This is so refreshing. I was a Christian then a Hebrew Israelite. After a reading with someone who’s crowned and very well respected priestess told me I was a mama Wata. Seeking innerstanding led me to yemaya . The synchronicities were too often to be deception. She led me out of relegion and into real awakening and self realization. Khamsin, I do give thanks that the Orisha work with us though we may not be certain of their presence. To get the confirmation says a lot about how much you are actually listening. Mama Wata and Yemoja are exactly alike though if you talk to people who are initiated into Mama Wata, they may not express the same sentiment. At the end of the day each Orisha represents a universal principle and they just so happen to be called "Yemoja" or "Sango" in Yorubaland. Other call her Mama Wata, some may describe her as Cancer on the astrological wheel or the numer 6 in Numerology. The problem is humans get a little narrow in focus and try to make these principles and energies out to be something different if it doesn't fit in their paradigm.
