I've owned my Twingo GT for a couple of months now and your assessment is spot on. The acceleration is as good as the hot hatches that I drove back in the 1980s with the added benefit of low 40s mpg, even though it has done less than 1,000 miles so far. This is a really good car with plenty of cabin room, good all round visibility and a usefully shaped boot that accommodates a fair amount lot of shopping or luggage. The UK press have, as a rule, underrated this cracking little sporty hatch which is why you see so few of them. Thank you for redressing the balance in your excellent review.
@@sussex_reef559 Have already responded to you on the Picanto GT thread and hope it is helpful but my next car will be electric as this is the way forward and my country is bringing in Zero Emissions Zones to all large towns and cities in the very near future.
Just bought one - rare, unusual, quirky, wirh unbelievable torque and power from just 890cc (it has a turbo). Tacho is available from Amazon Japan - Pivot DRXT dual tacho and temperature gauge but not cheap. On the downside, crazy hard to reach cup holders, some rattles, squeaks, etc and vulnerable to corrosion diamond cut alloys. Love it, certainly not dull and makes me smile. How many cars do that these days?
Subscribed, I actually enjoyed that and like your presenting style! keep up the good work! Only ONE important thing I feel you missed! you were talking about the little 900cc engine while pointing at the bonnet, and spoke about the lack of rear boot space, but didn't mention the cars number one difference, the fact its Rear engine and Rear wheel drive :-)
Reason the boot is small is that the engine is in the rear. Kept pointing to the front when mentioning the engine. Know your subject matter my good man. 😂
@@AJThePlayerTH-camChannel No worries. I chuckled a few times during it - 'decals' and 'Nigel Mansel'. Iv just ordered the same one in the orange and can't wait to get it!

no rev counter is the single reason i cannot buy one. unbelievable! only the french can manage this lol
@@kenzohkw It was a major issue for me until I bought mine and I don't miss it at all. But it is puzzling why a rev counter wasn't included.

ordered one last week thx for the review now the waiting begins cheers
How you finding it? I'm thinking of buying a second hand one?
Surprised you didn't even mention the fact the engine is in the boot...
didnt mention that it is rear engine and rear wheel drive so it can do skids if you disable the traction control through the obd can system
are you sure you can do that via obd?
@@Janshevik I have done it and there is a tutorial on my channel
@@elitesennabubble ohh I'll have to check it out, even though I'm noob at anything car mechanics.
@@Janshevik I am going to make a new tutorial soon that is better but for now that one is up
The engine is in the back right?
Yes

What is in the front of it where the engine usually goes?
Battery, wiper fluid filler etc
Someone tell him NOT to sit on his car.
Not my car!
That's even worse then! Don't sit on other people's cars!
LOL....Point taken!
Jeremy Clarkson wannabe with obligatory comment about Liverpudlians zzzz. Car's a Corker though.
