I’ve always had a theory in the back of my mind that Gumball is either a simulation turned into a sitcom, or a sort of Truman Show parody on a universal scale. Sarah is a pretty key component to this line of thinking because of some of the things she says. She’s clearly somewhat aware that they’re living in a world that’s controlled/manipulated by higher forces in order to serve as a sitcom for others. She outright says “another important part to play in the grand sitcom that is life!” (10:23 in the video if you want to see it). She’s among the few characters in the TAWOG universe that’s either aware of or somewhat aware of the fact that they’re in a fake/manipulated world. The only others I can think of off the top of my head are Rob, the Awesome Store vender (of course the guy who sells objects that alter the fabric of reality is going to know that reality isn’t exactly real, he probably somehow stole them from the showrunners to cause havoc), and maybe Banana Barbara to an extent. Mr. Small seemed to be on his way to figuring it out but he got that idea sucked out of his head. And of course Gumball and Darwin have ALMOST figured it out several times, but each time have been interrupted before they could connect the dots.
I’ve met someone like Sarah-she was obsessive, stalked me both online and in person, she followed me around everywhere and would threaten to hurt herself if I didn’t live up to whatever fantasy she had of me. She would always bake me things and give weird hints as if they were drugged? I never ate anything she made for that reason, and I still have a hard time eating homemade food now. I don’t like watching episodes where Sarah is in focus cause it reminds me so much of her. It was hell, I’m glad she’s out of my life now.

I’ve always had a theory in the back of my mind that Gumball is either a simulation turned into a sitcom, or a sort of Truman Show parody on a universal scale. Sarah is a pretty key component to this line of thinking because of some of the things she says.
She’s clearly somewhat aware that they’re living in a world that’s controlled/manipulated by higher forces in order to serve as a sitcom for others. She outright says “another important part to play in the grand sitcom that is life!” (10:23 in the video if you want to see it).
She’s among the few characters in the TAWOG universe that’s either aware of or somewhat aware of the fact that they’re in a fake/manipulated world. The only others I can think of off the top of my head are Rob, the Awesome Store vender (of course the guy who sells objects that alter the fabric of reality is going to know that reality isn’t exactly real, he probably somehow stole them from the showrunners to cause havoc), and maybe Banana Barbara to an extent. Mr. Small seemed to be on his way to figuring it out but he got that idea sucked out of his head. And of course Gumball and Darwin have ALMOST figured it out several times, but each time have been interrupted before they could connect the dots.
