Oh! Never thought we'd get a sequel to this story, let a alone a happy ending, but I'm not complaining! After all, who doesn't like a story with a happy ending? Btw..Did anyone else notice that Barry looks similar to Bear from Ikea Daybreak video? I mean it could just be them sharing a model but the fact that they never found out what happened to him does might make this more than just a simple coincidence..
Or how about when he exists the Ikea he is NOT IN THE SAME UNIVERSE where he was married. Maybe he sees her again and she has no idea who he is and in this other universe she never even met him and just thinks that he is a nut job?

I love this SCP. The "feel" of empty furniture stores...its hypnotizing and sometimes even psychedelic. But its only working without the 1000 people around.

Couldn't the Foundation use The Infinite Ikea to help learn about When Day Breaks? The fact that the Ikea connects multiple worlds and the creatures can get inside; it should be possible for the foundation to find one of them and study it

SCP 3008 stories are always extra fun for me since i work in that big blue box. Especially since I'm part of the closing crew that tries to get customers out of the store. Only thing that could make these better is updating the uniforms to the even brighter striped yellow shirts with a big blue "Hej!" On the back that we recently had to start wearing. Keep up the awesome work!
I wonder why you never hear about the actual (human) staff being taken even though theyd be an opportune target seeing as theyre there so often, and why it's always only one person at a time escaping. Maybe that's part of the infinite ikea? Like if a whole group escaped at once would the time be correct for only one of them or randomized? Or maybe they'd all be transported to the correct time. Anyhow this is by far one of the most fun scps and the infinite ikea will always be one of my favorites!
Brave of you to believe they have humans working there. Jokes aside, the maze space attaches to every Ikea in all dimensions. The human staff are too knowledgeable to ensnare. And as staff would be ignored in uniform likely.
Intellectual property rights will likely prevent that. Unless the IKEA group oversaw it they can stop every show and game that utilized their branding, like the guy who created the original design for SCP 173 (the living statue). He wasn't happy about the use of its image and so threatened the wiki with legal action a couple years back.
@@MysteriousMiddleEast You can easily make this game with almost the same shop layout that Ikea have, with different colors, names, and without the meatballs. It can be actually burgers or fish and chips or something other type of food. And the game name should be different than the SCP 3008 and a base story can also be different a little bit and the hostiles can be different also then the original story one. Not by much but It can be done without breaking any property rights and things like that. Just sligthly different story, slightly different colors and stuff like the original one.

What a journey this story was! Insanely well written for SCP fan fic, ten times better than most things I've watched on TV and you even connected the minecraft parody bits to the real story in a way I never saw before when studying SCP-3008 Amazing! But...The dead bodies of the Staff attract more of them...We've heard about it before in their lore, so why would they subject themselves to harsher treatment?
I mean they are flesh wearing cultists who obey a single tyrant, so I would bet they don't realize the bodies attract more staff, or they just don't care...
If I was in the infinite Ikea, I would find a settlement, and convince them to build a new town suspended from the ceiling if their old settlement. With elevators to bring people and supplies too and from the surface, this would protect against the staff, as the staff are not smart enough to build up.
And how are you going to do that exactly? It’s not like you have construction cables in there. All you have that’s similar to that is maybe rope,string, or thread. Unfortunately that simply won’t do. 😕
honestly the SCP can just put a speaker, a video screen, a siren light and an exist sign inside the Infinity IKEA door that just open, and power it from outside the IKEA with cable. So the survivors can know where the exit door is.

I think the reason he was able to leave ikea there at the end is because he was alone and he could exit to his own world. I think if you’re with anyone that doesn’t live in your own world you can’t find an exit together.

