I'm an epic seven player and speed and advance forward is a very familiar stat for me as in that game speed is the most important stat. Naturally I value speed as much in HSR. I think it's important to at least have speed boots for most units. And even more speed for openers like Asta and Bronya

Thanks for this, having seele deletes my skill points too fast so i cant heal as often as id like. At least this means my natasha can do smth when that happens lol
Ooo, so THIS is what I was missing! RELICS that increase stats, including SPEED! I'm still very early on in the game, and thought it a bit dumb that there's even a Toughness mechanic when the enemy can just immediately regain theirs if they place high enough in the action order after getting it broken. A broken shield in other RPGs usually means the enemy loses a turn and is vulnerable until the next turn for you to go ham on them, therefore I was confused why Star Rail didn't follow the same mechanic. So you build for Speed stats that ensure your party gets their blows in after the Break Effect is dealt, gooot'cha!

Hi, are you still in need of help? Crit DMG - extra dmg over your current output Crit Rate - chances of crit dmg happening Effect Hit Rate - Not applicable for all, but it gives the extra chance for your character to apply a debuff. See Silverwolf skill (apply debuff), March 7th skill (apply frozen), fire MC (taunt). Effect Resistance: Avoiding the Effect they could put on you. Cocolia ice for example. Characters can help prevent that. Speed: How fast your character comes in turn order. 134 for two turns in 1 round, 164(?) for 3 turns iirc Imagjnary/Physical/Ice/Fire/Quantum/Lightning DMG boost: Extra dmg when using elements. Usually preferred but not all time (see: Luocha - atk, nat - hp, def - trailblazer, mar7tg (unless they're a dmg dealer as well...mar7th is a bit of a specialist, so you could use HP on her for shield heal iirc), etc) Atk: dmg output in general. Traces mention how much will be pushed out. That's all I remember atm
My perception of break effect is weird cuz like the best breakers are welt and asta with their multiple hit skills but i always find myself preferring my dmg dealers breaking since i get to deal dmg at the same time. So now I'd rather get other stats than break effect on them
You're looking at it wrong. The best dmg multipliers for Weakness breaking are physical and fire, as noted in the video. Multi hit characters also break the enemy toughness easier. Welt is NOT a good Weakness breaker. LOW DMG multiplier. Welt is used to control the action bar, not Weakness break.
What i would be interesting in, would be a Video about how exactly Stat Calculation works, because The way it is descripted online, always confuse me. Each time i try to calculate my Stats the way they descripe, i always end up with different Stats from what they are in Game.
I’ve been super confused with the whole Effect hit rate thing since everyone has been telling me to put a lot of it on my accidentally pulled Silver wolf
Asta and the Relic that gives your allies Atk for hitting over 120spd. Asta: Its Free Real Estate. Max 12% HP for everyone, and 8% per character with this set ATK% buff.
Thank you for the info! I really didn't understand about that effect hit rate before. Anyway, can you make another content about aggro priority that depends on character path? Is this true? I already seen some people talk about this, but im still confused if this a thing or not..
question about ERR%, say i have e2 qingque. so does that mean for eeveeytime e2 passive is activated (everytime i draw a tile passively or thru skill) she regenerates 1 energy* (1+ERR%)?
No. Energy regen is not worth sacrificing dmg stat for energy regen rate. For dmg dealers, you'd have to give up either attack, crit rate or crit dmg. Not worth it.
@James S but it is worth it. Only one relic offers that stat and energy regeneration does not exist as a substat, and although yes, you might sacrifice some damage, it won't matter if you can't use your ultimate when you need it
Thanks for this upload! About the Ice characters, is it reasonable to get a balanced Break Effect and EHR stats? Or Ice characters are best to have more EHR for better freeze chance? Thanks.
There's something I'm wondering... since the light cones don't have a main stat like weapons do in Genshin, and characters also don't seem to have a stat they scale with when leveling, is it possible to hit high crit ratios like we did in Genshin? Or will the ratios be smaller in HSR? Is crit even as important in this game as it is in Genshin?
Miss, could you further explain more about the enemies' shield??? Why does using skill inflicts more damage to the shield more than basic attack? does it have anything to do with the damage percentage? as in all normal basic atk on char always deal 50% vs skill that does 100%+? so in theory, if we upgrade normal atks to its max lvl, then we would have the same result as using our skill to the enemies shield?
It has nothing to do with the damage or the damage percentage, its a hidden value that isn't shown in the game. So upgrading your normal attack will not give the same result as your skill. All characters do 30 DMG to the toughness bar with their normal attack. This value does not increase or decrease unless you're in the Simulated Universe and obtain the Nihility/Elation blessing that increases your break efficiency. Some characters do 60 DMG to the toughness bar with their skills, like Dan Heng for example. Not all characters do 60 dmg on their skill, as Herta only does 30 DMG because its pure AoE skill. Dan Heng's ultimate does 90 DMG to toughness. You will have to look at the Honkai SR Wiki to see all the toughness damage values for individual characters.
Whats your opinion on effect RES? Wiki says that high level enemies get bonus EHR, which on some bosses can lead to permafreeze/permaprison, is it worth hunting as a substat?
Thank you for explaining these terms! I have a question: is it better to give harmony chars more speed than dps chars so dps chars will receive buffs right in their first turn? I'm giving Asta 1-2 more speed than Dan Heng right now so she always goes first to buff him, but Idk if it would be more effective the other way around
yes that is the ideal! you'd normally want your buff/debuff to act first so that effects apply for the whole duration of the turn and everyine can take advantage of it just a note: turn here is relative to the character, in this case the support. astas charge stacks will not deplete until it is astas turn to act again i think.

