Thank you for your instruction, Guro Paul. The reverse split entries are really cool and definitely a rare one, but like you said, can be effective for setting up intercepting uppercuts and throws. I really enjoy the Panantukan stuff. Substitution Principle in Kali is so fascinating, the way that the core patterns, principles, and techniques all cascade through any weapon, including empty hands. It's genius. I have mainly practiced Inosanto-Lacoste Kali at my JKD schools but have also dabbled in some Balintawak, Pekiti Tirsia Kali, Ilustrisimo Kali, Modern Arnis, and NSI. I was also learning from a Tuhon who is developing a weapon-based grappling system using a mix of Catch Wrestling and PTK, really exploring the use of a stick as a prybar kind of tool for doing throws, locks, and chokes. The depth of FMA and everything it is capable of is truly breathtaking and life-changing.
What I love about them is that they all help you getting various armdrags, but you can stay with punches. BTW: I‘ve seen a different type if split entry where you can hyperextend the arm and push someone down. It‘s just risky from the inside position.
I am currently learning shotokan karate when I saw this video i found this technique similar to a block in karate called uchi uke inside block as a part of performing this block we cross our arms to execute it after seeing this video i found some similarities between this technique and that block.
My uncle master a lot of different martial arts like Silat, Filipino kali, Muay Thai, judo, wrestling, kickboxing and 52 blocks. He is quick with his hands for him to be 70 this year.
Attack is artificial. Most punches are way faster, you wouldn’t have time to see it. Let alone retracting punches. Only robots remain with hand extended.
Tell me that you dont understand how drills work without telling me, id usually ignore stupid comments but there's 5 people who like your comment you dont train at all am i right?
Much love from Philippines for representing Filipino Martial Arts!
You can see that technique in Filipino action movies and this move is usually used by Lito Lapid,Jeric Raval and the late Jess Lapid Sr.
Nice. Rock solid stuff - as are those beautiful rock formations in the surroundings. Thanks, Paul and Kevin👍
Excellent video Great job, Paul and Kevin.

Good stuff. Great explanation and details. Definitely subscribed.
Thank you for sharing these drills. Don't forget to strike in guntig form on radial nerve, on the arm.
Fun stuff!

A Boxing bag is artificial most people dont swing from chains
I see a lot of good ways to get yourself knocked out here.
Maybe… 🤷🏻♂️then again fighting in general is a good way to get yourself knocked out. Happens in every martial art every day.
Pacquaio fights has a lot of split entries you can watch and see how this works
Fight someone who actually knows how to do this and then come talk.
I see a lot of people who don't know shit telling someone who does know his shit how wrong he is
I doubt you do
Дякую 🎉in Ukrainian
Ah the combat style type that never works in sparring XD
