There are numerous reasonS as to ' Y ' I like hearing what you have to say about fragrances. 1. where do you find all these fragrances - it is nice to see the diversity. 2. there are enough and some of QUALITY fragrances - even if they are a pocket hole burner. 3. most of your fragrances are top quality 4. your knowledge and honest opinion are beneficial 5. now that I;m erring more and more into up market niche fragrances it is beneficial to hear a first hand experienced view or review. Thank you. p.s. it is nice that you have guests now and again. it aids to have it be more human.

Nicolai Patchouli Intense, yes, yes, yes, = geranium = gorgeous. Patchouli in a woodland forest. You might also want to try Vie de Chateau for that beautiful Nicolai hay/herbal affect. Now I'm going to have to find Psychedelique.....darn you both!!!
Sebastian,did not mean to disrespect you in the last comment .My research on SMN was your tour of the house which was over the top and my second purchase was Tabacco Toscano,based on your most vesitile fragrance list. These were not sampled,as those are not available. You two,,and those two Fragrances are major investments for me, and I could not be happier,I don't recommend not sampling for anyone. The level of your expertise is the best I've seen.I know you like Javoy but I have a budget and Javoy samples are available, and I have LaLiurgie,but got Oud Al SAHRAA at the same time,which is a totally different scent altogether,I'm gravitating towards colognes, however SMN patcholy seems pretty potent.
Wow. I don't like patchouli as dominant note in fragrances but Jovoy - Psychedelique is the only one I really love. Dirty, complex & intellectual fragrance. Well deserved first place. Thank you for this video.

Sebastian of all those pachoulis I only own one but its the Number 1 Jovoy. I wear it and I eat deserts all day. Chocalate cake to the extreme. My wife thought i had a box of pastries in the back seat of my car. Ivexplained to her thats its my, she had a look of puzzlement on her face. I love this stuff!Thanks to you I purchased it and I got it cheap for $108 a full 100ml.
I finally found the time to watch another one of your collaborations with Dalya, the long awaited Patchouli episode. It was a very enjoyable video as always, but now I really have to try Psychedelique. It sounds so amazing!
Nicely done...what a list, I haven't smelled any of those! I remember falling in love with the smell of patchouli (before I knew what it was) when I was a 13 year old yewt in the early 70's. Gastown and Kitsilano n Vancouver smelled of it--the hippie days, head shops and underground comic book stores. Haha! At the time I thought people wore 'patch' to cover up the marijuana odour...smelled it a lot in the halls and classrooms of Port Moody Junior High School! I like Tom Ford - Patchouli Absolu and your recommendation Yves Roche - Nouveau Genre.
Nice video 😍 I never tried Patchouli before i got a sample of Profumum Roma Patchouli. OMG its good,goes a little gourmand, chocolate..And it have performance for days ...2 spray and i can smell it the day after,after shower .And on shirt for days
Finally i tested Nicolai Parfums in Lisbon which i found the store accidentally. They are great and patchouli intense is the best patchouli i ever smelled, unfortunately they did not have a 30 ml available which is a plus from Nicolai, so as soon i got in Milan i did a small research and i got one through internet because unfortunately i can not find a store with Nicolai parfums here in Milan.

A very nice upscale patchouly, but a bit reminiscent of Tempo by Diptyque, which, to me, is done better. I believe PI is discontinued or about to be discontinued. So says a Chanel rep..
I used to hate patchouli and I found a patchouli black plum candle that I fell absolutely in love with and it turned me into a huge fan of patchouli now.
I got a Patchouli Antique by Les Néreides on the recommendation of one of you two’s patchouli videos. I thought it said “patch ho” in the title but can’t find it.. Anyway it opened up pure patchouli but dried down kinda musty and too much vanilla. I want to find a patchouli I love- maybe I should try psychadelique..
Well it was interesting to find out about all this Patchouli fragrances.. but that only one I have that may be compare to the ones you just talked about is "Boss the Collection Cashmere Patchouli" and for me is just an amazing cologne than it only comes in a 50ml bottle Eau de Toilette. Maybe you could comment in this one sometime if you haven't done already. Take care.

