I can watch this session on loop for hours. Incredible surfing. Nic claims it was one of his best surfing days so I claim that too even though I wasn't anywhere near there. Ha. Sounds like you owned the spot by everybody's comments on the boat.
Portugal's Finest.....not just the wine that travels well....the side view from the channel is mind blowing enough, then you see it front on, the wave around 13.30 that section that comes over him whilst still deep in the section before would vapourise most humans....the only session that comes close to me for this level of flawless barrels riden over and over again is the JOB episode years ago when Jamie surfs HUGE Nias....that is about as good as a surf could ever be....bet some Bintangs were drunk that night...você é uma lenda ( you fukin legend )..
Great see it without any music! Is someone driving you back to the point or you had to paddle back every time? The sheer amount of barrel time for one day is absurd !
Notice most of the time he takes off no one is near him. That’s because 1. He’s put in the time and knows the takeoff spot better than anyone out there and 2. That’s how you get waves like that, he’s committing to being under the ledge, not out on the shoulder. Look at that wave where he’s in the pack, everyone is half paddling for it , he takes it right in the middle of them because the don’t really want it!
Not sure about that…surfed deserts plenty but never kandui….kandui looks heavier and more challenging to me, aside from the end section at deserts…..but this dude also has that wave diealed
