Why the hell is this the absolute best channel on the bloody internet? No matter what you review you always have me intrigued and once its finished I feal happy with it. So thank you for entertaining us since your channel has been created. So thank you, very very much...
Drums heavy as hell, or that's what I think from the intro. Also, I love the way he reviews things, he just...gets you hooked immediately. Stay awesome ✌
wish you did some hand hits, because the sound is very different when struck with fingers. Also played in the lap is more common and that effects the sound as well
I know I'm 2 years late after this video but, you should make a video number two about this drum. Specifically recording via the output vs your studio mic... Is the native pick up on that drum better or is a studio mic better? That could be a big make or break buying point for this drum. And I'd love to know if that things native pickup is any good. Would love to have you record some audio and compare them.
Wow i seriously HAVE TO HAVE this lol I just ordered a custom drum ab a month ago and im a newbie so i went for what seemed right... And after seeing this and checking out the other Merch.. Yea I am going to be getting one for sure. Good lookin out friend. Light to you and all reading this. 😎✌
Oh yeah I might explain that I took my tongue drum which didn’t have an output but I hooked it up to my bark is buriey Transducer then ran that through my paddleboard to the app very crazy if I could change the key though to minor and back to major on the fly that would be cool
Me too!!! I heard a person playing one (thought I'd died and gone to heaven) LOL!!! but was in a rush and later that day tried to track down that specific toned instrument and failed. This one "seems" close but he played it two quickly for a not musically gifted person to tell.
Check out the "Klangauge", tongue drum made in Germany. they developed a similar system with Magnet tuning. It doesn't have the option to plug it to an Amp, but in my opinion a way nicer Sound than the root and the main reason I got it is its possibility to be tuned in every scale you want to. It takes a bit time to figure out, how to use the different magnet sizes to tune it, but the big thing about the tuning is being able play along with every other Tongue drum after a short tuning session to aligne the instruments. www.klangauge.de Thaugt you cold be intrestet in knowing about another option to the Beat Root
Not that mich of a difference but HUGE difference in the emotion it puts out. Hense music is all about feel and subtleness.. These tongue drums are pretty incredible, but for me i dont like the minor sound pentatonic was even worse.. Happy major is definitely what this instrument was intended for.
But is this thing tuned to 432Hz? I'd prefer it to be tuned to 432Hz as it should be. Not really feeling comfortable with buying instruments that are locked to 440Hz.
Makes me wonder if French kissing is still a thing? Or human society just switching to inatimate objects? This is different versions of steel, tibet glass etc, Why the hell is it called tongue drum...
0/5 Do not recommend. That sustain is good for meditative use. But percussive use cases make me shudder from the conflicting tonality. All over-tones seem lost in the ringing echo. Perhaps if someone with a high degree of proficiency were demonstrating this product I might have given it 3/5. Sorry chaps. Better save your beans for a proper handpan from PANart.
Please gauge the other ear man it’s driving me crazy I was going to do one but couldn’t so I did both I mean I never knew how bad one gauge would look 😂 I love you man but honestly is key.
We've changed our weekly upload time to 2pm BST, so you get new videos 4 hours earlier!
What a nice melodic roomba
Ima noob to music sooo
Oh wait im stupid
😂
🤣😂

Oh man, that's awesome to hear! Thanks a lot for your comment :)
Fun!
Yes...Minor sounds 'dark' or 'mysterious' more descriptive than 'sad'. So glad you mentioned that in the video
Looks like a really nice drum all round. Neat how you can use magnets to change the sound, you can do the same on the kalimba.
Yes, that's true! Not many people know this.
I love how you say "This sounds bloody lovely!" 3:35
You should market that to the companies who sell sound effects!
Another great idea!!!
That's beautiful, very loFi. Love to get stoned to the bone and just vibe like this
This channel deserves more subscribers
Thanks buddy :)

Thanks a lot buddy :)
That one is sooo awesome and sounds very mysterious and somber.
Great review!
Oh that sounds bloody beautiful mate
wish you did some hand hits, because the sound is very different when struck with fingers. Also played in the lap is more common and that effects the sound as well
Have you done a comparison between this and the 432hz version of the beat root tongue drum?

Someone needs to use one of these in a movie soundtrack.
Great idea!!!
2:48 i am in bed, it is 11:13pm, you gave me tingles down my back...amazing.
I read this and it's 11:13 pm and I'm in my bed
That’s really awesome that it comes with a carrying case.👍🏼
A wheelbarrow
I bet the export to amplifier could really drive my neighbors crazy.
I thought that you had to use your actual tounge but thank god that no
I mean, you could
_o h n o_
Me too and that's why I'm looking into the "tongue drum,"
The 2nd scale is c dorian

