- Lace covers do a great job of covering the laces. They also do a great job of restricting access to the laces. This typically makes tying your football boots a little trickier, but what you wanted to replace the laces? Well in the case of the Nike Phantom Venom Elite, Pro and Academy models, changing the laces has never been so difficult! That's not an exaggeration either! In today's video I take on the challenge of changing the laces on the Phantom Venom, giving you some very useful advice on how to do it, if you ever wanted to attempt this yourself!

Hey Jack, would you ever make a video describing why different stud patterns and sole plates (ag vs. tf vs. sg vs. fg etc) how they work on each surface and why they're better suited for others? I had a lot of kids on my high school team buy sg boots for hard ground and I never understood why it wouldn't provide the same if not better traction

Attempt 1 would’ve worked if you matched the lace ends tip to tip and used a duct tape to connect them. Did this with cabling as an installer but used electrical tape and softer push pulls

Could try to use a bit of heat shrink tubing to attach the new lace to the old then pull it all through and simply cut it off after?

Does this boot come with ACC? If so, does the ACC have ACC?
Instead of making a knot with the two laces you should put the aglets tip to tip and put a piece of tape around them so it more or less keeps the same size so then you can just pull it through and it will be in place
@Josh U should give away some spare boots, I noticed we have the same shoe size
Go to a nike store and when checking the shoe
Remove the lace
Then see how do they relace it

Hey Josh, was that an SR4U Branded straw? If so, does it have ACC? Meaning the straw won't slip around in your glass and help you drink beverages faster.
One word, Jeff: tweezers
Trust me, that would not help. I thought about that while I was doing this, but you definitely run the risk of cutting the Flywire cables and in general tearing up the inside of the boots. Tweezers are pretty sharp. It seems like it would be just a finesse thing, but because of how little space there at the bottom lacing positions, you have to use quite a bit of force to get the aglets all the way through.
This is so funny I'm going to try to get a pair of Phantom Venoms so I can try to lace them up again

When I worked at the sports store we saw this all the time. We used little science class forceps to grab the aglet with one hand and another to hold the flywires open.

They're pretty similar in regards to overall width. The Venoms are maybe a little bit tighter overall.