Happy Anniversary! Love this duo! I too may be a Patch Hoe! Who knew?!!? I currently have Le Labo’s Patchouli, Nishane’s Patchouli Koza & Monegu. Monegu is my SOTD. I am just getting used to this on my skin and am so amused by the different reactions. My first reaction is that it may be too spicy and feminine for me. The compliments I receive however range from smoky to patchouli. I have to admit that I am enjoying the warm, cozy, boozy feel/smell on the dry-down. I’ll definitely wear it again tomorrow

Some new ones in there I need to try, monsieur, Coromandel are magnifico and that patchouli intense really is a beast on me I think its the aromatic notes in it that really project off of skin.
Another great list! And I didn't know about Metallica either! Yes, I really adore a good, sweetish, chocolatey patchouli. The Jovoy is excellent as is the PdH Dark Patchouli. And yes, Coromandel is a classic! And Hermetica is a great new house, their perfumes don't utilize alcohol as an agent, so one gets just the perfume oils. Great stuff. Thanks!

I still go for a dark aged patchouli oil, and layer it with whatever. I just love it so much. I like lighter patches too, but not as much. I am mostly an amber girl though, so I think I need to smell Patchouli leaves by Montale and Mediterranean breeze.

Sampled many before viewing this video and Psychodelique was my favorite. At first Spray I smelled chocolate mint patties but when that settled down I loved it….perfection. Many perfumes bother me after wearing a few hours but I enjoyed wearing this one all day, yummy!

Elixir is the watered down version of previous Inoubliable Élixir Patchouli. Both are more powdery Orientals than the original patchouli from Reminiscence
Would it be redundant to purchase Reminiscence Patchouli if I already have Psychedelique. You two always speak highly of RP( starred bottle) but I don’t want to waste coins👍🏾

Wow! Just rediscovered Smelling Great Fragrances when I saw Dayla,fell hard and fast ,and watched all your collaborations. Was intrigued by Dalya's mention of a bar of Soap from Santa Maria Novella. The Aetherealist further intrigued me enough to do some research,and SMN is in my collection.Patch has a bad rap. No fragrance is supposed mask bad hygeine,or smoking.Just sayin.

Tempo is my favourite gourmand patchouli.
It’s almost drinkable to me, love it!! Sophisticate and decent dry down, incredible longevity as well.

Dior Patchouli Imperial ... I had no idea what patchouli is but when I sniff this fragrance I had to have it.

I think you missed one ; ) Profumum Roma - Patchouly, not only a great patch fragrance but also an ambree to die for.
We didn't miss it I def do know about it. But we don't own it! ;)
@@ThePerfumeGuy Ohhh, its so good, like Grand Soir with an adequate dose of patchouly. Try it , its one you would like.
Oh yes I know about this one I know and love the brand I just don't have it. I have over 35 bottles of patchouli perfumes and that's not one of them sadly! :(

I'm surprised Montale Vetiver and Patchouli did not make top 20.. it's new, and beautiful.
We took it off as we already had a Montale on the list! We specifically mentioned in the video we are only featuring one fragrance from each brand! And Patchouli Leaves won! :)
Psychedelique was also my favourite patchouli until I tried Classic Patchouli by Von Eusersdorff. You should check it out :)

Sampled many before viewing this video and Psychodelique was my favorite. At first Spray I smelled chocolate mint patties but when that settled down I loved it….perfection. Many perfumes bother me after wearing a few hours but I enjoyed wearing this one all day, yummy!

Thanks for the updated review, must look up and watch the original too. By chance I'm wearing Elixir Patchouli today . Does anyone know the difference between that one, and Inoubliable Elixir Patchouli plus the original Patchouli (Reminiscence) that made it to the new top 20 list?
Elixir is the watered down version of previous Inoubliable Élixir Patchouli. Both are more powdery Orientals than the original patchouli from Reminiscence

Wow! Just rediscovered Smelling Great Fragrances when I saw Dayla,fell hard and fast ,and watched all your collaborations. Was intrigued by Dalya's mention of a bar of Soap from Santa Maria Novella. The Aetherealist further intrigued me enough to do some research,and SMN is in my collection.Patch has a bad rap. No fragrance is supposed mask bad hygeine,or smoking.Just sayin.

Can you rec a good bay rum w/ patch? I tried St. John's Cutlass which I liked but I found it to be too sweet.

@@ThePerfumeGuy yeah I haven't tried much at all but I'm definitely hunting down a sample of the Frederick Malle stuff! I just know my favorite was cheap burt's bees bay rum and they don't make it anymore.
