Honestly I feel like it’s my duty It’s such a beautiful culture and the more people who get in touch with it the better. Thank you so much for the support !!
I think you should talk about the lesser orishas to like Ọbalúayé - orisha of the Earth and strongly associated with infectious disease and healing Erinlẹ̀ - an elephant hunter and physician to the gods Okó - a hunter and farmer Osanyin - orisha of the forest, herbs and medicine Ajé - orisha of wealth Ayao - orisha of air Yewa - orisha of the river Yewa. of the maternity and of the children Ọtìn - orisha of river, she is hunter and wife of Erinlẹ̀. And some others i can't remember.
Good suggestion. What what about adding Aja as well? I am not familiar with this religion; so I do not know the distinction between an Orisha and a god or godess. Aja is a forest Orisha and is associated with herbal healing.
If not mentioned already Yemoja is traditionally known as "the metaphysical mother of all Orishas". And "the mother of humanity" as is her female-creatrix partnership with Obatala. Those are her two biggest qualities. Yemoja is considered the "paramount" river deity in Yorubaland with the Ogun-river, but she as "Yemaya" is also regarded as the co-ruler of the oceans/seas beside Olokun. As you explained beautifully because of her connection with the victims of the Atlantic Slave Trade.
Thank you for your wisdom, your knowledge and your content. May I ask what song played at the end of this video? it spoke to my soul, and I don't know why, but I would like to find out.
I think It is great that you are doing the work to spread the stories and culture of our people
