that turned out
HoD,Nagazora,Fu Hua Arcs and Final lesson had me emotional but the ending of this arc really had me in tears, I loved the flamechasers and seeing them having to go through all that was pain ;-;
Of all the deaths and goodbyes in ER the one that personally hurt me the most was Klein's corruption scene. Pardo's came a bit out of nowhere and frankly was set as a rage moment and Griseo was awful too, but Klein...that was something else. There was so much unrelenting sadness in that scene. I haven't wept this much for a pretty much tertiary side character since Benares. Like, damn... By complete unrelated coincidence my favorite ELFs are Bella and Klein lol. Totally has nothing to do with anything. xD

Griseo's voluntary sacrifice was the hardest to hit me cause I never thought she would go out of her way to do it.
i cried here also. the only other time i cried was during himeko funeral but this hit hard.
