If you study Goju Ryu, they are more like Jujutsu but they prefer stand down waiting to be attacked. If they really Goju vs Goju in their philosophy, they will just stand there staring at each other.

Goju ryu is full contact just see the word goju itself go means hard and ju means soft the go techniques are punches kicks and strikes the ju techniques is soft like grappling locks etc

There are many types of competitions in Goju-Ryu. Irikumi go, Irikumi ju, kakie kumite, ippon kumite, nichon kumite, sanbon kumite. All of these techniques are learned in Goju-Ryu.
