MrSealyP, why why do you always make the most simple task look so so hard? 🤷🏼 you know full well that selling wood you need to push the button to sell wood! Turn on the markers, we don’t mind seeing the markers, I know you don’t like them, but this was a right fiasco mate.

To be fair if you own the north mill it automatically unloads the wood and containers auto sale. But checking the help screen and markers I thought he would have tried.

You need to turn on the indicators that show you where the sell icon is. (The exclamation mark) . Just like any other sawmill sell point. You have to manually hot the sell icon.
I think you need to have the sell triggers turned on. They aren't visible. You may need to drive in the sell point then get out and use the sell trigger.
I'm about 70 miles across the irish sea from the lake district, but even from here I can hear MrSealyP kicking himself reading all the comments about how to sell wood :)
Not to mention when he finally do sell the deadwood and realize he wasted all that time for nothing.
@@DonGorgen The sell point should have a little helper that walks out of the shed and points, saying "You're expecting me to pay for _that_?"
A lot of the new stuff definitely helps on console but I think the number one thing that could be considered a game changer for doing forestry on console if you could only choose 1 would 100% be the winch.
Being able to grab the trees and drag them out of the forest and put them in a neat straight line for easier loading is an awesome addition at least for console players.
Yes I agree. All we need now is winching vehicles together! And perhaps a follow me for console
@@johnbarclay7737 Something interesting I kind of realized by mistake that's really handy is resetting your vehicles. I accidentally went over the railing on the bridge when I was coming back from doing a contract and had to reset cause I'm on console and couldn't do anything about it.
Got me thinking that because of how long it takes some of these really slow ones to get up to the top of the map, that when I'm done doing the contract I just reset it instead of the painfully long slow drive back. Pretty handy. Lol
@@Adam-tp6ch but be aware you do lose anything loaded on vehicle when you reset it.
Eh I probably get stuck alot more using the winches pulling trees from hills 😂
@@terrexcorbin Fair enough but on console with no super strength how fun would it be to even attempt getting one of those trees from a hill or middle of the forest. Lol
Hey Paul the reason the logs weren’t selling is because there wood sell points, you need to push the button to sell them. Turn on interactive markers to see the button.
It's MrSealyP fault for always turning off the markers.
No sympathy, but it doesn't make for great viewing.

The problem with the old sawmill is that once you buy it the sell wood trigger go vanished and wood start accepting itself..when mresealyp did the map tour he try selling wood there but he had already buy the sawmill so he didnt need to find sell wood trigger.

The map is amazing, I was almost convinced to try logging again, but this video has reminded me why I don’t -so thank you for saving me the frustration. I think I’m content to do my logging vicariously through Mr Sealy P.
This map would make for a great multiplayer experience, get that roller coaster built and go for a group ride.
I’m all for realism when done right but the opening With the Land Rover and a huge John Deere is ridiculous either way looking forward to the rest of these

It's gonna be painful for him when he finds out that he might not get enough $ from all the work he did from these trees to even pay for the $ he spent on chainsaw gas. Lol
Edit- Now that I've seen the whole vid and seen that for some reason he's forgotten how to sell wood, it's gonna be real, real painful when he sees how useless the deadwood is.
Sigh...funny that some of the deadwood disappeared from the sawmill. You reckon he left some pieces of those trees on site and when they respawned when he closed the contract the pieces disappeared? Crazy!
I tried selling the deadwood trees as I cut them down with the mobile wood sell point I got £1 a tree 🙄😂😂 pointless. I might try and wood chip some and see if that produces a better outcome but I don’t hold out much hope.
@@stevestubberfield3528 I hear that if you put the deadwood in your own productions you get full volume for the wood. I have not tried though as I can't be bothered to get my equipment up to the site to load the wood. In fact, after two months I stopped deadwood and rock contracts. Once the novelty wears off they are kind of lame and don't pay anything. I do transport and farming contracts, but I don't have the time to mess with the deadwood and rock breaking. Did you know when you close a deadwood contract the dead trees simply respawn back in the same place? I suppose the rocks do too. I mean, why even bother....
So where is the best spot to sell deadwood? I know your mills and woodworking shops don't really want it, cuz it's useless material. We need a firewood splitting mod, like what David Marks just started using. But I suspect that's only for PC as I've not seen it in modhub yet 😡
@@seanobrien7169 what disappointed me was when I did rock breaking on my own property, the rocks just disappear, you don't even get to collect the gravel from it 🤬

