Oh I remember the Mango airplane. I fly from Capetown to Petoria in august. And was surprised about how friendly the staff was aboard. I have flight whit Ryanair here in Europe before and was scared about Mango should be like Ryanair. But thumbs up to mango. I will go back to south Africa soon.
A little tip: always sit on the right side of the plane on approach to Cape Town to get an even better view of Table Mountain (they generally land from the north)
HEY NOEL, MANY THANKS FOR "HILIGHTING MANGO AIRWAYS PREVIEW [INC.THIS NATIVELY FRESH JERKY]," AND TO Y'ALL, 'MANGO FLIGHT PARTICIPANTS, WELCOME TO SOUTH AFRICA'!! 🥃🥓🥓🍧
Hi from Durban! Stumbled on your channel this week. I'm visiting family in Durban and work in Kazakhstan so it was really interesting seeing your South African and Kazakhstan videos. It was especially cool seeing your review of scat airline, I use them sometimes to get to Petropavl in the North. There is a tiny airport there, more like just a runway, with two flights a week to Astana. I usually have to take a six to 11 hour train so it's nice to sometimes have the option to fly. Glad you didn't take Bek air while you were there though!
Cypher aww there there... At least Whackhead Simpson from big concerts tried to organize a concert for Billy Rae Cyrus there. So you're clearly not forgotten.
Great Video! Mango seems like a pretty good option when travelling around South Africa. If you’re thinking about future videos, it would be really interesting to see more round the world style things, this could for example be something like around the world but only on narrow bodies which can be done with flights like Transavia’s AMS-DXB, FlyDubai’s DXB-BKK and UNITED’s Island Hopper. Keep up the brilliant videos and happy new year!
I flew mango air from Johannesburg to cape town! It was fun. We're flying with emirates to cape town in sept, haven't booked our internal flights to plettenberg bay yet
This is a good example of a fun channel a person can stumble into while browsing TH-cam. The screaming baby in business class video was captivating, and posed a legitimate question as well.
Thanks for another great flight Noel and yes the South African landscape from above reminds me very much of Australia in parts (which much of it burnt to the ground at the moment ) Seemed like a reasonable flight with Mango (strange name ) Well done as always mate !! And great views !!
Great video as always Noel. As a SA resident who has to travel to Cape Town from Johannesburg quite often, I always choose Safair over the other carriers. Firstly they are the most on time airline in SA - my colleagues and I have a running joke where upon arrival at airports, we check which planes are delayed / cancelled and Mango is almost always the only airline that consistently has delays or cancellations. Secondly, I find that Safair experience from booking, check-in and boarding to be step above the competition.
Back in the 70s and early 80s we had the flying colors of Braniff that painted their planes in all colors including bright orange. There were no low cost or no frills airlines back then except for Southwest which served free drinks including alcohol on all flights. It was pretty much just an all Texas airline back then.
Durban King Shaka Airport mostly offer domestic flights, the only major carriers that fly to other continents other than Africa from Durban are Qatar, Emirates, British Airways and Turkish Airlines (which I flew 2 weeks ago),all fly to their respective hubs.
Good to see a South African flight report. With such a favourable exchange rate, it's no wonder you found the on-board meals cheap! For locals, the cost of on-board meals is quite high so better to purchase before the flight. Unfortunately Mango has a terrible on-time record so if using this airline, be prepared for possible delays, particularly if heading towards a connecting flight.
Flew Mango last July during my holiday in SA, on the same route, but the inbound flight(CPT-DUR). Overall I was really disappointed with Mango, the crew was anything but nice, I really did not get a nice welcome feeling and that not-getting-a- welcome-feeling already started during check-in. Plane was dirty and we didn’t get a drink/snack service for no reason. But happy to see your flight was good and enjoyable, now I got to see the service and hospitality I could have got for the price we paid😅
We don't call it plains in South Africa. You flew over the Drakensberge, Karoo and the Boland. Only parts of the Karoo over which you flew is actually flat, the rest has a lot of hills and mountains.
Yeah… the airline has most likely been liquidated and all accents are most likely to be sold to other South African airlines that operate that operate the 737-800.
I know you likely won't see this, but I think it would be a good idea if you created a second channel with the full takeoffs and landings from each flight!
Usually standing takeoff but a rolling one can be fun. On the Motor Sich Yak 40 video I did they throttled up on the taxiway and were accelerating around the turn with the right wing almost touching the ground - that was a fun one!
was it only me but when Noel was in the airport and the plane was taxing it looked a bit too fast for taxing and it would of been to fast for my liking aha
You should fly air Canada from YYZ to MUC. Im flying it later this year, alone and im kind of scared. I’d love to have a review of it before I actually go. It would be my first time flying alone internationally.
Love your South African video series! As I'm from Durban it's good to see someone enjoying their time here 🇿🇦
I was born in Durban too!!! 🇿🇦🇿🇦

