Man, the "pas de deux" from Swan Lake feels like it populates ALL MY LIFE and all the different lives of many people I've been in contact with, melding their real lived lives with their idealized, dreamed, growing up kind of idealized lives.... To think that music composed so many decades ago truly encapsulate that feeling to this day - what else is there to listen to. :)
All gorgeous dancers. I am constantly amazed by Plisetskaya. She is fearless with her stylistic choices and relevant athleticism. She takes whatever score she is dancing too and makes it fit her internal score. I relate to Luca Lacarra's ornamental style. Very roccoco. Very Italian. A sugar cube in one's prosecco, corn flakes in one's cafe latte. Italians love to 'gild the lily' as it were.
