The irony is Rachel was actually the most likable member of the Wilsons, they are all absolutely terrible. I don't mean "terrible but still loveable" like the Wattersons, they are the absolute worst. Yet Rachel, the one character to have redeeming quality by drawing our sympathy when her friends stood her up and thanked Darwin for helping her, was the one axed.
Maybe that was the point, they didn't want any of the Wilsons be likable.
Well, I don't think the point is Rachel not been "likable", is because they got nothing interesting for her to do. That's always seems to be the problem for a redeeming character in the show. Once they complete their character arc, they don't have much left for the show to gave their any development.

Given how self-aware the show is and makes points in later seasons to establish that the world is literally set within a TV show, there's a good opportunity for her to come back and take revenge on the show or staff. Especially with a concept as creative as the Void which we're still expecting to see again. Maybe she could usurp Rob as the final villain or get the show cancelled. I'm at least expecting something REALLY meta in the finale.
Or better yet: team up with Rob.
But yes, I get the point of her being the final boss but then again, It would be interesting to see how she will upstage Rob when Rob LITERALLY killed Gumball's family and ruined the entire life of Gumball single handedly (albeit with the power of the remote)

@@MicroBihon Rob's plans are aimed against Gumball specifically - he's been trying to remove Gumball from the show or get him replaced as the central character. A villainous Rachel could one-up him by trying to get the show cancelled (and succeed in some way if it's the final episode) because she's angry about not being in it any more, which threatens not just Gumball but everyone in Elmore. In effect, world domination vs world destruction. Don't know if the writers had the same idea but it'd be a really cool way to end the show whilst also looking back to its early days.

Actually he was set up from the start. All of robs appearances and lines were having to do with Darwin and Gumball always forgetting who he was, all that set him up as a forgettable character thus putting him into the void because of that

She probably did get in the void. After all, she was disliked, and then just disappeared. In a way similar to what happened to Molly, and since she didn’t have much of a role in the first place, nobody noticed
In the second episode of Darwin's yearbook it's mentioned that she went to college. Even if that was a lie, she wouldn't be in the void since they remembered her name
Molly had a supporting role in the first season, appearing in almost all episodes the one way or the other. Then in season 2 she appeared in some photos and then gone till season 3 episode 12 The Void
That was a interesting video you made. Rachel is one of those characters that I though would have a important role in the show, perhaps her being a love interest for darwin, or maybe just having darwin be like a mentor for her so she can develop more. I don’t mind darwin x carrie, don’t get me wrong. But I feel that would’ve been a good opportunity to happen in the show.

She seemed funny enough to be on the show, but I didn't really notice her dissapearence until now, I though she was standing in the back or something but nope, she wasn't, they could make an interesting episode with her comeback, but I think the series final season it almost finished, so if they wanted to do something with her, they probably already done it or never will.

the party was my first tawog episode, so i really do miss her. i can think of a lot of ideas for episodes she could’ve been part of! like giving tobias a hard time or being jealous of carrie or just gossiping with leslie and masami

Basically all of Earth has been totally ditched from the show for a while. Even dimensional travel, which used to be the show's main gimmick, is rarely used, and never the focal point of the episode. It's a bit bittersweet for me, because I really enjoyed that stuff, but the show is also quite a good political drama now, somehow? I dunno
