  • A long long time ago... no wait, 3 years ago I made a mistake replacing bearings in my snowmobile, and I've been riding it that way anyway, taking my chances that it held together.

Hello can you please tell me how did you aligned the chaincase back? After removing the chaincase I have trouble to return it back I see I need almost 1 cm to back lower bearing and 1 cm away from the 3 bolts that lock rear part od the chaincase..sorry for my bad English.. Thank you in advance

@@nikolanikolov1129 All I can really offer is to check that the drive axle is able to slide all the way through the lower bearing and check that the upper jackshaft bearing is letting the jackshaft through the bearing. The track may be pulling on it enough to throw the alignment off, make sure the track is loose and not hanging on the drive axle with too much weight. Make sure your brake rotor splines line up with the jackshaft splines. Study it carefully to see where it is stuck.

Did you put the bearings in backwards?
The original orange sealed set only had seals on the outside of the case, & were open to the lube on the chain side of the case - but when you installed the "new" ones you could see the blue seals were to the chain side which would keep lube from getting to the bearings and possibly allow debris/snow to get into the back side of the open bearing if they weren't double sealed style?

These bearings are double sealed, but I know how the original design used the chain case lube for the bearings too. Good eye.

I'm quite certain your opening breaches TH-cam copyright laws . Cut the shit and get to the meat of why we're here.

The beginning of this video is a parody of the beginning of Star Wars, a movie in case you haven't seen it. The meat of the video is about replacing a part of my snowmobile that I damaged when upgrading the bearings. I bought a used replacement part and swapped it out with the damaged one. This video shows how to remove and install the chain case that drives the rubber track.

@@contact4mwy7 I get that and at the risk of sounding like an asshat you were talking way too much. Not meaning to be rude. Just too many people doing it wrong. Either music playing in the background with no verbal..or..too much verbal lol
