    I also thought I could skip laser cutting, haha! Thanks for the tip to get more intricate cuts. I'm hoping to make inch scale dollhouses so based on this video I think a good strategy will be to cut chipboard walls and floors, then wood slats for flooring, paneling, molding, and siding.

      That sounds like a great plan. You could also try with something like kraft board.

    Hi, I just came across this video which you posted a year ago on Wood Cutting & Knife Blade. I have a couple questions I hope you may be able help me with. My first questions is which Cricut is better? The Cricut Maker or Cricut Maker 3. Second question how thick of Polystyrene Sheets sheets can a Cricut Maker cut?? Thank you for posting this most informative video. Awaiting your response. 🙂

    • @ItsyBitsyBuild
      @ItsyBitsyBuild  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sal, you might want to take a look at my Cricut Maker vs. Maker 3 comparison video available here
      th-cam.com/video/utUw69Bw-zg/w-d-xo.html
      The maximum thickness the Cricut can cut is 2.4mm thick. If these sheets are straight polystyrene without any additional structure, like the ones you get in shipping boxes, its likely to break when you attempt to remove it from the mat and the small polystyrene balls it produces when cut may get caught in the machine. If you're referring to something like foam board which has some structure to it then this should be fine provided the plastic isn't too dense. I've never personally cut either so it would be a bit of trial and error.
      I hope this helps :)
