Project Wrong Way 2 - The Wrong Way to install leaf springs on the FJ40

  • Made a solid attempt to install the 4" leaf spring lift on the FJ40. Had some hang ups, and will have to have another go at it. Wife stepped in to film today, bless her heart. Ive since learned the proper method (I think) to install leafs and will try to show that the next go round. Cant brag enough about the Milwaukee M12 3/8 Impact stubby, it works so well you'll be taking things apart before you even know how to fix them.
    Special thanks to my brother Aaron. He helped me get the show off the ground, created the intro, music and logo I use for this show. I’m lucky to have him as a brother. Check out his instagram @aarondraper.
    This show is an attempt at humor. Im not a professional, and it should be clear within the first few minutes of every episode. I’m trying to give it “the old college try”. Learn with me, most importantly, learn what not to do. Im building the Landcruiser to be my driver, and overlander. I have a 2012 Honda Accord I drive every day, and its a soulless journey each time.

    Great video series. Like your approach a lot. Great to see what the average person, in their garage, with a less than full set of tools can do. I'm in the same boat, and this is great motivation. So much better than the professional videos where they have everything they need within reach and nothing ever goes wrong and they have staff to do research. This is an honest rebuild by normal people. Thanks!!

    Good to see someone like me, working on the 40 in the back yard shed, Making it up as I go along. In Australia we have these amazing things called safety Glasses to wear when under the 40 to stop 40 years of dirt, dust and grease falling in your eye's LOL
    Keep have fun with your Cruiser!

    Going back and re-watching all of these, because I realized I didn't give a thumbs-up on the early ones. It raised a question in my head though... "what happened to your brother helping!?!" Rachel is a critical part of this entertainment now and a non-negotiable, however, I don't think you've ever mentioned your brother since the first episode.

    • @projectwrongway9127
      @projectwrongway9127  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He had a lot going on, still does. At one point it was getting tough to film and edit episodes. I bugged Rachael about filming for me, and I just started editing myself. It ended up working out easier, so we continued with it.
