This is truly brilliant, thank you! True, the XY pad is just a visualization aid, but such aids are extremely useful in how they help bring out new ideas. I followed your video step by step and immediately extended this design into two new things. One: attach a simple random pitch generator to each of the oscillators, so it becomes a generative pad of sorts. Then attach a short melody to one of the oscillators: you get a lovely effect of the melody fading in and out, dissolving in the pad. (Extension: cycle through a bunch of different melodies. Or attach two slightly different melodies to two opposite corners of the XY). Two: get the Orbitron plugin for free, and make it even better than the plugin itself. The plugin does something like this: it morphs sequentially or randomly through up to 4 different FX, mostly various kinds chorus/flanger/phaser. And it's right there in your design: switch the whole setup to be an FX Grid instead, and replace the oscillators with whatever FX devices you want: chorus, flanger, phaser, filters, anything. Your audio is now going through these morphing effects, instant Orbitron! Or, go qudruple: make four of those XY pads, put one more in the center, and morph between four morphing XY pads :-) Sure, it could all be done with plain random or LFO mod sources, but it's so much easier to set up when you can see it like this.
I know you're more focused with Bitwig recently, but I would love to see more general videos that can be applied to other DAWs/general music stuff like your earlier videos in the forest. Great work as always though!
Short question. Why do you make use of the Uni-Bi module, couldn't we just set x and y parameter to bipolar in the inspector? Is there a difference or is it just another way?
most useful GRID video I've seen on YT. Thanks again T

Thanks! Happy Tuesday!
Awesome watching the making of this patch. Thanks for sharing.

This is fine, but when will the Tâches Teaches Typing series finally be released?
Great Thanks!!!
