Installing OpenIV | GTA V + Epic Games tutorial

- With a new release of a game comes a lot of confusion around modding. This video goes through installing OpenIV for use with GTA V on the Epic Games Launcher because it's free there. ScriptHookV still doesn't work, so a lot of mods won't either. Stay subscribed for more info.

Need Help! It doesn`t work, my .exe isn`t there, nowhere to be found. It is only three folders there:
- Profiles
- User Music
- videos
And there is nothing else than som other folders in them whith nothing in it.
Please help, there are not just me that have this problem, can you help us solve the problem?
Oh and there is a thing there that says Settings, but that just lead me to somwhere whith a lot of text and stuff.

i redid some of the game textures by myself, replacing them with other images, and i installed some replacement mods as well, but when I enter the game the mods don't show. Also, when i try to launch the game from OpenIV, it won't let me, and says i need to launch from rockstar launcher. help?

What if it tells me to launch gta v with epic games launcher and the fivem single player is non responsive when clicked on
When I try to run OpenIV, it gives me an error message that says "'C\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\d3dx9_33.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. when i try to lunch gta5 it said me to lunch it with Rockstar luncher ,so i cant lunch it via openIV, solution?

I'm stuck at 6:02. When I open the mods folder there's no option to create a folder within that folder
for me its says encryption_key.bin file is not found do you know how to fix this?
when i modded epic games store says repair needed and when i remove all the mod files it stills says the same thing and when i try to uninstall from egl it doesnt do anything and when i just backup the saves and delete the whole folder it still doesnt do anything and egl still thinks its downloaded and needs repair :/

hello idk if your question was already answered and if it was sorry but i went to my main drive and searched "epic" and found two epic games folders one was useless one had the exe
I downloaded the game in epic but I play everything fine it entered the game but something happened that I go to the rockstar application it asks me for the confirmation email code but it never arrives, what can I do to enter the rockstar website and when I put it I forget the password. if I receive the email and change it. but the email code never arrives
when i open the GTAV folder manualy everythings is full, but when i try to browse it with the OopenIV its completly empty so i cant select it

see the mod works but i turned off ASI Loader and OpenIV.ASI to play GTA Online and it gives a message saying corrupted game error saying to reboot or reinstall the game how do i fix it bc i see others fixing it by installing both asi loader and openiv.asi on the manager but im wanting to play gta online

i am so confused...? i go to local disk c program files and then i only see rock star games then i only see launcher and social club... so then i go to program files 86. i see epic games and rock star. i click epic and there is directxredlist and launcher so then i go to rock star in the 86 program files and its just social.... where am i supposed to go...? my gta is on my other drive to my epic and rock star shit.

Hey , like I was playing with the mods in GTA 5 Offline and now I have to go and play GTA 5 Online what are the steps we have to do ? First as told in the video will uninstall AsiLoader and OpenIV.ASI !!! Then , what I have to uninstall / delete ?
I do that and the game wont start giving me an error that says corrupt game files....so eight now the only way to open the game by installing asi loader and open iv.....[lz help @TroubleChute
most mods just say **mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/dlclist.xml** and **/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/here** what does the patchday 12 have to do with anything? surely it still has to go into that main file?

@@refinedwaffler4491 install the OIV for the vanillaworks extended pack to a mods folder with nothing in it, the pack will install the most updated and folders and only the needed one x
For some reason when i get into open iv and in the gta folder after i created the mods folder it wont let me create the other folders inside of the mods folder, any help?

dont run this with online, run the game from the root exe so theres no mods on it
after downloading open iv my pc doesn't open and opens windows store
Some may not find the gta.exe , but if you select C:\Program Files\Epic Games\GTAV it should automatically detect it.

Yo im actually using a paid mod for online so is it going to mess up my game if i use this for offline? Or i have to first uninsta the mod then use it? Also is this openiv allowed in this game? I mean will i get banned in online if i use this? Sry for alot of questions.. Lol im a newbie in this stuff😅

Can you find a way to go online with open ik installed without getting the corrupt message
use your clean backup. Take the modded gta game out of the epic games directory, and put the clean gta backup in instead.

Paul Ervin in Unreal Engine you'll find GTAV, that was in my case

honestly why is it this difficult to get a enb working with gta 5, should be like all other games like skyrim where you copy and paste the right files and your done. so stupid i cba.

Tips from here should help you started with modding on the Epic Games version, at least until ScriptHookV is updated officially.
