Good job on this...dont sweat the comments on your shop. If they were any type of woodworker; even hobbies they would have these tools...basic stuff. Great idea...i will practice this one. Thanks!
Very nice job! You may want to re-think the top on the bottle. The squirrels will take that off. May be a 2-1/2" sewer drain plug? It can be tighten up at the top. Walmart or Ace should have them.
Hello Brett Withjack, first of all, it's a long time ago i really had to write in english so i might be out of training :) I just finished my own Birdfeeder made by your Instruction but i changed one thing in order to make it easier to clean the feeding place: Instead of crafting a wooden feeding dish (as in 2:39), i just crafted another wooden "Ring" (like the one in 4:38 for example) and inserted a plastic pot saucer. Another saucer could be used as the "roof" of the bottle. The big advantage is that you can just put that saucer out of the wooden holder an clean it. Those to saucers were also the only things i had to buy for ~50€cent.
@@Bretts_Builds Thanks! I also uploaded some Pictures of my Version of the Birdfeeder. This might help to clarify what exactly I meant: www.directupload.net/file/d/5357/ky7egfnr_jpg.htm www.directupload.net/file/d/5357/pqij4iga_jpg.htm
110% True craftsman ! I do not have the attention span to carry out on a project long. I used to I used to build intricate 124th scale car models with spark plug wires and everything at 55 I just don't have it anymore.
Well done , I'm pretty sure is so well done that u not need a fake cardinal, if u hang up outside , in less than 30 min the real birds come to eat in ur beautiful bird feeder, Good work , thanks for share
I just happened to stumble on your video and may I say it was just a treat to watch this and be inspired. Great video edits not ever a dull moment. *I have just subscribed.* :-)
Very nice project, I am going to build something very similar. One suggstion: One could add a slight overhang to the lid for a bit more protection from the elements. This comes with the disadvantage, that you can't use the cutoff from the holesaw.
Just a quick simple little project---I call them 5 minute jobs!! Really cute tho- something I could give my son to work on. He loves working with wood.
Wow! DIY? No way, not me, but very cool video. I was thinking more MacGuyver. A wine bottle, a coat hanger and a dish. This is more like Bob Vila! :)))
Great project build! Now all you have to do is keep it away from those MFing Squirrels! I'd also suggest finding a more secure way of attaching the wood stopper. Nice job & I'm sure that the Birds will love it........... Steve
Thanks not needed .lol ...You took the time & effort to show the making of this and I thought it looked good and I watch loads of woodmaking things on youtube. Just trying to give your the credit you deserve. Thks again.
Hey, nice video - cool, relaxing and kind of satisfying, but most of all it's useful because a birdfeeder provides food/energy even if it is snowy. It's important because if they don't eat for 24 hours they die. So well done sir :) I recently made a video about how we made a Bar Birdfeeder. It was a cool adventure I would say :)
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to discover bird aviaries plans try Panlarko Expert Aviary Planner (just google it ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my friend got cool results with it.
I have a problem with the title. It says DIY and never in a million years could I do that. What an artist.Thats amazing to me.
GREAT project. I have to say I like the Cardinal at the end. Nice touch, it's good to know the birds will like it.
thank you!

Your neighborhood squirrel will LOVE that easy off top. Otherwise, lovely.
This looks like my next project in the garden. Thanks for sharing.
wondeful! you have got all your toys to make that feeder.
Great tools to work with your very lucky you know how to operate them and safely. I'm sure it's very rewarding. Great job !!!
Fantastic. I would recommend it is placed under roof out of rainwater as moldy seeds are not good for birds....love this project
This would get sold on Amazon like crazy. Beautiful!!!!
All I can say is, WOW. Skill, precision and beauty!
thanks!

Cool set up
Nice project! Another option to filling the hole in the plug is to use that hole to insert a threaded wooden cabinet knob.
Hey thanks Rob, that's an awesome idea. I'm definitely doing that on my next bird feeder.

thanks! yeah squirrels in my area are fat from all the bird seed haha I'm ok with it though, they're fun to watch when I'm hanging out on the porch
@@Bretts_Builds Coaching the little bandits to pot the top back after they have fished out all they can reach will be a problem :)
Good idea. I Might put a knob handle through drill hole on top instead of filling in with sawdust plug.
Your job is very Nice
brilliant idea for self filling... do you think this would work with dog or cat food?
Belo trabalho , parabéns , gostei do maquinário 😜✌️