Weakness Break can inflict debuff on enemies, could be that 100% guaranteed if enemies have a higher effect res?Still need some puzzles to solve
I like Sevy. I like Honkai Star Rail. I see Sevy and Honkai Star Rail **makes happy noises**
Thanks 🖤
When game mechanics become more complicated than rocket science. By the way, that is a remarkable explanation......
When i saw the speed status at first i was like "wtf bro why do i need speed in a turn based combat im not running anywhere"
Just noticed. Pela kinda looks like Sevy 😅❤
Much love from the Philippines
Thank you for the info! I really didn't understand about that effect hit rate before.
Anyway, can you make another content about aggro priority that depends on character path? Is this true? I already seen some people talk about this, but im still confused if this a thing or not..
Path? No. Element? Yes.
Enemies usually target the element they are strongest against.
question about ERR%, say i have e2 qingque. so does that mean for eeveeytime e2 passive is activated (everytime i draw a tile passively or thru skill) she regenerates 1 energy* (1+ERR%)?
Thanks✨✨
I found that most characters require extra energy except healers so energy regeneration would be useful on all characters
Thanks.
Some Ice characters prefer EHR (March, Pela, Gepard). Break effect is generally not recommended for our current Ice characters. Yw!
I cannot stress enough the importance of speed tuning. Make your dps slightly slower then your buffers
Just like every gotcha game with a turn based system with action manipulation.
ALWAYS debuff first, dmg, then healers.
Just play at your own pace no need to rush😅. Chill and enjoy..😊
No need to make assumptions

I thought character like Luka will do his 1 million punch move with more punches if used effective hit rate
@@ProjectTranzationz Thats a shame :( I just wish they gave these infos in the game too, well thanks for the info~
Whats your opinion on effect RES? Wiki says that high level enemies get bonus EHR, which on some bosses can lead to permafreeze/permaprison, is it worth hunting as a substat?
On healers/debuffers, yes.
🎉🎉Thanks🎉🎉
does basic attack talent lvl or dmg has any influence in breaking the enemies toughness shield?
Nope. Nothing can help breaking the shield faster (yet)
Nope.
Please refer to the WIKI to see how much toughness each characters skill can reduce.
IIRC, all characters basic attacks reduce toughness by 30.
So effect hit rate should have been called status chance
Or status rate
Thank you for explaining these terms! I have a question: is it better to give harmony chars more speed than dps chars so dps chars will receive buffs right in their first turn? I'm giving Asta 1-2 more speed than Dan Heng right now so she always goes first to buff him, but Idk if it would be more effective the other way around
yes that is the ideal! you'd normally want your buff/debuff to act first so that effects apply for the whole duration of the turn and everyine can take advantage of it
just a note: turn here is relative to the character, in this case the support. astas charge stacks will not deplete until it is astas turn to act again i think.
