Oh well. Maybe I can scatter them around near the houses as if Santa left them.
Right. All my villagers starting talking about toy day and I panicked. All asking me if I have the perfect gift 🎁 so I’ve been buying a bunch of gifts trying to get ready but now I know I didn’t need to. 😐🥴
One has to be above the character's ear for the body and the head ball goes below the ear. Honestly just roll the body ball until your character starts moving slow when they push it and use the camera app zoomed in to check the other ball

tbh i was kinda looking forward to figuring out what present every villager wants, similar to how it is in new leaf. this version of toy day sounds almost too simple? though i suppose this game is made for children rather than (young) adults, so it makes kinda sense
Jingle! I’m sad that you aren’t giving villagers gifts they requested. That would have been more fun for me. I’m going to wrap actual toys and big furniture items in extra festive wrapping paper if I can - green or red if I can’t- and give out better gifts on Christmas Day.
ugh this event just feels like "easy mode".. i was expecting & hoping it was similar to NL.. there doesn't seem much point in getting to know our villagers at all, down to lost items (what's the point of the investigate feature if the incorrect villager just tells you who it belongs to anyway), the weight of gifted items on friendship level, etc..
Probably ALOT of small children will be getting the game for Xmas so that's probably why it's so easy and I'm okay with that. I spend most of my time playing Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
@@GETONxYOURKNEES you're abs right, but that age group probably doesn't understand the tasks & rewards of the game in general. anyone 8+ could complete the original tasks without issue in most cases. the turkey day event would have been fairly complex for a younger age group so i'm not sure what the reasoning for amping that up but minimizing toy day would be.
@@modest_meghan Not everyone is intense about collecting every item. Thanksgiving is not as important as Christmas. It’s not something children look forward to for months. Christmas is a more “intense” holiday.
As someone who is completely new to Animal Crossing, I actually appreciate that it's simple (this time at least). It's already a stressful holiday and Turkey Day was a lot for me so I am happy about this. I do wish the gift was more like a holiday sweater that they would wear than fruit tho. I also want to say thank you for your videos! Like I said, I have never played this game before and bought it due to the global crisis and it's really helped a lot. But I was super clueless to most things and I found your videos and they are my favorite because they're informative, brief and actually helpful. Amazing work and I can't wait to see your comments on next year's' events!
Well its a good thing Nintendo isn't being lazy and recognizes Christmas as a big holiday and knows we've been waiting for something new. I'll be participating in the event, I'm pretty sure I can find a spare 5 minutes in my day to get it done.
JINGLE I thought that the villagers were going to tell us what they liked for Toy Day. When should we give toys which we bought from the shop to our villagers? Thank you!
I don't think they have a use other than decorations for the house/island (they are seasonal objects like the surfing tables on summer, or the halloween furniture), but I did the same and bought them thinking it was for them, so I will most likely wrap them up and still give it to them to up friendship levels and get stuff in return any other day.
I’m glad to hear about this. Now I can give my villagers toys that I think they’ll like. Already started with bears, books and RC toys. I’d hate to miss that piece of the season. It’s funny to see who likes what anyway.
If you can, look up the videos on how to balloon farm. I just finished crafting and placing a bunch of jail bars to redirect the balloons to the southern beach, so I don’t have to sprint laps around my island. I don’t know if it works yet, but fingers crossed!
Jingle! Yes i will. Im still trying to get the decoration days. I dont have many chances the next few days so let's hope I'll get lucky. Thanks for the info.

I hope you have a happy Toy Day and holiday!! I’ll definitely be taking part in Toy Day!!!! Jingle!!!
Jingle I will be participating, but I'm actually disappointed in the event. I love the furniture/DIY and the stuff you get (stockings, sleigh, etc.), but I really loved Toy Day in New Leaf where we had to figure out the villager's favourite colour, what each wanted for Xmas, etc., and then make sure to give the correct gift (no name tags involved). Just running around and handing them already tagged gifts is, well...boring... dull... bleh. Sigh, the same thing happened with Hallowe'en. It was not as fun as in New Leaf (although, the skin colour, eye colour, face painting were really cool). I get they need to change it to keep it fresh, and different, but I wish things weren't quite so... handed to us. I think the presentation in NL was more like little puzzles or mini games to play. It just added a little more to the event. I guess the real fun of the season is decorating the island, not Toy Day itself. Still, going to have fun regardless. I love ACNH!
Omg thank goodness this is sooo much easier than it was in New Leaf, I hated the amount of stress i had to go through just to keep up with what all my villagers wanted, only to STILL get it wrong on Toy Day. Everyday they would change their minds about what they wanted and it was impossible to keep track, I'm so glad they changed the way this event works. This game is supposed to be relaxing not stressful.
Jingle. BTW thanks Mayor Mori for the making the perfect snowman tips. It works! And it's the best explanation I've seen. Merry Christmas! Or should I say Happy Toy Day!