Lots of fun! 👍 I suggest you do get the JCB teleskid. You will need a skid steer loader to do rock removal contracts as well as on your own land. 👍😃 Great series and an awesome map! I have never done much logging but I have already "logged" lots of hours in Silverrun Forest. 😎

A cracking first episode MrSealyp, I have been shouting at my tv "SELL WOOD TRIGGER" lol 😂 and there is a sell point for wood at the old sawmill by the millpond but dead wood tree contracts aren't worth selling the wood after, I just cut the marked trees down and leave them where they fall then complete the contract once the last tree has fallen. Hope this helps out 👍

I've been waiting to start the expansion until you put this first video out. Never thought I would enjoy farming simulator until I watched one of your fs 19 videos awhile back and now I am addicted. Thank you for keeping your style and continuing to make your videos the way you enjoy playing the game. I won't download a mod until I watch your review. Only saying this to let you know some of us don't even bother with the other fs22 videos and look to you for keeping us updated and playing.
MrSealyP I love your lets plays and mod maps as im on console like you,....but sometimes your a right Plonker LOL... as others have said you need to sell wood by going to the sell wood icon.... Just like in any other sawmill LOL... but you did give me a good laugh tho...I was literally screaming at my screen that you need to click icon LOL.. You need to at least switch on help window and icons when these things happen..looking forward to seeing what you do in Silver Run Forest.
I hope you have selling figured it out, and I hope my yelling instructions at the screen helped lol. We have all been there in one way or another. Keep it up

The mill pond works like a normal log sell point were you need to press the sell logs option, the sell button is on the pier that extends into the pond where legs go up.
How many people were screaming at the screen at this point?

Once he gets past these initial teething problems 😀It would be no surprise if he did, as Daggerwin seems reluctant do any substantial forestry to get ahead and earn some decent money to progress.
Daggerwin acts like he's allergic to money and hates making it.

I was disappointed when Daggerwin bought the materials rather than working for it and I enjoy his videos usually! I have grabbed collectables when I see them, but invested in productions and equipment.

I know you did this all on purpose just to make people like me feel better. I haden't done much logging and spent hours trying to figure out how to sell lumber before finding the little interactive floating circle you have to click on an choose sell logs. ;)

You need to click the i-icon to sell wood. At the container sellpoint you can only sell wood in a container.

When you came out of first person in the beginning of the video I couldn't help but start laughing... that poor Land Rover. When looking at the trailer from back, the John Deere looks like it has a blister or something on the front of it. Is that even legal? LOL

Just a comment about selling wood at the container warehouse--the wood has to be in a container to sell it there. It took me a good while before I figured that one out. I love all of your videos and have learned so much from you. I even love your dad jokes! Keep 'em coming.
I've not done a deadwood contract yet, I'm still playing WITH all the new stuff and haven't started actually PLAYING the game yet.. But I think you gotta go push a button to sell wood, and I think you can only bring containers of timbers to the container warehouse.
And I'd sell the forwarder and the old Volvo, get a trailer and one of those cheaper skid steers with attachments. You SHOULD be able to do just about everything (small scale) with those, until you can save up cash to get bigger stuff.
also, tip, if you use the harvester alot of people seem to like the auto align feature... i dont lol its not to reliable instead get it aligned to grab a tree untill it says cut for the action button (xbox A ps4 x pc not sure probably c or f or e) on console auto aligns the rb button plus left on d pad but it dowsnt always work.. cut though grabs the tree and cuts if your trying to pick up a tree you dropped it will pick it up strip just the tip of branches and let you line it up press cut again and it will make the first cut of what ever preset measurment log. much bettet nore effiecient. that crane cares usless honestly lol use any lufter with straps on a tractor i believe aything with straps will work you can lift like 1-8 or even 10 logs at 1 time in a neat bundle
Ah, the joys of logging. Tedious, cumbersome, and pure pain. To each his own.
You have to manually sell the wood,. by clicking the (!) marker. except the north saw mill, you just have to get it close to the water, as long as you own it. hehe
The north sawmill does have a sell wood button if you don't own it. The button is near where the logs get pulled out of the water onto the belt that takes it inside the sawmill, so you can sell to that sawmill as well.
The old saw mill has a sell trigger on the walk way above the pond. When you own the old saw mill it auto ”sell” take it in.
correct me if im wrong, but isnt there a info trigger button you normally have to hit at a wood sell point to actually sell the wood, and you always have those markers turned off
You need to turn on you Interactive Zone Markers

Morning mrsealyp. I was dreading Monday until I received the notification you'd posted a video. 👍👍 I have a suggestion if I may. Find the biggest tractor that takes a front loader with a log grab. Then, the rear mounted tree processor (I'm 90% sure there is one) plus a reasonable sized log trailer. May be a more efficient use of time given the terrain. Just a suggestion either way , can't wait to see the next episode. Much love.

