    Thank you. No one ever told me I could leave the cap on and then inhale instead of trying to do it all at the same time.

    Hi, Doesn't the medicine stick to the chamber walls?

    • @pulmonaryrehab
      @pulmonaryrehab  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Nick, it’s possible that a small amount may stick but if done properly you will get almost all of it into your lungs. If you need any instructions, please schedule a free consultation with David. Here’s the link: calendly.com/pulmonaryrehab

    Can you use the same spacer for 2 different inhalers? Or do I have to use a clean spacer for another inhaler?

    • @pulmonaryrehab
      @pulmonaryrehab  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on the type of medications. Feel free to schedule a FREE Zoom call so we can discuss this further or if you need any help with breathing, posture, exercises and/or chronic pain. Here's the link: calendly.com/pulmonaryrehab/15min

    I have been told that I don't need a spacer for my inhaler.

    • @pulmonaryrehab
      @pulmonaryrehab  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, thank you for your comment! A spacer isn’t required for everyone. It helps people who have difficulty coordinating the timing or physical actuation of the inhaler. Do you use your inhaler easily and effectively? If so you may not need the spacer. This video explains that: th-cam.com/video/yPiPg1VSDuA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=s--5FmyA38MQNihg

    Thank you. My spacer did not come with a cap for the mouth piece, for either end. Is it incomplete? I guess keep it in a zip bag.

    • @pulmonaryrehab
      @pulmonaryrehab  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's odd, maybe ask the supplier for a new one with a cap. Yes, you want it covered to prevent dust and dirt from getting inside so in a zip bag should be good for now.

    If i have to inhale twice, what time interval should i wait before inhaling the second one. How many times can i wash the spacer, and how long should i wait for it to dry up before using it.

    • @pulmonaryrehab
      @pulmonaryrehab  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great questions! If you need to take a second puff with your MDI spacer, wait about 30 seconds to 1 minute before inhaling again. This allows the medication to work better by opening your airways for the next dose. As for cleaning the spacer, you should wash it at least once a week or whenever it gets dirty. After washing, let it air dry completely before using it again, which might take several hours. Using a wet spacer can affect how the medication is delivered, so it’s a good idea to have a backup spacer ready 😊

    Thanks for making these videos. I have a dry inhaler Air duo can't use a spacer. I take a deep breath bend over and breath out when I am coming up breath in inhaler is this incorrect?

    • @pulmonaryrehab
      @pulmonaryrehab  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello, great question! Try to sit or stand in a relaxed position with a straight body and level chin. Blow out gently to empty your lungs, hold your breath for 1-2 seconds then simultaneously breathe in while inhaling the medication. Bending over can restrict your breathing 😮‍💨
      Feel free to schedule a complimentary consultation and I’ll show you in more detail 😊

    Does anyone breath back into the spacer then rebreath it? I was told you could do that to rebreath the med

    • @pulmonaryrehab
      @pulmonaryrehab  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, great question! There’s usually a one way valve that allows you to breathe in but not out with it. It’s designed to keep the medication in the spacer until you take the next dose (inhalation). I hope this helps 😊

    How often do you need to wash it out?

    • @pulmonaryrehab
      @pulmonaryrehab  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Usually it is recommended to clean it once per week.