I am really disappointed that you didn't have Mangos onboard...
Me Too...
@Praise The Sun Well, the inflight entertainment magazine says "Mango Juice" so that should mean that Mango juice should be available..
Johnston Steiner we have mango trees in Jamaica, and we don’t have desserts...
@@windoak I see. Did not know that.
LOL

Love the livery and the scenery out of the window was beautiful!
Nice video! I was expecting the interior to be as bright Orange as the livery. lol

Great ViD. Thank you for taking an interest in South Africa.
The pilot has a amazing voice
That’s a pre-recorded announcement. Not the pilot.
Your videos are so simple but I can’t get enough of them...
Who's from south Africa and watching this in lockdown
Plzzzz fly safair
Once again you surprise me with excellent videos from my country ! Thanks.
Wow! They have a Wimpy Burger Bar at Durban
I love this plane's color, It's my favorite. I wanna fly on one!
Thank god you are alive my friend. God bless you my friend
Reminds me of Southwest.. when it started they were super friendly and cheapest tickets.

True.

Greetings from Durban 🇿🇦
They never say anything good about SA its nice to get some good comments every now and then.....
I miss Mango Airlines 😭😭💔 was the most beautiful Plane
Biltong and some Mango juice, i could go for both right about now. Great video Noel!
Tip dont buy the biltong on the aircraft, go to a butchery. You will get a 1/4 kg for that price.

I flew BA 787 direct to heathrow from Durban last week. Aircraft was dirty but the flight was amazing!! Day flight over Africa is a must!!
Cool livery! Surprised BA flies 737s there!
Love this !! They put most other supposedly full service airlines to shame !!
You should try the George or pleat airport.
Wow, that airport looks so much like Manchester UK.
@Satan Manchester is a nice airport
@FloOb lolol Man im from Durban Lol that comment hahaha
Nothing like Manchester and way smaller but thanks anyway. 🇿🇦
Knowing that currently i cant fly your videos make me feel so much betterv

