In addition I am in collaboration with another detective TH-camr now, going by the name Sherringford Holmes, we have done a collaboration video that we will be putting on his channel around Christmas

I think that I might not have explained the point I was trying to get across well enough in that video. My point was that it doesn't matter who you are, with training you can train your mind to be more observant and logical, and that you don't have to pretend to be something you're not to attain that skill. Just put time into training yourself and you will be able to learn this skill, yes you might have a disadvantage in some areas that other people don't but don't let that stop you, even as an INTJ I have certain disadvantages that other people don't have in deduction, we all have things we need to work on, and personal flaws or shortcomings that we have to overcome, and that's ok

that is irrelevant to observation training. just focus on your own strengths and weaknesses as a person and determine what strengths you have that can be used to your benefit in observation, and determine how to improve upon and combat your weaknesses that get in the way of observation

+Abdul Shakoor I'm glad I could help. I know what it's like when you first get started, the hardest thing is to find some good material out there that gives you some solid information. I hope the work I do here can help you achieve what it is you are looking for in deduction. Obviously I don't get many comments on these videos so in the future if you have any questions concerning deduction just ask me in the comments and I'll be sure to answer it.

You talked a lot about how it's a gradual learning process, and the benefits of heightened observation, and how this first principle is the core of observation and the most practical as well as the easiest. The part we are to introduce to our lives, I take it, is the mental map of the placement, size, colour, and your relation to the objects of a room. Any tips on how to remember to do this? and how long should we try to remember this map? Are there any exercises we can do to become better at seeking detail? What detail is good to know, and what level? I saw an exercise on Observe's channel about sketching a room, is this pertinent and helpful? (The exercise was to observe a room as much as you could then turn around and sketch it/write down everything you remember).
Thank you very much! looking forward to applying to my daily life. My notes are growing, growing, growing!

So like 15 minutes ago, I didn't have a thought on trying to become more observant, but now... I think I'll try to apply this first principle.
It's funny how you bring up the example of being clumsy. It makes me wonder if you used to bump into things and learned to stop. Fewer bruises and stubbed toes would be nice...

I notice I naturally make note of facts and how they relate to other ideas in science and nature but I don't naturally make observations in the physical world.
In the written world i might.
Like looking through a codebase i might make observations that are in a sense physical (on the screen) but more conceptual in nature.

on the bottom right of the playback window, of course you have the full screen button, to the left of that there is the theater mode button, and to the left of that there is a gear icon, click on that and settings will pop up. at the bottom there is the quality setting, then the subtitles setting, and then the speed setting, click on speed, and you can increase the playback speed to 1.25 times faster, 1.5 times faster or 2 times faster, and also slow the playback speed down, to 0.5 times slower or 0.25 times slower

I didn't quite understand this. You're saying the first principle of observation is to map my relation to objects and people in the room I'm in? I don't know if I've misunderstood, but this is something I've always done. I don't see how this is something I need to practice, but to be honest, I didn't quite understand your explanation. Am I already ready for step two, or have I completely misunderstood?

So then... Do you recommend to train the 3 observational steps one at a time? Wouldnt it be faster to try knowing the 3 and then trying to do the 3 one at a time and train them all at the same time? Maybe that wouldnt be optimal?

    • @radicaldonkey9745
      @radicaldonkey9745 6 ปีที่แล้ว

Ronald Knox it's best for starters to start slower, because knowing all three can be jumbled into your "Memory Attic" and you'll have a hard time doing all three. It's best to start slow, then when all three have become an unoticed habit, you'll be able to do all three all at once.

Uhh. Hi. Just trying something out.. 😅 if i am correct, based on what have observed in this video, you, jordan, filmed this video somewhat
-at the age of 13 -16(i see that you are well shape and you don't have a deep voice like you have today),
-film in a short a time of ((obviously )as I noticed you breath heavily and speak normal to moderate speed and the fact that you said you have a unfinished video) you really seemed to be busy guy back in these days.

Ne Rion Rizalte not too bad I was 16 my voice hadn’t deepened but I was trying to make it deeper because I hadn’t really gotten comfortable with my natural voice on camera, I was doing a lot of martial arts back then so I was staying in good shape and I was kinda busy back then but for the most part that had to do with school, I was struggling a lot with how I wanted to make videos at that time which was why my content was all over the place
