Found one of these in a little local gun shop thanks to a buddy of mine used for a decent price so my wife and I picked it up for our son to learn on. I’m super excited to get back and try it out with him and I’m excited to hear that it’s a good rifle. Good content guys, really enjoyed it.
Thanks for the review, was debating on getting this one or not. Will pick one up tomorrow. I was needing something cheaper to shoot other than my 5.56 & 300 WM
I bought the Carbon Fibre model..second hand but like new.. And they had the steel model as well..also used and like new.. I really wish I bought them both..these are nice rifles..like'em.
Thanks guys...been considering this rifle after having extremely bad luck with a Christensen Ranger. I sent it in 3 times and they finally just bought it back, which is good on them for doing that. But now I need a replacement and was considering another bolt gun, (CZ 457) but I'm kinda spooked now with the idea of bolt fed .22's. I want smoothe like my Christensen MPR 6.5cm, when I work the bolt. Anyhow, thanks again.
I just bought this gun for my daughter to shoot for school competition shooting, she is their top shooter already with a savage .22 cookie cutter style that was donated by NRA but her gun is the bolt action. How often should I clean this thing to break it in?? He longest shot will be 70 feet at the state comp.
We were shooting a wide spectrum of ammo. Off the top of my head it loved the CCI subsonic target quite well and SK Red was single hole groups. I will follow up with a complete list, but like we mentioned, it cycled everything well, except for the CCI Quiet didn’t have enough power to cycle the bolt. With most quality ammo it was hovering around the 1 MOA group size and I think the SK Red shot a 1/4 inch group at fifty yards.
We had the best results with SK Rifle and SK Rifle Match. We had outstanding results with CCI standard velocity as well. Any match ammo will work great
BUYER BEWARE.....I have the exact same rifle....have tried thousands of rounds of subsonic ammo from Aguila, Eley, CCI, Norma, Selliers & Belloit, Wolf, and SK.....none of them shot consistently close to MOA at 50 yards....I called Bergara and was informed by the customer service manager that they don't guarantee anything under 2.5 MOA at 50 yards......WHY is that fact not stated in their sales literature. ....I also have a CZ 457 that shoots sub MOA with a few of the ammos I tried in the Bergara...
Here you are comparing a semi auto to a bolt gun, this needs to be compared more to a Ruger 10/22 to be an apples to apples comparison. Compare the CZ457 to a Bergara B14R, that is more apples to apples. Just like I would expect on average a Kidd Supergrade would consistently outshoot on of these BXR's because it sells for roughly 3 times as much. Question then becomes does the Kidd shoot 3 times better to justify the difference in price? Also any production line mass produced rifles you are going to have some shoot better than others, there are plenty of examples of people complaining about how their CZ457's do not shoot well while others rave about how well theirs shoot.
@@rifflicks I cannot help it if you cannot comprehend that comparing the results out of a bolt action rifle which platform is known for being more accurate for a particular ammo to that of the same ammo out of a semi auto is comparing apples to oranges and has absolutely no meaningful comparison. But your ignorance shows brightly!
We've had great success with SK Rifle Match. We haven't been able to test all the match 22lr but we can surmise that a shooter should expect good results with any high quality match ammo.

Great gun. Mine has been eating targets at 150 with Elley Match. Great video guys.
Great video. You guys deserve more subscribers for sure.

If you're getting bored at shorter ranges, remove the bipod, get some iron sights, and shoot prone, kneeling, and standing.
Agreed. This is why we enjoy NRL22 so much. It takes an otherwise easy shot more difficult.
good review.. Like it. Think the Tikka is better than the CZ But can get this rifle in bolt....... Bolt didn't have carbon barrel.. Thoughts ?

I’ve had a ton of issues with Ruger BXR-25’s.
How's does it compare to kidd 10/22 super grade?
The tip.....the tip??? How about the muzzle?
I thought it was a new episode of Little Britain!
During your early use of this Bergara BXR, did you ever experience the bolt sticking?
What ammo were you guys shooting?

nice
Sorry I’m most definitely sure this sounds disrespectful but the guy in the blue should just lose the hair in the front but
He's got more hair than me in the front...
That being said..
...I do look ridiculous.

Learn how to read MORON.....I wasn't comparing the CZ to the Bergara....I was stating that the Ammo that I was shooting was capable of sub MOA groups
@@rifflicks Most people are aware a bolt action rifle is generally considered to be a more accurate platform than a semi auto!

So which ammo do you think runs best in this gun?

You lost me at "tip."