Oh, look. Fanta
EDIT:
Oh my god there's actually a Fanta ad! I just thought the plane looked like a can of orange soda
It’s a battle between Mango and Kulula😂😂
Comfort Ubisi ya
And FlySafair
Yibanathi Sam no not really
Both Mango and Kalula are spot on for service, cabin crew and price
Yea i mean you can get CPT - JHB flights for R800, what a bargain.
I flew with mango too in 2015. I really enjoyed it. Its a good budget airline
I was waiting for a review of Mango Airlines
You were right the plan is very colorful
It's Adam Air reborn (the livery that is)
Wimpy at 1.50, just looked it up. There's 7 times more branches in South Africa than the country they started in (UK). Rare over here now.
Paul Queripel
look up Woolworths as well.
They sell M&S stuff.
@@Man-go-Everywhere I've been in one out there. Think there's a Woolworths in Australia that's a different store as well.
Mango is probably one of the most successful domestic airlines from africa
My home airport! Being an exiled Durbanite, it's great to see you reviewing SA low cost carriers. Enjoy that warm KZN sunshine.
Great video! Even got Acro seats onboard the aircraft, from the UK!
Wow they have a Wimpy! I use to go to a Wimpy in Henley on Thames until it was closed.
Wimpy UK is South African owned.
We don't call it plains in South Africa. You flew over the Drakensberge, Karoo and the Boland. Only parts of the Karoo over which you flew is actually flat, the rest has a lot of hills and mountains.
I was going to fly with Mango from Durban to Cape Town.
New subbie here from SA and I am so sad"Rach" wasn't on this trip,I am so mad about How cute y'all are
1st one of the year, awesome obviously.
They get better each year and each week!
Wanna know something cool?... I was born in Durban South Africa!! I'm really loving the south African trip reports!!
Edit: Now I'm in Australia
@Satan And if you don't think it's cool than just don't comment in the first place ok? 🙂
@Squirrel get a life broe. You are all over the place commenting negative shit.SA is giving you heart burns.you name suits you.
I’ve been on Mango Airlines before and it was okay
Eh… it’s like the spirit airlines of Africa.
Thank You for the review
Good video 👍 like the 🛩 info
The livery reminds me of the short-lived Qantas offshoot Australian, which had orange A330’s with indigenous artwork.
Wayne Jeffrey Australian only had a small fleet of B767-300s and no A330s
James Smith you are correct. They weren’t around long enough to for me to remember correctly!!!
Wayne Jeffrey such a shame too as their colours looked great!
And most incredible.... it's flying!!
My favourite South African airline is Kulula please Make a kulula video
I want to fly Kulula one day.
Theres a Wimpy Burger inside their terminal. I remember them being all over the UK back in the day.
And as I said on your insta - love the shiny engines :)
Anyone else lost concentration to what Noel said at the gate due to the car advert behind him?
As always Noel ur the best at going to places
Good video
The pain with mango is that they will charge you for excess luggage even if you are 10 grams overweight.
Like the orange livery, also 9th!
Yeah… the airline has most likely been liquidated and all accents are most likely to be sold to other South African airlines that operate that operate the 737-800.
is he going from cape town to durban
Another great video
Rolling takeoff nice
I know you likely won't see this, but I think it would be a good idea if you created a second channel with the full takeoffs and landings from each flight!
Hey Nathaniel, I upload the full takeoff and landings onto the Facebook page 👍
Hi Noel...I just missed you. I had a terrible experience in Durbs. Flame ignited on plane to Joburg. Terrible service from Kulula.
I was just here last week memories😭😭
I live in durban❤❤❤❤❤
Noel Do you prefer a standing start or the rolling take off as this one was? Thank you.
Usually standing takeoff but a rolling one can be fun. On the Motor Sich Yak 40 video I did they throttled up on the taxiway and were accelerating around the turn with the right wing almost touching the ground - that was a fun one!
love the vids
For such an orange livery there’s little orange inside. Probably for the best! 😂
Maybe Ryan air could paint all their aircraft bright yellow so you eyes are burnt before you get inside.
it's a shame that it's not flying now
Hate to pick you up on a technicality, but I don't think there was anywhere in the UK that was below freezing on 4th January 2020. Just sayin'.
Kulula is also very colourful
Plz come to port elizabeth air port and review a plane
Was it just me or did the 737 was far to quick when it was taxing to the stand?
was it only me but when Noel was in the airport and the plane was taxing it looked a bit too fast for taxing and it would of been to fast for my liking aha
William Benson It looked a bit fast but not alarmingly so. And it’s taxiing. Taxing means onerous or grueling. 😊
Up to 25 kts
What kind of card?
I always use Mango 🥭 because they are very reliable
Security let you straight through 👀🤔
Great review as ever! We would never get to see these exotic airlines if you didn't travel on them!
Thumbs up for Wimpy!
Nice
Next time in South Africa try Kulula and Flysafair, our Low Cost airlines are actually far better than full services carriers abroad.
Hi Noel. What seat number were you sat at.....
That View at 8:45 Wow! So majestic
£89 for 795 miles journey that's reasonable price onboard colourful Mango 👍
You should fly air Canada from YYZ to MUC. Im flying it later this year, alone and im kind of scared. I’d love to have a review of it before I actually go. It would be my first time flying alone internationally.
Rumour has it the Easyjet 200th airbus livery aka the carrot has been beaten for being orange by mango
Will they come back
That engine is really shiny
