I am the organiser of the meeting but I don't have any option for Breakout Rooms

what if the "breakout rooms" option or dropdown menu is not there? I used to have it, until I updated the software. Then it is gone. I have tried re-installing multiple times and it is gone!

I don't have the break out rooms option and I'm the organizer.

Not sure if anyone's looking at the comments but, do you know why the Breakout Rooms option is missing from when you're editing a teams meeting like in this video?

You are right Microsoft isn't looking at these comments. You have to be the organiser to set up meeting rooms. And the meeting should have been sent.

I had the same issue but someone below said you have to access the calendar through the Teams app (not desktop app) and follow the instructions from there (click on the meeting from your calendar then edit) and it's there now! Thank goodness!

You click on 'Edit' very quickly at the beginning without mentioning it. People could easily miss that and be confused. What's the point of doing a 'how to' video without clearly showing every step?

Is it possible to assign a few manually initially and then while in the meeting, add the rest automatically?

It doesn't make it easier!! More than half my 27 participants do not appear in the list of participant to be assigned to rooms - even though they have accepted the invitation...
Somewhere I read that this may be because they have an older version of Teams - that is crazy! No wonder everyone prefers Zoom for meeting management.

My Assign Participants is greyed out- any idea why?

for someone who join the team meeting no in the pre-assign breakout room (unexpected attendees) , can they join the breakout room too ?

Excellent demo, thank you!! Am I to assume that your e-vite has to be sent already before you can assign breakouts? When I set up a DRAFT meeting (didn't send it yet), I did not see the breakout room option -- I'm guessing that's because I had not yet sent the e-vite, is that correct?

Yes, because you need to be the meeting organiser to be able to set up the breakout rooms

@@vv9022 I think the organizer can assign co-organizers to set up the breakout rooms too.

How to remove exit employee teams meeting from others teams calendar…

The presenter forgot to mention that you need to access the meeting through the teams app and not the outlook app. Also, they didn't mention that you need to press edit when you right click on the meeting. Not very clearly explained, a few crucial steps missing. Thumbs down.

This is helpful. Yes, we need to access the Teams App when we want to create breakout rooms. If we do it from the Outlook, the link won't appear

Why doesn't MS Teams allow co-organizers to set up breakout rooms before the meeting? this seems like a silly thing to not have...
