5 miles per kWh, yea but at what price of the car... doesnt matter if a car is super efficient if its insanely expensive to buy, even people with money are not spending stupid amounts of money on a product just its efficient to drive. Its the BMW M8 (E31) story all over again. They packed that car full of tech and it was truly amazing but it was crazy expensive and people in that category have very particular taste and feel for what a car should be.
This is what the American customer cares about. Is it enough range? Is it a good price? Does it have the technology that I want? Does it look nice? Does it feel comfortable? Is it going to last? does things work? Does it have a warranty with the battery can I get help fast And cheap will the company be around? If you can nail those things you will not go bankrupt like so many before you.
You have to make the company profitable so it can survive going down the road, if you have to keep shoving money into it so it can survive it will not last long. It will be an expensive lawn ornament. Hope they make it to get some healthy competition to Tesla but it’s not looking good for them. $2 stock price now.
I'm starting to see Lucid Airs pop up near me. I bought the stock when they IPO 'd and I sold it high. The stock is dirt cheap now, so I bought some again recently. I'll keep adding to my position in case they become viable down the road. Seems like people like the cars and they have Saudi money so they'll be fine for a while at least.

You need to understand that this is a start-up. They have the backing of the biggest fund in the world. They won't be going out of business like the narrative is being put as. As part of their plan, they have had two record quarters of deliveries. To achieve profitability, their Saudi Arabia and Arizona plant needs to be developed, this is in progress. From next year onwards, the journey to scale begins. Upon doing so, they will reduce losses on their vehicles and will achieve profitability in 3-5 years.
