Very good tutorial! I am trying it myself. The thing I would like to have seen is a close-up of the pants pattern tissue as she drew and cut the alterations, exactly where the new calf-line was drawn, and a close-up of the new seam lines placement to the new line.

When cutting the pattern you don't leave inlays ?
Why did you add 2 ins on the trousers at the bottom of pattern if you were going to narrow it ?Thanks so much Marthese

I love your guide but i need your advice, the pattern i have for this exact one states some seams at 2cm where youre using 1.5 in some areas and it also shows some at 2cm, does it matter if i ignore the 2cm and just use 1.5 all over the main body

I've been looking for a maxi dress pattern with this top, or rather a long midi with this top, but halter patterns are really hard because many are so bulky! Any tips for how to take this approach on top with a long midi in rayon or silk?

Hi Mimi, I'm a beginner and just purchased a machine (Brother CS6000i) can you recommend a sewing kit or supplies that I can purchase. Types of thread and brand because in all of the reviews for this type of machine, everyone states not to use cheap thread but they also don't mention which threads work best ( brand?, type? Silk, polyester, etc)
+tayta25 when I bought a new sewing machine the salesman told me to never to use any thread other than Guttermann. It costs more but it saves the machine from tension problems .Cheap thread ruined my past machines

I am a beginning sewer so I watch a lot of videos to help but I just can't watch these videos. They are great patterns and I like that simplicity added videos for her collection, which is also great. But being a beginning sewer I get super duper lost anytime I watch these videos. When she sees its mainly sew here to here and then sew here to here. I have no clue what she is sewing or where or why. Maybe have the package next to her so as she picks up a pice to sew she can point out this is what we r sewing next and point on the picture exactly where it is. I would love to sew all her designs but just won't do it while I watch these videos. When she put one pant leg inside the other and said sew this notch to this notch I was like ok I gotta turn it off. I still don't know what the hell she did or where or why. Ugh. But nonetheless the patterns are awesome and so is she.
