Yes change the tires. Use the continental off road tires. On second thought just sell that truck and get the TLX 3500 and make the trailer a goose neck.
That truck only has 1 powered axle. Check in the options if it can be upgraded to an all wheel drive setup, or an 8x6 setup, or less axles... Otherwise you could downgrade to a hi hp tractor, maybe a fastrac with 250+hp might work out? Give you good road speed with off road capability. Not sure how much hp you need for those hills though. The big quad-track sure looked good towing that trailer train! Also if you need to try out different machines to see what works we don't mind if you cheat the money back in, so you're not losing out buying or renting different vehicles to find something that works. Machinery dealers in the real world seem to let farmers trial machines for a week to see how they work out before buying them...
Awesome episode as always. I'm loving the start. On a separate note, it's crazy the you are almost to 100,000 subscribers. That is really something. You are doing great stuff. I'm very proud to be part of it. Keep up the Mr. Sealy P magic coming.
Moving along nicely Mr SealyP. I’d recommend swapping the truck out for a TLX Phoenix it’s 6x6 with better ground clearance. Hasn’t let me down at all and I’ve been pulling triple 50Ft trailers 👍
The rear hitch is low on the 9000. Because of this some rear hitch trailers will drag their jacks on bumps and hills. I had this happen to me with a rear hitch low deck even when empty. Try a gooseneck or fifth wheel dump trailer.
You are amazing! I could not have backed that truck and trailer around like that if someone had a gun to my head! Just make arrangements for my funeral. And God bless you!
@MrSealyP - Paul - that cabover was only delivering drive to the rearmost axle - check if there's a gearing selection that delivers drive to all 3 rear axles - I'm sure that's supposed to be a 8x6 truck, not an 8x2.
Great episode/ let's play as always MrSealyP 👏 👍... I think the issue you're having with the truck is being caused by the extra axle in the middle its causing the truck to stay rigid / level at all times which is causing the rear axle to lift off the ground over uneven terrain, and thats where you're drive is coming from. Worth a try, see if removing it makes any difference 🤔
Amazing truck/lorry/tractor. 8 wheels and only (barely) drive on the furthest rear pair. And of course also using a trailer hanging as far back as possible to make sure no weight for traction at all on the wheels.
@@michaelgrzywacz3780 love to see an example of where you think I have kissed anything, especially considering I didn’t actually defend him or his video with my comment. You're having troubles with your Truck because you have to many Axles and only one Drive Axle? You need a Double Drive configuration for what you need to do? Especially for Forestry Work!!
Also I think there are some really good moded trailers that are way under used. I use the small flatbed trailor pack and the 30 foot flatbed by Macktrucker921. They are great trailers and can haul more than they look they can. I use them all the time.
I've never had an issue with that truck like that, but I change the axle so it's an 3 axle and make sure it's red, that means it has awd and all 3 axles work instead of just the rear axle 🤙🏽
I like the expansion. However. Site #24 has an invisible wall that is like half way to the edge of the map. You physically cannot get anywhere close to the edge of the map (this is middle of the highlighted part) . Idk if it's supposed to be like that but it makes the plot a lot smaller than the blue area shows. 😕
Good day Mr silly p make sure your TLX has all the drive axles turned on in the shop for driving it appears you only have the rear axle of the truck driving should have all three rear axles driving in that train
Hi Paul, I usually only watch your mod review vids which are ace btw. But I’ve started with the let’s play on Silverrun and I’m loving it, can’t wait for the next episode 😆
I think the trailer you have you should be able to configure to gooseneck, and that should connect to the fifth wheel plate on the semi you have. Would work for time being instead of wasting money on another trailer. My thoughts on what I would do in your situation.
I though the mine was a bit too cheaty being free. It should be a building you buy. So I bought the land before using it. That's covers the cost for the mine and the free equipment. That also allowed me to put the iron furnace on the same plot so it ls not an adventure to fill it up. You can get a bigger bucket for the wheel loader which is 2400 but filled with iron it's front heavy. This is the most beautiful map I think. I get snow runner vibes.
alright so the issue with the traction on the truck is the very back axle is the one doing all the driving, as you are going up or down hill that back axle slightly looses contact with the ground. Not sure but if you can configure it to a tandem it should work better. It would be awesome if David could make the tandem into a twin screw then we'd never get stuck.
I think one of the modded trailers your already have (maybe the 53ft trailer mod) I believe it has a deck and had an option for log forks. You could haul the skid steer empty and then put the log forks up and load up.
Great series again and loving the map. You don't have to use sheep for the fabric production. I used the outdoor garden mod and produced cotton. Saving space. Buying the sawmill before anything else is a priority. Also stay clear of the dead trees. Worthless in wood and chips. Been there and done it. Have fun and I like the way the narrative is going 😀
Great job backing iron ore trailer, but I’m afraid your tendency to hit things is known around the world. Lol But I have to say you have gotten better about running over the road signs.
I found the best way to up right trailer off logs on it's side use the new winches as long as you can get it hook to one off the logs it uprighted easy use a big horse power tractor
I swapped the Volvo's out at the iron ore area as knew they would be pants in both capacity and horsepower. The iron ore production company had upgraded luckily! ;)
I love the wheelie in the skid steer loader I was laughing myself silly. I usually by a larger loader right off the bat, any way great video Love your thought process on everything :) keep up the good work.
Best truck is the TLX Phoenix With the D60 and full volume for the jake brake. You are in the US, get a real US truck. We don't use COE in this country since the 70's. You don't know fun until you fly down the mountain at 97mph with a full log trailer...
At least one of the 82 Studio trucks has a Jake Brake, which redirects power/compression from the engine to braking, which could be accounting for that problem you're having with hills.
The 9000 with triple axel and big tires looks great but I had alot of problem going off road. I went back to the two axels and normal tires and have no problems now.
I’m going to experiment with a normal Flatbed and strap a 12 m container on it and see what it does. Because if I can get that to work then I can strap two of the smaller containers on it and load those with 6 m logs if you get the doors facing outward
@@ILHillbilly67 I had a flatbed on mine hauling the Volvo log loader, the truck could not make it when it was transitioning from different surfaces. I got stuck the exact same spot where he was going off road to the rock removal job but I was doing a log hauling mission. 82 studios does a logging trailer that has the option of a rear hitch. Please please please buy it. It was like watching paint dry, it must have been seriously frustrating for. I can imagine the cursing that went on
You might get 150l of wood chips from the deadwood if you're lucky :D i still chip the ones that is on my land just to get rid of them. I do like the deadwood contracts though because you dont need to deliver them anywhere. I like to use the Volvo 250dl with the Westtech woodcracker for those contracts.
The problem with the TLX is that it is only a rear axel drive. when sitting on uneven ground the very rear axle is not touching the ground. In real life, you would click on the differential and all axels would drive. The triple axle looks cool but in-game mechanics you would be much better off with a standard duel axle truck.
ok just saw the trouble you were having at 52 min mark. that may actually be some other kind of problem with the mod. I would still try a standard duel axle truck.
I use TLX X3 tipper trailers forestry for logging. Has no back doors for forestry .. easy to load 9 meters logs on & I just drive into the water at my mill ..done in 2 minute & same at a sell point.
Mrsealyp...the TLX 9000 power drive is not working correctly. I have messaged David about it. Just switch it to the regular triple drive and it does just great. I am using it on Silverrun in that configuration and have had absolutely no issues!! Unless you want to count driving at 100 mph. LOL!!
Now we know why the owner of the North service station was selling his lorry. When he signed it over, I bet he didn't disclose that it can only be driven on flat ground. I won't be buying my fuel there anymore.
Looks like you bought a lemon... I can highly recommend the AW 362 Cabover mod in its DD 8v92 road-train variant - it's not so potentially ludicrously fast as the TLX9000 nor as overpowered, but with 1800 horses it can steadily maintain speed up the Silverrun trails (climbing at 26mph with 110,000l of ore) and I haven't had a moment's bother with it.
True mate everyone picks the tlx stuff because it gets hyped up by other TH-camrs but really it’s just a truck that goes faster than the other in game I think 82 studio makes them with amazing detail but there more show than work