You finally started. Lol
I know you really like doing contracts as do I, so I figured I would mention this in case you might not have thought about yet.
Keep the 3 fields on the map and don't buy them, for doing contracts and just create 2-3 for yourself.
While the 3 new forestry missions are okay and give you something to do, they kind of get old fairly quick so having the 3 fields for normal contracts is a welcome change.
Those contracts also give you tractors (unlike tools, contract tractors can be used for anything you like - get a good one, simply never complete the contract, free tractor). Anyone who has worked with the Volvo starting tractor for more than 1 hour is in need of therapy.
@@leezer5150 Anyone who ever uses any of the starting equipment is crazy. I never play on new farmer. I always start as farm manager and buy the same land as you would normally start off with, but I buy the equipment I want to use, not the garbage they give you most of the time.
I bought those plots so I didn't get the normal contracts. Be adventurous and step outside your comfort zone
@@bigtrilobyte6676 I am and I'm doing quite a bit of forestry but I still want the variety of normal fields also for contracts. I've been doing this map for 50 hours now and the missions are starting to get a little old so it's nice when a harvesting or cultivating one comes up. If it wasn't for the roller coaster, boat yard and normal contracts from those 3 fields mixed in I'd probably be bored and done with the map by now. Lol
There's a trigger point you have to stand over to sell your trees.
I forgot to tell you, go up the stair walk way behind your cabin, and on a lil island in the pond up top there you will find an owl sitting there 😉 worth a look 🤙🏽😉

You have to go to the ! Icon and click L3 to sell wood. Turn on the icons and locate it by the sell point.

You will get next to nothing for deadwood. Just leave and it disapears after you get paid. Full load of deadwood like 20 bucks

i wish modders could add a sort of tape measure device to measure logs mark a cut point and wo hand cuts can be done more accuratly now its sort of a guessing game on the halfway point of total length of tree.
old saw mill all you do is park just in water in pond and then go press sell button at rack where logs go up.
He has his icons off so he can't see that button, in his testing he owned the north sawmill and it automatically took the logs without the need for any input (other than putting logs in the pond of course) think that's why he's thinking it should just sell automatically.
I love your videos only problem I have on the P.C. version is I dont get the indicator to show you where the contract is . I wonder around in my loader on the roads looking for the land . Not sure if I am missing a seting on hw to mark the area the contract is in. It worked on my other maps.
I had a load of deadwood trees I had cut down and I saved exited came back and it seems like some of the productions gave me more wood then I get normally
Turn...Triggers...On. Thank you. (if nothing you did a Daggerwin pretty good, he too don't know how too a lot of things (selling at wrong point, not finding sell trigger, etc) because not having triggers on)
Him playing the game for 7 years, he probably knows exactly what he does. How to add 300 comments yelling at him for being a moron, sell the wood at another place than the contract says. That's a bump up in the algorithms.
@@arneanka4633 for "knowing exactly what to do" one would think clicking the SELL trigger (you cant see) would sell the wood you cant seem to be able to sell...
And that is WHY you keep the triggers ON, at least until you KNOW exactly where they are.
It's called deadwood for a reason
I started as FM and bought different stuff as not too bothered about Very Old Ladie's Vehicle Only (VOLVO) and just used a frontloader and log grab with tractor log trailer, would rather use what I know and feel happier with.
Use the spray can to mark the middle of the log?
You can but it causes it to bug and the log starts moving (the movement is similar to the standing trees swaying in the wind)
It was... entertaining (said with a cringe). the deadwood is virtually useless. those contracts are STRICTLY for explorer various areas of the map and stumbling upon collectables. even if you got the wood to sell, it would cover the cost of gas for the vehicles.
still going to be fun watching the progress.
Do you have sell point trigger icons turned off?
It tips in real world very rare once you have it will slip out logs aren't smooth or perfectly round
I ended up putting a log fork on wheel loader, that crane on the Volvo was driving me to the point of leaving the map. Lol. I find using the wheel loader much easier.
I'm the total opposite lol, I hate wheel loaders.

Did you know that if you don’t own the old saw mill if you put logs in the wood chipper and if you have icons on you will see a sell timber icon under the chipper you can sell your wood there and you also get the wood chips for free

I didn’t know you get charged for each cut with the chainsaw, is there a setting for that to turn it on and off ?
