And yes, many speak English, we might not know each and every word or phrase, we might be slow to speak English, but it's enough to figure out what you want and help you to find what you need ;-) And if you are traveling, especially in tourist places, they speak some languages, the local language and English and maybe other languages like French (especially near France of course). In some countries it helps if you speak the language a little bit (in France for example) and then they help and suddenly they also speak English ;-) Speaking is key. Then everyone knows what's going on and it's all right. And yes, if you live in a country (it's not just a travel), it helps in your daily life if you speak the language.

There is no permanently dark side of the moon. Every new moon is black facing us, because the side facing the sun is fully illuminated. There is a "far side" of the moon.