As much as I love Fs22, can feel your pain with the highway truck there, MrSealyP! Kinda ridiculous. I once pulled an empty bale truck, tandem axle body job with a HEAVY trailer (although both were empty) with a John Deere 4650 up the VERY steep hill in front of our ranch..with the truck completely dead. The old girl only had about 175 horse or so, and no issue pulling that hill at a good clip. The performance, traction and torque in this game is not very good at all.
The Massey Ferguson skid steer loader 711 pack has a universal bucket with a 2k capacity for 1k and it lifts it just fine with the jbc skid steer that your using

You would think a 2000hp truck would be able to push those trailers around, especially if the Land Rover can do it with ease, just seems ridiculous.
You go to the store and the An axle options You don’t have to change the tires look for a triple axle in red that gives you all wheel drive stability
Some weight on the wheels will help, I think.
Excellent story line. Im quite impressed with you MrSealyp
I've been a truck driver all my life, you'll have to have weight on your 5th wheel otherwise it won't work ! There is no traction.
You are amazing! I could not have backed that truck and trailer around like that if someone had a gun to my head! Just make arrangements for my funeral. And God bless you!
I use dual axle tlx and 5th wheel hitch the bumper pull can be a tad low for some longer trailers
That's a very cool trailer it opens up at the end and ramps come out that's very cool keep up the great streams and have fun 💞👍

I love them old Volvo wheelloaders! I learned how to drive in one of those, when I was about 13 years old 😊
my 1st drive was a David Brown 885 with forestry winch.
That trailer will hook up better if you put it for a Goose neck, should still connect to the 5th wheel
Had the same problem with the 9000 today....I'll try changing the tires tomorrow. Just gave up and left it in a field today 🙃
From what I’m seeing when your driving your rig, when it’s not moving the vehicle is stuck in neutral 👍
Loads of fun! I'm really enjoying the series. On the TLX 9000, loose the front axle. I think it will help. I'm not a fan of the "tag axle" set up. 👍
