- British Columbia has 100 wildfires burning, with 90 active holdover fires from last year, according to BC Wildfire Service.
Firefighters face brutal environments, dense smoke, and rugged terrain, all of which contribute to a high risk of heat-related illnesses. The physical toll of manually hauling heavy hoses and pumps to the front lines is immense.
The DJI FlyCart 30 drone can alleviate much of this strain by delivering essential firefighting equipment directly to the front lines. The drone can carry significant loads such as 30 meters of 2" hose and vital gear like high-pressure water pumps. It enables firefighters to conserve their energy for critical tasks, potentially shortening the time required to control and extinguish the fires.
