I agree with opinion no.1. Because consumers can think good or bad about products. Even it's really bad, as a business we have to focus on sell the product, uplift the sales, do innovative marketing. When people talking more and more about a product or service it means that particular product is already popular one. Only the matter is way of marketing and how customer's feel the product behaviours. If it's a negative pattern there should be a positive marketing point at somewhere. Marketers have find the potentials always. Think, Casino is an addictive business. But the owners are multi billionaires and the audience also is high end and we'll knowledge worthy people. I think the secret behind is they are selling a lifestyle, not just gaming or bidding. What ever the product model you sell, find the best potential segment.

My answer is Number 1. Because it's a genius idea to sell emotions. I have a personal experience with drinking soft drinks. I was a soft drink addict and got diebitics in return. 🤤. But it's not their fault. It's my bad habit. Because i already knew coke was not good for health but ended up drinking anyway..
P.s Now i'm healthy. Not interested in Soft drinks anymore.. reason is i don't like the carbonated taste now.
So they did a pretty good job right ?. It was the same coke taste before i got diebitics and after i recover/control. Back then It was the emotions that made me taste something special. Now after recover coke is just a carbonated sugar drink for me. Nothing special..
