@@hessen5498 I can easily tell you to check the Senegal team's goal it was a foul against them in the first place, but even then penalties are a draw, not a win there's a huge difference, and for something as delicate as penalties literally, one mistake, one slip, or a blinded player can easily influence the outcome of penalties. Plus if Senegal really deserved to win why didn't they win in extra time, they had the advantage of 30 extra minutes on their ground that the Egyptians didn't have and still they failed and had to resort to penalties where their lasers clutched the match for them.
This was my first proper qualifier watch since El Salvador actually had a shot. Our only real chance was playoffs but that was being optimistic, but the shithousery this entire round brought was amazing and hopefully the squad gels together and can improve for the next qualifying outing

I'm a Canadian as well. Hopefully they'll do better in 2026. But the qualifying rounds definitely showed a LOT of promise. Besting the likes of Mexico and USMNT is no easy feat. The fact that this was the first world cup appearance in 36 years probably spooked them and that's why they choked and had such an underwhelming performance. I have faith they'll do better in the next one if they explore the young talent to its fullest potential.
