    I’ve been doing this for 5 weeks. I cannot get 96 oz of water down. Some days I drink more than others. But I drink quite a bit. I’m not able to drink green smoothies 24/7. I end up starving 9 pm. I’m eating a bowl of Raisin Bran tonight. I cannot drink a smoothie at night if I’ve been drinking it morning to dinner time. I’ve lost weight which is good. I have consistent energy. I feel good. I still have crazy pain in my back from arthritis but I’ll stick to this for a long time. I’m in it for the long haul. I just need to eat something besides kale fruit. If I do it 80 -90%. That’s a very good thing. I’m eating fruit like orange or a banana when I need something to fill me up during the day.

    Hi Dr G, appreciate your weekly Wednesdays and I like tuning in to learn everything you share. I’ve been drinking hyper nutrition smoothies since Aug 2023. Not because I’m dealing with sickness but because I really wasn’t eating nutritiously and I needed to change that, and also want to have a strong immune system. I have found that the smoothie and drinking water truly fills me up so much that I don’t feel hungry to eat anything else most of the time. Is that common with other people? I still have to prepare meals for husband but I really don’t eat much of that either, maybe just nibble a little, otherwise my tummy is full most of the day.

    Thank you sooooo much for the topics you covered today. I really needed the insight into how I might not be as on protocol as I think. And the reminders and emotional suggestions are also just what I need. I was doing great, then had shingles and flu vaccine, then lost all my energy, brain fog came back, fatigue was back. I also caught a virus while still recovering from vaccines. Was starting to improve and over extended doing my workouts and have had a cold, then it relapsed. I feel like I am back to square one, feeling all of my original symptoms. So the topics today were very helpful 😊💕. I needed the encouragement and reminders. I need to make some new “plans” for getting the protocol completely on track. Also need to figure out some self care solutions. Thank you again, you are amazingly generous with your time and I love your energy and emotional coaching. Love you and Thomas🤗😘💕

    I love this program and watching Dr. G most Wednesdays. I have learned so much! But I will say that I have not experienced that it gets easier after the first few weeks. I have not needed the program to reverse serious illness but have done the smoothies every day for hypernourishment. After 6 months I started to dread the smoothies. I have never been a 'smoothie person' but did it for all the good reasons that we hear from Dr. G. I tried to switch to salads/raw veg to replace some of the smoothies. But I live in Norway and our winter had been record tough this year and I just had to stop the smoothies as it was seriously affecting my outlook on life to the point that I would rather not eat then to have a smoothie.... Any tips on how to get around this?

    My friend gave me your book and started your smoothie last week of January until now. I lost 11 lbs so far. I couldn't believe it's that fast! I was diagnosed with cancer and will start radiation, I asked my oncologist what to eat and he replied whatever you want. 😮 I told him, I'm doing smoothie and he said that I need to eat more protein. Is it OK to still continue my smoothie. I still need to lost more weight.

    • @girlygirl1890
      @girlygirl1890 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @Manangdi I hope she answers you, however, if she doesn't I will give my input. Please do NOT expect your Doctor to give you any information regarding it's best to drink the smoothies. He won't. We all know that most Doctors will NEVER focus on the CORRECT nutrition to get better. They do not learn that in medical school, PLUS he wants to keep you coming back. My input for you is with your condition, keep keep keep keep taking the smoothies. It is paramount. If you can, try not to have ALOT of the "sweet" fruit in it. Sugar feeds cancer. Look it up. I know that fruit sugar is not as bad...but still (just in case). Instead of asking is it ok to still continue the smoothie, know that it is nourishment, in which your body needs. So don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Blessings.

      @girlygirl1890 thank you. I know that was effective. I have spine problem and it can get inflammed but since I've been on her smoothies, I don't have stiffness anymore. Yes, that's what I am planning to do and add plant based protein.

    TY for your tips but not everyone can be perfect right off the bat and should be congratulated and rewarded for any progress they are making. I am personally drinking more smoothie then I was, eating a big salad and more cabbage everyday. I’ve cut out all meat except salmon which I eat once or twice a week and eggs only on the weekend. I am not seriously ill but do have issues. People are not looking for loopholes, rather, they are trying to do better! Progress, not perfection.

    • @Rudelherz
      @Rudelherz 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Haha, I am the same, but I think you didn't get her point: What she meant and I belong to the group she is addressing: Wanting to have aaaaall the results by doing the minimal amount you need to do😂 still getting away with what we love and like. She didn't start this for ppl like you and I but for terribly sick ppl who were dying from their disease. When you are not in a place like this, you talk about progress, padding yourself on your shoulder, making you feel better when you eat inflammatory foods like eggs etc. I am the same😂 but I don't hold it against her, she wants to do you better. I love her mindset but my past was never as hard as hers so I am too, all about progress, even though I know sticking 100% to her plan would help way more then telling myself about progress 😂 she is the doctor, she needs to make that clear. She wants results for her patients. We would never argue with our teachers/professors telling them about progress when they told us the perfect learning strategy for A results, yet we achieve C's instead of D's, being perfectly content with B's, it is a personal choice. Why would they congratulate/reward you on C's/B's when they gave you all the tools for A's? Unfortunately I am happy with B results, which is sad because I never did anything to improve and easily could have achieved A's with a little bit of work, same with diet. I guess, when the pain is not strong enough you go for less, she couldn't do that, her dreams came true (survive, giving birth...) because she was all in and has the right mindset. If she told us how fantastic we are doing still eating inflammatory foods, she would not only contradict herself but also not help us to get better. A caring person tells you what you don't want to hear😂 those are better friends than those just telling you lies to feel better. Love her and the truth she tells ❤

    I think one of the things you need to acknowledge is the privilege that you had of family support. I had a fantastic attitude and zest for life too but could self actualize and fulfill my dreams due to extreme hardships. My family had the Republican mentality that you have to kick your children out when they’re 18 to grow and fend for themselves. I wasn’t diagnosed until months after I turned 18, homeless and in active kidney failure without access to medical care because there was no Obamacare at the time. Not everyone who had lupus had the capability of going out because they didn’t have access the pain medication or medical care to stabilize their conditions or maybe they were too poor and did not have a car or gas because we were fending for ourselves without family or government support.
    Maybe also at the same time their family wouldn’t even acknowledge their lupus diagnosis. Like mine did. There are different hardships that you’re definitely not addressing because of the privilege you had. This is by no means to shame you but sometimes when you express how you overcame things, you’re not acknowledging the support that you had. I was dying of kidney failure when my family was still telling me I was making it up for attention like a hypochondriac. I didn’t have access to medical care until years after I had kidney failure I was a part of the 2% of people that survive without medical care according to my current rheumatologist. My survival wasn’t necessarily based on my heroic attitude and willingness to go out and have fun. It was because I was lucky I had friends who took me in and helped me get rest and all the sleep I needed to heal.
