One thing about the Italy vs North Macedonia game: At one point I remember the North Macedonian keeper going full Karius and accidentally passing the ball to an Italian attacker, who's shot at an open net was so weak that the keeper had time to dive across and save it. If Italy can't even score from that mistake, they REALLY don't deserve to go to the World Cup.
Just a bit of context for the Peru v Uruguay game. Most Peruvians didn't care whether it was a goal or not, what bothered us most is how much CONMEBOL refs shaft the smaller teams and no one does anything about it. After the ball passed the line, the ref didn't for a split second consider it in. Nor is there an actual good shot of the ball in the net. There's a corruption in CONMEBOL and it favors the big teams...

also it's important to mention that Brazil hadnt beaten bolivia in Bolivia for a WC Qualifier since 1985 mostly due to the high altitudes that ruins players

For those unfamiliar with Bolivia's star player: They only play in La Paz, their capital and a city 3.700 meters (11811,02 ft) above sea level. The thinner air makes it harder to breathe and the ball runs faster. And since the home team is fully adapted to these conditions, the handicap falls only on the other side and that's basically how they even manage to get their points in the qualifiers, besides from beating Venezuela sometimes in the duel of the dead last.
Ecuador also does this but since they have a way better squad than Bolivia (the same Brazil that bested Bolivia by 4-0 only managed a lucky tie against Ecuador in a very messy game), they manage to win games as visitors too.

Italy won their first 6 nations match (A European rugby competition where Italy always finish last) since 2014, against a, admittedly, weak wales side.
Since 2015 actually, but either way it's been a long time between Italian wins! I have a soft spot for the Italians (I'm part Italian myself) but boy their rugby team is frustrating. Especially during the last couple of years they've started games well but were never able to finish it over the 80 minutes. Until Wales this year of course.
They've still never beaten England in the Six Nations though.
Weak or not Wales won the grand slam last year, so you can't take anything away from Italy, their back line did wonders that game.

As an Algerian, it's been more than a week after the game and i still couldn't recover from the shock. We had high hopes and were confident enough to reach Qatar but the referee had other plans. I will never get over it

Both couldn't qualify to the 2018 world cup, both won the next cup of their respective continents, both went undefeated for years and both couldn't qualify for this year's world cup with a last minute goal. You forgot to mention that, with the win against Bolivia, Brazil passed Argentina and now holds the record of most points in the qualifications HISTORY (with one game still to play). People think it is easy but Brazil has a history of sometimes doing terrible in qualifiers, even in 2002 we were not good and you know what happened in the WC.
As an Ecuadorian I'm so glad we're not the first team to face Senegal. If those lasers are used in the world cup I really hope actions will be taken to prevent it happening again in the next matches.

Peruvian here, I'm honestly pretty proud of the team. The salt is gone about the Uruguay game, now just gotta focus on Australia/UAE in the middle of a Qatari desert in June, when temperatures should be really high, halfway across the world, can't see where it goes wrong! :D
North Macedonia's win was extremely cathartic for those of us who dislike the Italian team and players, but were forced to cheer for them in the euros because England winning would have been so much worse...

We skipped Russia due to obvious reasons and then got gifted two goals from Swedish defenders, first a penalty after stupid and unnecessary foul in the box and second after Swedish defender didn't control the ball and Zielisnki run out one on one, so yeah thanks to Good Guy Sweden we are in the World Cup, don't worry tho we will probably get humiliated in a group stage like we always do at the World Cup.

portugal vs turkey looked like portugal had it in control until turkey scored their first goal. thank god they missed the penalty. we then subbed leao and two more other other players on. that gave us control over the game again. 3rd goal was the result of those subs.
north macedonia vs portugal was mostly the same. we controlled the pace of the game and won it easily