If you were actually living in Minecraft, there would be zombies, skeletons, creepers, endermen...you'd have to make sure there isn't a zombie too close by, keep far away from creepers, watch very, VERY sharply for skeletons, as, unlike playing the game, one shot will kill you, be very careful not to look Endermen in the eye, sleep just enough to keep the phantoms away, avoid Illagers entirely unless you REALLY need a heros discount, be careful not to even accidentally slightly hurt a villager, make sure to have walls and a roof to prevent the spiders from getting in, be on the lookout for slimes, you aren't safe during the day, either, as you could still run into creepers, endermen, and slimes, as well as accidentally bumping a villager, and then husks are still there, you have to be EXTREMELY careful in the water between drowneds and guardians, watch your back in snowy areas in case a stray is lurking about, be careful not to harm any wolves you might come across, watch out for ravines and lava, eventually head to the nether, where you have to watch out for ghasts, wither skeletons, blazes, and magma cubes, be careful not to harm zombie pigmen OR piglins, don't get on the piglins badside, which you will randomly end up on for no reason whatsoever, create and destroy a wither, which could kill you immediately, be careful should you choose to explore caves to not run into the warden, eventually reach the end and destroy the end crystals and eventually the dragon without looking at any of the endermens eyes AND dodging the dragons attacks, and then return and go through surviving zombies, creepers, skeletons, slimes, phantoms, iron golems, wolves, drowneds, guardians, strays, spiders, and husks for the rest of your life.

The piglins are even more primitive but if you wear something gold like a golden crown then they'll be willing to barter with you, but don't mine any gold near them. And also just tame a bunch of cats to deal with the phantoms and creepers

SCP-3008 questions I have: What if you start a fire? How far down into the concrete floor can you dig? (potential building material immune to staff damage) Are there any bathrooms? If there are bathrooms or drinking fountains or sinks what if you flooded them? Can plants grow in there?
Now that I think about it, imagine in like a couple decades in the SCP Universe when you go into SCP 3008 instead of an empty Ikea filled with monsters ready to kill you, you see a completely refurbished city filled with the people that had came in. I mean, Humans adapt well.. after all.
God this sounds too much like the other one hundred days videos(specifically by that one guy that we all know if we watch 100 days). Its truly uncanny.

The perfect prison. Something that can contain me for months or years, without the worry that I might die. I might go insane after a bit, or I might become the manager. Who knows what would happen if I ever went in. One thing's for sure, nothing there is powerful enough to even hurt me.
Good grief, seeing the end of the prequel through another person's eyes...then continuing the story from there. This is how more sequels should be. Instead of random amounts of time between tales, they should be of new perspectives, even if some of the events overlap.
You'll probably just see more of the IKEA when you break through it, or it's just an infinitely thick wall taht you can't break through, maybe you could turn it into a little base

Despite my being physically disabled, I think that my masters in IT and my various computer certifications (including point of sale machines) could come into some major use here. I could crack into the registers and maybe find some sort of network to edit. Perhaps the exits are stored someplace on the computer system? Perhaps the day/night was stored there as well? You'd be shocked how much of that was run by computers.
I love the infinite Ikea. I wish there could be other infinite stores with different circumstances like infinite Target or infinite Walmart or infinite Costco. Infinite Ikea is so damned interesting that you could do an entire genre of stories just for it without even needing it to be part of SCP.

I don't know if scp explained made that story but there are many references to their "how would you survive the IKEA video" like humans wearing staff hides or the dictator life style not working there.

Now that I think about it, imagine in like a couple decades in the SCP Universe when you go into SCP 3008 instead of an empty Ikea filled with monsters ready to kill you, you see a completely refurbished city filled with the people that had came in.

Good grief, seeing the end of the prequel through another person's eyes...then continuing the story from there.
This is how more sequels should be. Instead of random amounts of time between tales, they should be of new perspectives, even if some of the events overlap.
This should be a movie or a series if different people trapped in ikea. Some don’t make it but some do!

Despite my being physically disabled, I think that my masters in IT and my various computer certifications (including point of sale machines) could come into some major use here.
I could crack into the registers and maybe find some sort of network to edit.
Perhaps the exits are stored someplace on the computer system? Perhaps the day/night was stored there as well? You'd be shocked how much of that was run by computers.
This is a hardcore version of going to ikea as a kid and playing hide and seek with your siblings while your mum is shopping.

I love the infinite Ikea. I wish there could be other infinite stores with different circumstances like infinite Target or infinite Walmart or infinite Costco. Infinite Ikea is so damned interesting that you could do an entire genre of stories just for it without even needing it to be part of SCP.
