I just wanna pro-jeckt! Ten feet for Fracas?! Wow! Wish I had tried the vintage bottle, have only worn the current formulation. And Ivoire is a truly gorgeous fragrance. I once read Audrey Hepburn wore it, so I snagged a vintage bottle. But now I really want to try the Rodkin Gothic. I mean, how can I not dig smelling patchouli cookies, or to be encased in patchouli armor? Yep, I also dig a solid sillage, a nice scent bubble that leaves a solid trail of a few feet. Great list, thanks!
As always great review and collaboration Sebastian. I bought portrait of a lady because of you. It is marvelous although I do not feel the huge sillage. Hopefully as the bottle gets old it could be better. BTW, I have other bottles that improved greatly the sillage and longevity with age. Regards from Mexico.

I love Dalya. Gothic II is one of the best Patchouli scents i have smelled. Loree Rodkin also has Gothic 1 witch is similar. i got the samples at Lucky scent in LA.
I have Oud Immorotale , Musc Ravageur and Noir Patchouli I do like Hindu Grass . It's on my list. Has been for awhile now though. Going to check out Loree Rodkin Gothic ll Red Tobacco 😯😬😉
Hindu Grass by Nasomatto has been discontinued. I live in Amsterdam and it’s no where to be found. From what I understand it has to do with some of the ingredients/Regulations or availability.
OMG, Dalya. Loree Rodkin's Gothic II? 🤩 I SO want that fragrance! And/or Gothic I. Those two scents are reputed to be patchouli bombs. Love love love patchouli.🌿 I also have Robert Piguet's Casbah...still in hibernation. Have not tried it yet. You and Sebastian are magical as usual. 😎

Not my pesonality (I thought at that time), so I gave the bottle to a friend who can't stand strong perfumes. Perhaps, she still have the bottle. I'll ask her... In 2015, I bought "Ivoire" (EDP) 39 euros on a discount beauty wellknown site in France. "Fracas" from Robert Piguet: this bottle is so gorgeous.

BALMAIN - IVOIRE was a favourite of mine in the 80s. I was 20 and all alone in London, no friends and just starting out. FFW 30 years and I'm old and once again on my own, I feel the need to wear it to remind me to have faith in myself. I may have bagged myself a small bottle 7.5 ml size, the only perfume which is similar is Sisley;s Soir De Lune.
On me, Amouage Reflection Man is a real beast....Montale mukhallat is also a real killer, but nothing come close to Joop! Homme... this stuff is nuclear....

Sebastian, I wonder if you could research into a 70s fragrance call “Eve” I used to wear this as a teenager and was curious to know what the notes were and if it has influenced my choices in fragrances today. Other request is the closest fragrance to summer Coppertone Sun Lotion and one that smells like Nag Champa incense. :)

I just wanted to let you know that in Germany it‘s still widely available (at least in Berlin you can find it at almost every shop) Additionally I wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos :) and even though I‘m 19 years old I‘d love to learn more .. maybe also about perfumes appropriate for my age because I often get the comment I smell too mature :)
Agree relating with Dior homme parfum, i never liked the dior line and i saw it when first came out in early 2000's if iam not wrong, i bought the parfum almost 2 years ago because of Sebastian and i love it.
My first love and my biggest love, in the world of niche fragrances; Portrait Of A Lady❤️ But on me it is not a sillage monster... Hardly any fragrance is. It is such a shame! Xerjoff More Than Words lasts on my skin. Any suggestions on something similar that could stay on skin for a looong time? Thank you for having such great taste - and sharing it with us!
Byredo Oud Immortel (niche) = Paco Rabanne Black XS, which is the best men's perfume in the world created ever. No other fragrance is as much compliment magnet as Black XS. I don't know the current formulation. But what I have since 2004-05 is absolutely the biggest crowd pleasing, head turner, modern/ state of the art and manly fragrance created in the world up to now. With only 3 sprays the person leaves the room, the scent bubble will be there for few hours. it moves with the person who wears it. Oud immortel is the cousin brother. But there's no perfume in the world that can supersede Black XS, No. No perfume in the world is as good as Black XS. I am happy that Byredo did the Oud Immortel, the reminiscence of Black XS. Thanks for the review.
Paco Rabanne that one is most favourite perfume. I cannot hold emotions whilst writing comments. Oud Immortel is really a wonderful creation. It’s really comfortable and longlasting fragrance.💖💖💖
They say it’s impolite to leave a trail and make a presence with a scent. But I don’t care. I prefer some people to think I’m rude than none of them notice me at all. Some people wear flashy clothes. I prefer to wear classic stuff and make people notice me by wearing some niche juice.

I am starting in this whole niche fragrance venture and honestly I can't tell patchouli in a fragrance if it hit me in the face.....How the heck do I learn to identify different scents??????? I've tried Portrait of a Lady and I thought it was too feminine with too strong a rose note. Note I like a lot of unisex fragrances aimed towards women Shalimar and Tom Fords Black Orchid to name a few.. I also like a lot of Rose scents. Would love Portrait on my wife but she thinks it smells to much like old ladies. Ha.
I was like laughing out loud with the guy in the elevator story. I remember very recently, my boyfriend and I were in line for Friday's and there are these guys before us and they reek BO. Like straight up BO. Jesus. My boyfriend stayed close to me and kept smelling my scent as I wore Pure Havane then. Thank God for perfumes, eh?