First video I’ve seen of you! I liked this video and your fun! I have subscribed looking forward to seeing others…
Don't like how it looks. It looks just like Eva from Wall-e or something straight out of an apple store
In my opinion in looks damn amazing
Funny seeing the types of people that play these & actually make videos of it. Theirs a certain zen yoga hippie rosta dreadlock tribal vibe going on..
Love a good mysterious scale! 😋
Your accent and videos give us *VIBE*
This drum reminds us that we are in the world of the future now.
5:43 Don't care, subscribed.
It would have been nice if you gave us an idea of what the price is
can only imagine what it would sound like putting it through different guitar (i.e. distortion) pedals
Plug it in a distorsion pedal please
I kid you not, we just recorded a video where we do just that
I like it. Where To BUY? How much it costs? Greetigs from Finland.
How do you like yours ?
Tongue drum but it's played with a tongue stick (aka a tongue)
So tell me about how I could obtain a drum just like that one you just showed me here ; BEAT ROOT , And how much is this one?
This one is $526
@@laurenholliday9862 it'd take me awhile to save up for that.
This is like dantdm x unboxing therapy. love it
Oh yeah I might explain that I took my tongue drum which didn’t have an output but I hooked it up to my bark is buriey Transducer then ran that through my paddleboard to the app very crazy if I could change the key though to minor and back to major on the fly that would be cool
Banging out the tunes
As always 👌
Yeah! Mysterious! Great content!
Thanks Chase! :)
Thanks for you video ... you make me to make desition buy this beautiful thing.... thanks again..xxx
I want to have one of these so badly.
Me too!!! I heard a person playing one (thought I'd died and gone to heaven) LOL!!! but was in a rush and later that day tried to track down that specific toned instrument and failed. This one "seems" close but he played it two quickly for a not musically gifted person to tell.
@juneking4512 I actually bought it a few years ago. It is really nice to be able to change the harmony. It also looks amazing.
That’s actually pretty nifty
I am going to buy one and see if it Djents
How much ?
I hope someone makes some spooky songs on that, sounded like ghosts in a haunted mansion type music :Oc
Sounds like someone just lost their family member and is bordering madness. But at least you can make that emotion "tribal".
Well that's ruddy mysterious.
How much do they cost?
How much this drum
SPREAD THIS CHANNEL OVER INTERNET PLS
ANYWAY IT SOUNDS LIKE GAMELAN

I tc
You didn't try overdrive with the amp :(
What’s a tongue drum and what does versatile mean
Not that mich of a difference but HUGE difference in the emotion it puts out. Hense music is all about feel and subtleness.. These tongue drums are pretty incredible, but for me i dont like the minor sound pentatonic was even worse.. Happy major is definitely what this instrument was intended for.
OKAY....Pentatonic scale and a Death Metal guitar pedal...GO! :D
Delay phase shifter even distortion you never know with paddles and affects what you could come up with
Spooky? Mysterious? Yep! Sounds like a minor scale! 😂😂
But is this thing tuned to 432Hz? I'd prefer it to be tuned to 432Hz as it should be. Not really feeling comfortable with buying instruments that are locked to 440Hz.
Review the Handpan!!
5:02 booooOOOOOooong!
I must have missed it in the vid... how much is this drum?
I wanna know this too. But I can't seem to find it. I keep getting redirected to Other Tongue/Hang-Drums on the Market. But Not this one.
Jamie Raisbeck about 500 bucks
Aw damn i wanted to hear the amp distortion on.
Try the kosmosky tongue drums.
How the hack the tuning works?! :o
It's a shame those are so expensive. I'd love one of those.....
How do i get that tongue drum
www.beatrootdrum.com/multiscale-tongue-drum#/67-colour-pre_order_black
Who would've thought you could whack a piece of metal with some padded mallets and get such a gorgeous sound?
My dumb ass thought it's played with your tongue...
Hey, we've all been there man
I would love to hear a rock drumbeat on the minor scale, just to see if it works
LOOTd can you check the instrument HANG out .it is a little bit another than a tank drum
it sounds like i would hear the "zen" scale in Your Turn To Die
Wow now that i bought one i want this one lol but i bet it’s an arm and a leg
why does the happy scale you played give me Minecraft vibes
beau~~~~~~~tiful~~~~~~~~~~~!!!!
My speakers don’t agree with this vid 😂
It would be good with a volume pedal or a wah wah!
Can’t all tongue drums be tuned? One can file the tongues to tune. It sounds beautiful! $560. is not a bad price.
The magnets are amazing but it does not sound like a drum. Handpan or RAV vast sounds much better.
It would have been nice if you played it with your hands just to give us an idea what it sounds like
Do British people call bandages plasters? I have heard other people call bandage-esque devices plasters
I want oneeee
BEETTTT ROOOTTTTTTT 🍠
Somebody say on here in the comments how much it cost so I don't have to look it up
bonjour mr pouriez vous paler en francais svp merci
nice idea, but sounds like a children's toy - try a RAV VAST or EOX!
💜💜💜💜
Soooooo are you looking to “donate” that drum to a good cause?? ME!!! Thank you 😊
Notice how no one thought you were funny
Oops. Drum sticks? Or mallets?
But I wanted to use my tongue.
You're supposed to be 10 feet away from an amp minimum.
Hmmm I’ll stick with my Rav vasts. 😉
Fair, they are pretty awesome!
Wow that waffle maker sounds quite luflay

Save your money and buy an eox or rav.

Are you kidding me $500. In January 2021 get out of here
