I’ve been way more intentional lately. I’ve realized that I want to look like a drug lord from Miami at all times. Big shades, Silk tops/scarves and tailored wide leg pants with a bomb shoe, belt & bag to set it off 😭. I need to look like I have an operation movin keys for me while I lounge on my yacht that’s parked on my backyard dock. That’s my vibe 🤣😂🤣

I needed this. I suffer from depression as well and I tend to overspend when I'm spiraling. I don't want to tell you how much money over spent in the past 2 weeks just off of emails. I went from very intentional spending to loosing my damn mind. My credit card is smoking right now. I'm gonna put all of your tips into practice RIGHT NOW!!!
Same… I’m on meds for the last year. It helped the depression BUT when we have a big unnecessary shopping spree then it’s actually a form of bipolar. I’m going to start psycho therapy for it
I love your point about shopping when we feel the need to be creative. I recently watched a video on solo date ideas. When I feel the desire to shop, I need to read my list of ideas, pick out a fabulous outfit that I ALREADY OWN and plan a date! 💞

I'm a lover of all things beautiful and yes, I am a shopping addict. What has helped me in recent years is realizing I don't have to OWN something to appreciate it's beauty. I can take a picture of it and look at it at later points in the future. Unless a piece is vital and urgent to my very existence, I can gaze at it on my phone. OWNING every beautiful thing one comes across and adores/appreciates is not mandatory.
I am being more intentional lately. I just save in my cart for two months before I make any purchase. I no longer buy duplicates because I end up only wearing the colour I actually love and the other pieces end up being an untouched collection.🤣🤣
So true about the emails! I’ve clicked on tons of them and purchased eventually. And you don’t purchase right away, the merchants keep sending you emails about the same items. Oh Lord, I love a deep discount! “Shop with Intention.” Love it! 😂 😊

I’m here for the SAT prep words and a slay! Laughing out loud! I’m just rebuilding my personal style. I’ve decluttered my closet several times. It didn’t seem as drastic that way. This includes shoes and jewelry. So I think im going to start with a capsule wardrobe and build from there! This vid is right on time! Thanks sis! You look great and glowy!

I am building a capsule wardrobe so I have replaced some things, but thank you for the reminder about the jewelry because I have not touched that and I really need to. During this process I can tell my style has change so much I got rid of a lot of things that I thought were my style but I have realized it’s not. Yes sis! You are so right. I had to pull back many times because my late husband would say "don't you have that already" and I would be like, damn maybe.😂 It was rough. I moved back in February, and gave away at least twenty bags of stuff away and I'm still at it.

MA’AM you got me together once again! And gathered allllll my edges! In the past 10 days or so, I’ve spent about $400 triggered by emails I’ve been sent from stores having “sales”…. You encouraged me to unsubscribe!!!!!! And I DID IT! First time ever. I feel so free. I feel unbothered and like I’m not being influenced to give up my coins all day. I was shopping earlier today and found myself in the handbag section looking at black purses. I thought of you and what you said about shopping intentionally and said to myself “you already have a black handbag almost exactly like what you are looking at” and walked away. Then I come home and watch this video which reinforced what you said. I am trying to be intentional when I shop. I am also unsubscribing from those emails…again LOL! Thank you so much for making such great content to help us and doing it while always looking fly!

Yeass shop my closet! I have clothes with tags on them, shoes that have never touched the ground, various accessories and that's after I decluttered. SMH

So true…….I was in Nordstrom rack and saw a lovely pair of pants from Alice and Olivia but they did not have my size. For the entire day I was on the internet looking for the item and then it hit me…….why am I looking for a pair of pants that never existed before I saw it in the store. Got away that time, but there have been times I bought items without intention

LIT-ER-AL-EE, as I am watching this, I am listing the colors and prints in my wardrobe along the left column and have additional columns across the top of the page identified as pants, shirts, skirts, outerwear and shoes. I am planning my next season's capsule with the goal of no more than 50 items to wear for the next three months (my take on 333...I had to be a realistic...333 became 345, then I remembered, it's bout to be cold and I said I was going to accesorize...so...50). Loved the tips!

I recently purchased my first pair of Angela Scott shoes. I had them on my wishlist for months and I created a sinking fund for them and was waiting for a sale. The shoes were regularly $650 and got them for $450.
I was intentional about my purchase and I didn’t move hastily.
My Goodness.... I so needed this reminder! The comment about the black handbags and loafers touched my soul lol! My mom used to tell me that for years but I used to ignore her, apparently thinking I knew best lol! And I have not been shopping much because I definitely want to make sure I'm shopping with serious intentions! 🛍

We need to be reminded to keep us balanced - thank you 🙏 Now I love to shop but I’m not ignorant to the marketing tactics. However, I struggle with #3. I have discriminating taste so when I do find a piece that suits me, I grab all the colors. 🤣
Great video. One thing I’ve noticed to piggyback off the sale tip is often times the brand will increase the original price and the “sale price” is significantly cheaper except it’s actually the full price you’re still paying. So now when I get sale emails, I do some research to see what the full price is normally. I’ve become much more savvy when shopping and it’s partly thanks to you and these kinds of videos. Keep it up!
But let’s be clear, you told us about this pixie shirt months ago and i dam sure snagged it and it’s been one of my favorite bad bitch items in my closet!

Thank you for another great segment! I am guilty of shopping overload! I am a mall rat. Love malls! But I did something new for me just over the weekend - I went through a mall & shopped with intention. I was looking for a specific item & didn't find it. So, instead of buying up a bunch of things I didn't need, I didn't buy anything (but some food at the food court). I need to declutter. I need to shop my closets. I need to figure out my fashion style. It keeps changing.
I feel you sis, on your style keeps changing! What I have discovered is that I really do like a lot of different styles BUT I am also aware of what actually looks flattering on me! Sometimes, I like the concept of an item but it's not practical & I'm probably not going to wear it but it's cute though😄 Also, maintaining a capsule wardrobe helps with everyday styling & then keeping a list of thing's I am looking for with me at all times, that way I shop with intention & not spending money that could go towards something I really like or need. It’s also why I feel like my closet is lacking when I keep addressing the same need (duplication) and then don’t have pieces needed to satisfy other wardrobe requirements. THAT.WAS.A.WORD

This was very helpful!!!! I’ve been saying that I want my wardrobe to have a color scheme so most of the pieces can be mixed and matched into different outfits. And then I ended up just buying a bunch of athletic sets from old navy for summer. Lol But this fall we gone be intentional! We building from scratch and we gone make it count!
