Yes, that's understandable, but it doesn't answer the question about switching modes from infrared to convector and back. Apparently this heater works in some kind of hybrid mode all the time. I can't find any other explanation.

I don't understand how to switch heating modes. Let's say I only want infrared heating. How do I turn it on?

Press the button in the side, which should be blue when in standby. It’ll turn green. That means it’s on, and the adjust the temperature.
