Absolutely!! If you can perform the work, you can earn the income! This is generally true across the tech industry, as well as many other industries. You would put the effort in to learn the skills, take advantage of any access to help with resume & interview prep, then use your golden experience as a mature adult to apply to the interview process; it will also likely come in handy A LOT when dealing with your potential clients, who can often times be fellow mature adults. Use what you have to your advantage; age & experience dealing with people at varying levels can be a true Pro of being a sales rep. In my time in HR & Payroll, I've seen many checks... the most successful & highest paid tech sales reps were usually the mature-aged ones. Good luck! :-)
is there room for a disabled person like myself in technology? very physical jobs I can’t do those anymore I would love to work a job where I could come in and people address me with respect instead of telling me to go bust toilets and sweep floors and mop floors and treating me like I’m nothing because I’m disabled I would love to have a job where my words can impact people‘s lives and put a smile on peoples face I would love to be a sales engineer and make money and grow so that I could take care of my family how do I go about this?
