Alien Works I was watching the video again. I was wondering why before loosening the mud guard he loosens the pivot bolt for the rear fork assemble. When he does this it serves no purpose. You would do this if the left and right fork are independent of each other and you were going to remove the right fork only. This would allow the left wheel spindle ( red loctite) nut to left alone supporting the motor and wire by the left fork and because the wheel can be split you don't need to remove the brake caliper.
Great job Calvin! The first part where you loosen the arms is really important. I know I didn't do this when I changed the Mantis tires and it was a pain getting things back on afterwards.
Trouble getting the wheel back on is where I had trouble which led me to find this video. If I watched this first would of saved a lot of curses. Thanks 🙏
Interesting, it wasn't clear as to 'why' the arms were loosened in the vid clip. Actually, even after reading these comments (& before starting) I still don't get it ...🤔🤔
This was instrumental in helping me. I have the mantis v2 from fluid freeride and even though there are some differences, it's about 90% the same. Thank you thank you thank you!
You can also take off just the right side of the swingarm and save all that extra work of taking off the brake. Also, the bolts that hold the two halves together are easier to break loose before you start disassembling the rest.
I was able to take out the nuts on each side on my Wolf Warrior X by myself. Yeah it was a little tough but needed no help. Glad they didn't put as much loctite on my as they did in yours.
@@AlienWorks thanks! I already upgraded the brakes to ceramic pads. So much better! Besides my tires, my last upgrade will be an LG battery but I can't find one that isn't the price of a new scooter, lol. I guess I'll wait for now.
Thanks so much for this video. I was struggling to get the wheel off and didn't realize I had to loosen the suspension parts. I have red loctite with me so I'll be sure to apply it sparingly.
Oh so you need to run the wires through a new stem? It's possible, but it may take a bit of disconnecting wires that go into the deck, and maybe even re-soldering. Where are you located? We can also do this work in the SF Bay Area for you.
@@AlienWorks would love to bring it to you guys and see Bay Area but unfortunately I’m from London uk so won’t be able to get to Bay Area anytime soon lol
@@CAZruns hi mate, i got my mantis after i visited london and saw a group of lads on very high power scooters going past even cars. At the time i had a little pure air scooter with so many frustrations and i knew then that it was time to upgrade haha. I can help if you still need this doing im in birmingham
Hey guys! Thank you for a great vid!! One question... I upgraded to 3" street tires for the 2.5 that came with my new Kaabo Mantis Pro SE. The 3" tires came with inner tubes, which was nice. BUT, I'm curious... they came with 2.5 inch inner tubes. Is that the correct size? They seemed to fit well, and the scooter rides well currently, but I haven't had the chance to really put it to the test yet. (I'm in NYC and its just too crappy out on the roads right now to pop this cherry lol) I'd like to purchase spares for the obvious reasons. Just want to make sure I have the correct size on deck!
Inner tubes generally can swing a half inch in either direction so it should be totally fine assuming you inflate it to whatever the tire says, probably around 40 psi.
@@AlienWorks No your shop will be famous. Keep up the amazing work! If anyone is reading this and needs a repair or mod done head down to Alien rides shop in SF!!!
Hmm, that sounds like a tough problem. You should be able to split the rim after removing all of the bolts. Maybe try splitting it with a tire spoon? Good luck!
i got it to a bicycle repairman. he finally got to split the rim. it was really really stuck. that was the issue. we split it by hammering a bit in between with a flat screwdriver.
Your mech is kinda rough on paint huh. He didn’t mark where the valve was located in regards to the tire. If there had still been what ever punctured the tube in the first place still in the tire it would have wrecked the new tube and he wouldn’t have known where it was in the tire. He should have filled the tire first with air to verify the repair. Let the air out and then slime and refill after the wheel is reinstalled. Awesome video but you need a better mech.
Thanks for stopping by for this video on changing a flat tire on the Kaabo Mantis. Subscribe for more repair and mod videos!

Man I remember when my mantis was this fresh
I have a Mantis base and plan on switching the tires to the 3" wide ones. Thank you for the video! It will help when I have to do the job.
Awesome, sounds like a nice mod. Good luck!

Very good for one of your first repair videos.
Thanks, lots more coming and we’ll get better.
Can you change the tires for self-healing tires. Because if you can it would be perfect
Alien works do you know how to re wire this scooter after fitting upgraded pole ?

I need an inner tube for a mantis 8 can someone help me out I can’t find the tube it uses to order it
Can you change my Mantis pro tires to Solid 10.25 tires?
I think we chatted online, but we can definitely do that if you want!

Obviously red loctite on the nut is bad, what about blue?
I think blue is generally fine to use, much easier to remove when needed.
I hate inner tube. They should do it with tubeless. Inner tube easily get flat.
I can’t understand Calvin.....
Yeah, we'll work on getting better mic for the future.
hello. how do i remove this motor? i removed those 6 screws but the motor is stuck. see this picture. i.ibb.co/x11H0J5/motor.jpg
