  • In this video, I talk about contactors, and why we use them in Industry today. A short comparison between control relays and contactors is given at the beginning of the video. This video is intended for newcomers to the electrical field, or industrial maintenance industry. Contactors are a key component that contribute to the automation and control concept in industry today. They also keep us safe from having to manually close switches in high current, high voltage applications.

    Man again I don’t know if I’ve watched so many videos that the content is starting to click in my brain or it’s just how you come off with your teaching method. God is good I’m thankful for your videos.

    I'm surprised he didn't mention a third reason for using contactors, and that's the current rating over relays. Great video, all the same. Appreciate the effort that went into it.

    I’ve always thought of it this way;
    A relay goes “click” while a contractor goes “clunk”.

    Wonderful explanation! I would only suggest you consider switching to a white shirt or to white ink, as it would improve the legibility of your drawings. Overall though, fantastic job! Thank you so much for these videos!
