Her story is my story!!!! Just found out Mama Oshun has my head before my Baba found me I had a dream of Eshu I saw my Deities where at battle then Oshun came to me! about a week later my Baba came to me and basically let me know I was chosen And that Mama Oshun was upset because I didn’t feed her! Mama Oshun and I has the exact same story I so drawn to green yellow and sunflowers to the point where I have a huge one on the front of my neck! So to know She has my head is so unexplainable I’m truly honored covered and blessed !!! I prayed and prayed and studied and got closer to my destiny!!! 🌻🐝🙌🏾🙏🏾 Alafia Ase’ ooo
Dope episode.. she really does embody the great mother, yemaya. She was the first orisha who manifested in my life through music. She was definitely the mother I needed at the time.
I completely agree i grew up in the AME christian church and i feel AT HOME in IFA🙌🏽. Orula has opened up so many doors for me & knowledge after initiation🥰.
@Combat Sosa no not that i’ve heard of. We’re not an occult we worship Olodumare (God) HONOR The Orisha and our Ancestors (Egun) because without them we wouldnt be here🥰🙌🏽🧜🏾♀️
This episode inspired me! I went on the search for this woman, and I tell you that when I found her, she melted my 💙. She is everything and more then this quick video. Genuine, funny, beautiful, knowledgeable and strong. I am still a baby, and just got crowned last week. I am a child of Yemaya and Ellegua. This episode made me one of the proudest child of the two. Thank you Beloved Sis. 🙏🏾 💙
I love Kia so much ❤ she helped me start my spiritual journey without even knowing it and is a distant spiritual mom, she made me feel so loved and nurtured.. something I never received from my real mom ❤ so grateful for you 😘😘😘🧿
This video touched me so deeply . Everything she said hit me to my core .I am not initiated but I’ve been in love with Yemeya for almost a year now . Thank you for this video Joseph 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
This episode was another gem!!! Kia reminded me so much of the beautiful daughters of Yemaya that I encounter in my personal life. Baba Joseph we appreciate you for sharing how this faith doesn’t have a particular “look” Ifa reaches those who are called no matter where we come from or what our background is! Thank you… more confirmation💙🔑✨
Thank you SO much Iya. It was revealed to me a little over a year ago that Yemaya has my head and more recently that I’m a Dos Aguas. Your advice to us new babies brought me to tears. Your story, love, & reverence to Mami moved me ocean deep, tsunami style 🌊 May Yemaya continue to bless your life, as your words have certainly been a blessing to mine. Modupe’O Iya & Baba 🤍🧜🏽♀️
As a child of yemoja that was born under osa meji I can't wait too hear everything you guys have too say you are always so insightful your channel was one of the things made me realize it was time to go find elders and start learning about myself and the culture
Thank you for responding it means alot and sounds like I need too find a beach😂 and that sounds familiar I believe you spoke alittle about this in a previous episode
Alafia 🙌🏽 I am a child of yemoja 🥰 I love this interview, her whole life story and journey reminds me of mine ❤ my name is ifajemilusi which means Ifa allows me to have prosperity 🙌🏽
TY BABA! for all your hard work on this podcast! I relate to her so much and literally everything she talked about. I have a similar story from having a dream prior to my mano ceremony. I had a dream of yemaya and oya fighting over me, and that came out during my mano, ocha and Iyanifa ceremonies.. it was told to me that Oya has been with me my whole life due to a lot of trauma that I experienced!! my hubby actually introduced me to ifá We were best friends first for 2years, then fell in love even though he always loved me lol he is a shango! We definitely have a typical shango/yemaya relationship lol I have been able too to see spirit since I was old enough to talk being a muertera from birth I used to read people in psychic fairs prior to ifá! (My side gig .. pediatric nurse by day i call my patients my kids lol) My relationship with my Eggun has been the leading force in my life! Maferefun Eggun!! When I was younger all I wanted in life was to be a mother having a son at 22 y/o (he is Obatala and has special needs which ironically Obatala is who protects special needs children) I grew up in a carnival due to my parents owning one so I to have a very entrepreneurship spirit, always thinking of new ways to make money since I was a kid! And I was always fighting & super hotheaded in my youth! I always am “helping” people & animals sometimes at my own detriment but I never regret it to be blessed to be a blessing to others!! & we are water ,powerful enoguh to drown you, soft enough to cleanse you, deep enough to save you! Maferefun yemaya!!! Always loved the beach & water since a child all my life going there to tell her my problems but I love that quote! Asé O!! Loved this interview! And your pod baba ! Thank you! May Olodumare continue to bless you, your beautiful wife and children! You should do a pod about Ifá & Oduduwa bc he is popz but B4 ocha I never knew he existed! Asé O! 💕 Iyanifa Akinyode Omi Lefun
I truly enjoyed this interview. It’s the best one that I’ve seen. Maybe because I love me some Yemaya and this beautiful child of Yemaya’s explanations were so clear and relatable. Loved it. That said, I truly would like to why people in the religion always assume a light skinned or mixed raced person is a child of Oshun. This must be a new thing because before the slave trade or at the inception of Ifa, those people were BLACk, not light skinned or mixed raced. Black Africans. For me, when I envision the orishas, they are all dark skinned, every last one. I really wish this idea of being light skinned equating to Oshun would end. It’s giving colonial mindset or the idea that beauty equals light skinned. The most beautiful and truest form of Oshun that I have seen in life and dreams are dark skinned women. Oshun is not a “mulatta”. She’s African.
